I have 2 Dior one is a city chic in black bought that on holiday in America the other i cant find the name of buts its black and had an orange travel tag that clips off.

OneLittleLady · 16/01/2015 16:46

Sorry to hear about your friend Shop I hope he makes as good a recovery as he can

A little more sales shopping today BUT not clothes. I bought some silver flat form sandals, flat black velvet mary jane shoes and a few pairs of sterling silver earrings as the costume ones I have, a lot of them seem to make my ears itch and get a little swollen so I'm going to give the bulk of them away. lib if I have any gold tone ones kicking around, would you like them to try out?. I also bought a load of snacks and bits and pieces to send to Dp. Just making sure he's looked after Smile

Stokey · 16/01/2015 16:52

If you're near London Novice, Moorfields eye hospital is great, we've been going there with DD1 since just after her 4th birthday. You can go private or NHS, same Drs just quicker waiting time privately.

I got an email from my HoC consultant telling me the pantone colour of 2015 is Marsala. It initially looks very brown to me, but she says it's great for winters and summers and is in fact nearer burgundy. It makes me think I don't really get the tonal aspect of the colours as I would have avoided this as too browny.

BrandyAlexander · 16/01/2015 17:18

Thank you ladies. Yes, ds has now been prescribed cute little glasses, which we pick up next week. He has also been referred to the hospital. dh did ask last night whether we should just go private, and I said no, on the basis that if he has the glasses then i guess there was no need to go rushing. However, the Moorfield Eye hospital idea is a really good one. Thanks Stokey.

Evening! Bloody freezing here and set to be -10 on Monday apparently Shock had a heavy snow fall (for about 2min) today....not settled.
Shop'i didn't notice the hem man look but looking at it it's not very pronounced and I don't mind asymmetric at all.
Santa I loved the Fendi Spy bag. Did not love the LV multi coloured at all, infact I'm not a LV fan really, too many rip offs. Love the Lady(?) by DIor , totally impractical and granny prob though.

I had (and still do somewhere) a Dior saddle bag. I wonder now what on earth I was thinking as it is so not me but it was about 12 years ago. I remember the Murakami LV bags too mainly from market stalls Grin
Not sure what makes a classic It bag I tend to go for bags without too much structure as I don't work in a formal environment and most of my clothes are casual. The Givenchy Antigona seems v popular atm. Lovely but too stuctured and expensive for me.
Love those boots Betty sounds like you got them for a good price.
Novice Hope you will not have to wait too long for a hosp appt for your ds. My dc have all seen an eye specialist as dh has a rare eye condition, we did not have to wait long for appts each time.
Shop I have no advice either I'm afraid but hope your friend makes a good recovery.

Cranagh · 16/01/2015 18:37

Dry, hope the All Saints sweater is good!

I was wearing those boots today too, Betty, I love them.

Hope your DS gets an appt soon, Novice.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 16/01/2015 18:40

shoes loving these still dream shopping while making dinner

Karbea · 16/01/2015 18:45

My first designer bag was a fendi, it's a very small bag that actually could still be quite useful, although the strap is black, and I don't do black anymore ;)
I think the only Dior thing I have is a purse.

I'm back from the hairdressers, they were excellent totally recommend them.

I got 4 of the tech tops from uniqlo, so will test next week when I'm back at work, I wanted to get brown or another autumn colour leggings as they are so useful to wear under the nasty work trousers but they didn't have any in another apart from black or grey as far as I could see.
I also got a lancome mascara in brown really not sure how I'm going to get on with it, and an Estée Lauder primer.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 16/01/2015 19:10

When i started my new career a long time a go i had a bit of a thing for dior and bought my first handbag which was a dior flight handbag/tote (finally found it on the internet) in plain black. Its a great bag i use it for work a lot if i dont need to take lunch with me.

Karbea · 16/01/2015 19:25

I do apologise for my posts there are always so many typos due to my iPad creatively changing words :/

OneLittleLady · 16/01/2015 19:45

lib I have a 'statement' necklace that's perfect colours for an autumn if you want to try it? if it's no good for you, you can pass it on to someone else. i saw it in my box and thought of you straight away. it's all deep bronzes, teals and orangey reds. dont know what possessed me to buy it as its never ever suited me, it looks odd against my skin

LinusDKD · 16/01/2015 19:45

Watching an old episode of the Graham Norton Show with Meryl Streep, Mark Ruffalo and James McAvoy.

James MacAvoy....... Yum! I never really thought he was attractive until I saw him with Hugh Jackman and Michael Fassbender on another episode of the G. Norton Show and I was converted. Grin

santamarianovella · 16/01/2015 19:50

linus that was me taking it easy, I work with PT three times week and I take Pilates twice a week, canceled Pilates as I can't do some of the moves, and my PT made a low impact workout for me,and I couldn't do half of it, felt like crying, I don't want my ass to go all droopy Sad, I have a good shaped ass and want to keep it that way,
I'm just worried that my energy level and metabolism are slow now, is there a test to determine that?
Im limiting my food intake, till I can do proper excercise again, and have been doing lots of brisk walking, going up and down the stairs..etc.

shop I have no idea, fancy chocolates maybe?

betty great buy, they are very edgy, and everyone here loves them,

I think it's very tricky determining how a bag can achieve a classic status, I think most designers, have no inclination to produce timeless bags, they keep "reworking" them every season, to keep things interesting, so they really differ from one season to the other, and thus they are creating one hit wonders,

The only bags that withstand time are chanel flap and reissue and most of the hermes bags.

amber I remember going to the vuitton store, back in 2003 and when I asked one of the SA about the Murakami bag, he said that not even Bernard ARnault can get me one, as they were very limited and only VViP were lucky enough to preorder them, that really put me off of them,

dry I love your" hunt for the perfect"... Insert any word, love how it turns into a team effort.

I'm loving that you all bought the Dior saddle bag, and now it's your bag of shame, Grin mine was a Gucci Logo with horsebit Blush Blush ,

Those are some serious shoes, muddling

LinusDKD · 16/01/2015 19:53

Back to fashion!

This is the Fendi bag DM was considering. She fell in love with the colour of the small one when she saw it IRL but she wanted the bigger size as she loves very big bags so I went to check it out for her.

Unfortunately the big one is a slightly more greyish blue than the small one so she's not tempted anymore.

She has got her eye on another baby blue one from Bottega Veneta though. Grin

Sorry santa, I shouldn't be laughing but your comment about not wanting your ass to go droopy made me lol!

Drywhiteplease · 16/01/2015 20:03

Karbea mine puts crazy exclamation marks everywhere Grin
muddling I'm with you! those shoes are beautiful.

Karbea · 16/01/2015 20:06

santa I used to see a pt 3 or 4 times a week and had a fit body, bum, definition etc. I hadn't done any exercise at all since last feb until this week and apart from a more rotund belly I wouldn't say anything else has really changed, my arms still have definition etc and I can see just after a few days of yoga everything quickly improving, so I'm sure you'll be fine.
Also there was a diet prog on the other night that said heavier people have faster metabolic rates, as you diet this slows which is why people on diets plateau weight wise after a while as they continue to eat the same amount of calories on their diet but their metabolic rate slows so they need to eat less not the same.

Karbea · 16/01/2015 20:07

dry mine does that too!

Drywhiteplease · 16/01/2015 20:09

And Santa take it easy, slow and steady, build back up gradually. And, yes, I do become a bit obsessed when I'm looking for a specific item.

A girlfriend told me today that she's not buying any clothes until July Shock when she'll buy a "few bits for summer"....being the good friend that I am I offered my support "you're crazy, it'll be all sales crap then, do it until May when all the S/s is in" Grin doesn't she know anything?

Oh and I forgot to say I had two people complement me today my friend said I was looking well and the hairdresser said I was looking very glam (before she did my hair). Loving my new lippy and shirt ;)

muddlingalongquitenicely · 16/01/2015 20:22

Thats great Karbea to hear your getting lovely compliments.
My samples came from Avene skin care hopefully will help with the redness, also my little box came today i dont feel so impressed with this one compared to the others.

Karbea · 16/01/2015 20:26

muddling what's your little box?

muddlingalongquitenicely · 16/01/2015 20:30

Its a monthly subscription box like birchbox (i thinks its called) i started getting it when they did the dvf scarf they have been ok usually but this one just seems meh to me

bettykt · 16/01/2015 20:32

Good advice to your friend Dry some people don't know how lucky they are to have a Voguette on hand to dish out fashion titbits Wink

Got a compliment about my boots on SR.

Santa you are young your arse is not about to go south any time soon if at all all in good time.

Linus I saw that one last week, loved the unicycle riding

I remember the Dior Saddle bags and the Fendi mini baguette that were everywhere too.
