Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

70s jeans

QueenCardigan · 04/01/2015 08:15

I like the idea of wide legged black trousers

QueenCardigan · 04/01/2015 08:21

Nice blouse

QueenCardigan · 04/01/2015 08:23

flared jeans

QueenCardigan · 04/01/2015 08:29

not good when hungover

bettykt · 04/01/2015 08:30

Mara I love love the red Woolrich. I really like a bright winter coat and wish I hadn't gone for the boring ubiquitous khaki parka.

QueenC that Miu Miu crocheted top yeuch. Ponders how long it will take before we're all swapping our skinnies snd raving about those hideous flares - never say never Grin

Remus forgot to say I'm all about the high street too.

Dry I'd like a crisp white shirt too. I like both the items you linked but I think Kris Kardashian wears that combo a lot. Disclaimer - you wouldn't look anything like KK in that outfit.

QueenCardigan · 04/01/2015 08:32

lovely crochet dress

bettykt · 04/01/2015 08:40

The hideous jeans are the MMM ones I quite like the MiH ones. Also like the IM dress although I thought it was a blouse at first Blush not loving the Valentino rainbow stripes.

QueenCardigan · 04/01/2015 08:45

Just had a quick look at high St stuff and the 70s vibe hasn't filtered through yet. betty totally agree that we will all be in flares. I prefer the idea in summer though with sandals I think.

libertychick · 04/01/2015 08:49

Can't do 70's denim flares! The crochet top would be v easy to make. I have a pattern for one if anyone would like it Grin.

I could do a fringed bag though.

Lovely to see you remus. Did you ever find a yellow skirt BTW? I recall we were both looking for one at the same time.

I am in bed with [tea] having a bit of chill out time. Having DD's birthday party later today. 7 children due. I have pre cut out cardboard crowns for them to decorate and have done a little plan for games and giving them pizza and ice cream. Unfortunately they were all at another birthday party yesterday which featured soft play, full Frozen theme, entertainers etc and v v generous loot bags. This party will be a little more low key cheap Truth be told I'd rather spend the money on clothes Grin

LinusDKD · 04/01/2015 09:00

Morning!

Lovely Sunday links QueenC! Not sure about the crochet top but I do like the IM Etoile dress.

these have mara written all over them.

LinusDKD · 04/01/2015 09:01

And these for novice. They still have a size 36 Wink

libertychick · 04/01/2015 09:01

Dry the navy skirts I ordered will arrive tomorrow I hope.

santa good call I think on not taking your DD to Paddington. minilib is getting over the trauma slowly although we had another discussion over breakfast this morning about why was his Mum dead followed by several questions about who would look after her if I died. I suspect she is just at the stage were she is becoming aware of death and Paddington has brought it all out.

bettykt · 04/01/2015 09:02

Liberty I think your party sounds great. All children love a party any party and they don't give a flying f*k whether it cost £100 or £1000. all they want to do is play, get fed, eat cake and tip the contents of the party bag all over the car floor Grin hope dd has a fantastic time.

libertychick · 04/01/2015 09:03

Linus you could be a personal stylist. Those really are perfect shoe choices for Mara and novice.

santamarianovella · 04/01/2015 09:05

Happy birthday miniliberty, kids will only have fun and enjoy the party, they are very easy to please!

mara I love the look of the red byrd parka, but I highly think red will be a good idea, it's nice if you have other parkas and you want one a bright one, but I feel you will get bored with it quick, and it looks odd teamed with jeans, I think it's best to get something, more versatile,

I love that crochet top,

libertychick · 04/01/2015 09:06

Thanks Betty! Lol at tipping the loot bag all over the car floor. That's exactly what happens to that stuff!

MarshaBrady · 04/01/2015 09:11

Linus those links are gorgeous.

Lib sounds perfect, we've had some smaller parties the dc love both.

Mara other people's children filtered out as the evening went on, tg! You should get those GRs.

MarshaBrady · 04/01/2015 09:17

Remus great to have you here, a mix of links is good.

Love that crochet dress, can feel my attention being diverted to SS15.

I don't know what to buy next past some pjs. The usual summer stuff will feature at some point - new flats.

Stokey · 04/01/2015 09:43

Lost a post on my phone last night and suddenly we're on page 4, well done for new thread Shop.

Thanks for the info about the ME + Em top Justa, suspect it's not for me.

Loving the Sunday morning links QueenC, I love a bit of 70s so will definitely be up for channelling some flares and flowing dresses.

I like the red coat too Mara but maybe navy is more serviceable?

I still feel like my sales shopping hasn't finished yet. I'm considering this Hobbs duffle coat, maybe I've been overinfluenced by Paddington?

I'm also still looking for a chunky jumper, something like the gorgeous Chloe one that Santa linked but in a different colour and at high street prices, just the moon on a stick really.

Uniqlo had some cashmere in store for £30 a jumper One. It's quite thin but great for layering, none left on line though.

Oh and happy birthday miniLib!

maradesbois · 04/01/2015 09:46

Morning!

In bed with espresso no.2 that had to cajole dh into making (he presses the button so well Wink). Always a pleasure to wake up to QueenC links but not sure about this '70s trend. Think Marsha could work a subtle nod to it well.

Linus thanks for the Rossi link, gorgeous! I'd be v tempted but they only have 40 left and am usually 39. Can anyone advise re sizing, Marsha?

Lib oh your poor baby. I was just like her when I was little, thought very deeply about stories and a worrier. Ds is hard as nails but even he emitted a heartfelt 'poor Paddington' at one point that nearly had me sobbing. Btw yy to what Betty said about parties, loot bags etc. We know someone who gave out monogrammed capes with the initials of each child. Lovely items but the dc were just Shock at the absence of haribos etc. At the moment am deciding whether to keep it small at home with about 7 dc including cousins or soft play thing with the whole school class. School would have to be everyone or nobody so veering towards the smaller option.

Thanks for coat feedback. I got a bit put off the Moncler as apart from the price it is a real town coat and v smart so think it would end up replacing my black wool burberry prorsum coat which would be a shame. While we were away for NYE a (male) friend had a red Moncler jacket and while he is by no way my style reference point the brightness of the red against the winter landscape just grabbed me. I'd also feel justified in buying another more sensible colour next winter.

MarshaBrady · 04/01/2015 09:52

Mara Lol on pressing the button well. They are small so I have a 40.5 not a 40. Only half a size up so not sure re whole size. but they'd be perfect otherwise.

I don't think I could do flares, QueenC perhaps? But other stuff oversize sunnies and sun hats, a dress etc I like.

Drywhiteplease · 04/01/2015 09:54

"I don't need anything" Hmm
Just bought these for work. Probably too narrow for my wide foot, but will try.
These are nice
QueenC love the KC wide legged trousers. Think that is such a flattering style. Really love waking up to your Sunday morning style edit.
Flares? Meh.......although always hanker after boot cuts and huge heels .
Betty is KK the mum? Hmm still like the look for work.......ws thinking Clare Underwood HOC Grin

Drywhiteplease · 04/01/2015 09:55

Lib good luck with the party. Agree with Betty, kids just love any party. Will be great I'm sure.

santamarianovella · 04/01/2015 09:57

I've tried a couple and I'm usually 38.5 but they were big, and the SA suggested going down a size, but they didn't have any, it was a peachy suede one, similar to marshas,
