Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

8 hours!!! The longest walk I did in the Blue Mountains was 3 hours. I have agreed with DH that we will do the Milford Sound 3 day hike in NZ sometime when DD is old enough. He did it with his DPs when he was 8 or 9.

Cranagh · 14/01/2015 17:07

He's out of my price range too, sadly, Fedup, even with a family discount!

shopafrolic · 14/01/2015 17:08

Flying in to say Lib I have packed an IKEA sack full of stuff for you today including lots of dresses. Do you want to try the Me&em grecian in teal?
I have several coats for you too - and still need to go through my jewellery.

Thanks for all the good wishes - just a bit disillusioned with the internet in the last 24 hours - disgusting human beings about.

Back soon.

hello all!

I passed with flying colours with the percentage equivalent of a 1st for that exam! also did my other hand in so will be graded on that by next week. I'm waiting excitedly for my new down and feather duvet to arrive, I was hoping it would be here today but all I got was bills bills bills

Lots of interesting talk about colours and CPs. My veins are definitely blue, sort of a purpley blue to be exact, very different to my Dsis who definitely has green.

cartoontrickster · 14/01/2015 17:10

I'm sneaking back in as all this talk of colours and style personalities has me intrigued. i could never afford to get it done but i feel like it might help give me some direction. i often know what i want to wear and can put an outfit together in my head but it never looks how i imagined. any tips on self diagnosis??

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/01/2015 17:27

Well done One, great news!

Shop hope you are ok. I can only imagine the sorts of things you're talking about on the internet :( some people have sad sad lives.

Hello cartoon :) yep lots of self diagnosis:
The Chic Fashionista fashion style quiz
Personal Clothing Styles guide
Body shape and personality type
Kibbe style quiz and advice spreadsheet

Obviously HoC also offer that 1:1 service as well though and more tailored advice Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/01/2015 17:29

As for colour I am pretty much a believer that you can't really do it yourself to the level that HoC can. There are lots of guides online but there's nothing like seeing it in person and having the colours individually graded.

cartoontrickster · 14/01/2015 17:51

thanks blair will have a look when DS is in bed.

santamarianovella · 14/01/2015 17:53

shop so sorry to hear that, may he RIP.
Are you ok?

That's great one,

Karbea · 14/01/2015 17:57

Has anyone any thoughts on mascara and kohl pencil brands? I've been very loyal to lancome for mascara and I've had a black rimmel pencil all my life for a long time, but I need to venture into blue black and a new kohl...

libertychick · 14/01/2015 18:06

If you can fit it in Shop that would be great. Please don't stress about it - you sound like you have enough going on this week. Do you have the Me&Em maxi in black as I thought you might like to try mine? I had it taken up though so it may be too short for you.

Hope you are ok Flowers

muddlingalongquitenicely · 14/01/2015 18:35

Evening everyone, well done One!

Feeling bleh today got a cold brewing, something has agravated my face so my skin looks all red and last night when i did my skin routine it felt like my skin was burning and i have used all this stuff before.

libertychick · 14/01/2015 18:43

My skin can be more sensitive when I'm not well Muddling. How annoying.

One very well done!

muddlingalongquitenicely · 14/01/2015 18:49

My DH Hmm suggested i was going through the change and my skin was red due to hot flushes!

Ok question time can some one 5ft 3in wear cullottes and if so how long/short would you aim for?

OneLittleLady · 14/01/2015 18:55

muddling I am shorter than you by a considerable amount in fact so i wouldn't wear them, they'd be wrong on me length wise unless i could squeeze into childrens ones. you might be best trying to find some in a petite range as otherwise you run the risk of them hitting the wrong part of your leg and making your legs look teeny

and thank you all, i'm absolutely chuffed Grin

LinusDKD · 14/01/2015 18:58

Well done one! You must be so proud!

Fedupnagging · 14/01/2015 19:00

One well done Smile

Shop I was reading something the other day about people posting abuse on twitter etc - I am completely baffled as to why someone would do that. Some sad f**kers around. More Flowers.

Karbea I use Mac kohl pencils - lots of colours and they go on really easily and stay on. Mascara - not much difference I don't think between premium and non p brands; currently using Mac black and Max factor blue although not at the same time!

Lib pm.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 14/01/2015 19:18

Thanks One im not sure about them to be honest but they are in a lot of magazines/blogs and im trying to be open to wearing new things. I quite like the ones that look like you're wearing a skirt (the very wide leg sort) and might be ok for work.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/01/2015 19:22

muddling I have the legs of a 5'3 person Grin and I have some, wore them today in fact. Always with high heels though, and high waisted. They do look like an A-line skirt! No point me linking them as I got them last spring but I agree they're good for work.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 14/01/2015 19:32

Oops link didnt work like i thought it would these were the sort of thing i was thinking of

AmberNectarine · 14/01/2015 19:39

Funny - that kibbe quiz on body shape gave me COMPLETELY the wrong CP. I think it's about a lot more than that.

Interesting that you think Cos for Gamine blair, apart from beanies I have never had any success whatsoever in there.

OneLittleLady · 14/01/2015 19:43

I think I did that Kibbe quiz a while ago, I think it was that one at least and it gave me romantic classic or something along those lines, certainly whatever would fit the HoC romantic classic. Romantic I can kinda see, I'm curvy etc etc but not classic, never classic. I can't see that in me at all, I've never ever been a classic dresser, never in my life.

shopafrolic · 14/01/2015 20:01

Lib I don't have the maxi in black, but am bringing you my one in khaki.
