Still going strong as we head into 2015. Not a chance I can beat the vol 50 intro from the lovely Dry so I won't even try. Lots of newbies have joined the fun, why don't you? Come tell us your sales splurges. All welcome for fun fashion chat.

I'm still here. :)

That white blouse is great - I love a touch of the Laurence Llewelyns every now and then, though I can't actually wear anything like that myself.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/01/2015 21:36

Shame about the Whistles skirt, Shop. I bloomin' love em!

shopafrolic · 03/01/2015 21:37

Wowsers Santa
What are the trends for SS15 btw? I have no idea Hmm

shopafrolic · 03/01/2015 21:40

Do you Remus? The length was good, but where the hem is essentially the fabric folded (am I making any sense?), it puckered and sat strangely. Shame as the thickness of the fabric was good, held me in etc. I basically need that, but with a stitched hem I think....

I have no idea what the trends are either....I stopped buying fashion magazines because they only made me feel bad about myself Hmm

santamarianovella · 03/01/2015 21:47

I have no idea shop,

linus I really love 60s clothes, my ultimate crush from that era is Catherine Deneuve, specially in belle de jour, and Jane birkin of course.

BrandyAlexander · 03/01/2015 21:48

Goodness Shop!Shock

shopafrolic · 03/01/2015 21:49

santamarianovella · 03/01/2015 21:55

So does that mean you will be my edina shop? Boobs print tee shirt is compulsory you know Wink

shopafrolic · 03/01/2015 21:57

LOL but I always wanted to be Patsy. Class A drugs, fag constantly hanging out of my mouth. I was just missing the huge hair. Plus I never quit eating. Damn it, I am Edina aren't I?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 03/01/2015 22:08

BTW I no longer smoke or take drugs just felt the need to clarify

Could I be anymore stylish right now?! In Batman pjs and a Star wars dressing gown. I am at least clean though, there's no Young Ones type behaviour here!

Karbea · 03/01/2015 22:14

I won't be showing my belly or wearing large flowers.

justasecond · 03/01/2015 22:22

Stokey I tried on the top with a heatech underneath and it seemed too tight on the stomach so i posted it straight back, it would prob have been fine without a layer underneath. I would say its prob not a great top for someone with an ample chest. I am quite pancake like in that department though.
No planned purchases as such for this year but if I see this bag for about 40% off I will prob buy it Grin
chloe marcie satchel
I would also like some loafers. I tried the RB chesters but just did not fit right so I returned them. I am also still looking for black biker boots though doubt I will find any for now.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/01/2015 22:24

I wonder if you just got a dodgy one, Shop? I've got four, and they all sit really well on me.

I also have no idea what's 'in' this Spring, not that I take much notice tbh. I just wear what I like. I rather fancy a longer denim skirt (as opposed to the micro-mini I usually wear) but it's not on, 'The List' so I'd have to get lucky in a charity shop!

maradesbois · 03/01/2015 22:26

Hello all,

Thanks for new thread Shop, loved the book Mapp & Lucia btw, didn't know there was a tv series but will check it out.

Also we are now mutual pin followers too. Welcome Smile.

Marsha noo, other people's dc in your special place! Hope the fizz is still flowing Grin.

Finally back in London, feels good. Just back from trip into town with dh and ds. We had dinner at a great Italian place that would make a good future mu or mini mu venue if anyone up for a more food-focused one sometime.

Also made a stop at Woolrich after reading an article in the Eurostar magazine about chic cold weather dressing. Marsha's Sorel boots featured as well as this parka. Would never have thought about a bright colour but tried it in store and thought it looked fab. Even dh was complimentary, no bibendum comments etc Grin. Also tried another shape, the Eskimo in navy which really liked too plus is discounted at Matches. Both of these interested me more than the classic Moncler coat I tried last week but would love some MNV opinions. Brief is basically a classic premium down coat/parka from specialist brand but no arm logos.

No particular new year resolutions here apart from to read books instead of fashion magazines, keep up the general health kick, exercise, clean eating etc. The weight loss wasn't hampered by Christmas hols this year due to a nasty stomach bug, every cloud...

justasecond · 03/01/2015 22:43

I like the navy woolrich Mara the red one is lovely too but I would get bored of a bright colour and it is not as versatile in terms of things you can wear with. The Moncler looks great too though..

justasecond · 03/01/2015 22:47

BTW does anyone know if the chloe bag I linked is a discontinued style? It is the one like a satchel with a top handle. I have not seen it in any of the new collections so far.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/01/2015 22:49

Like that red coat a lot.

Drywhiteplease · 03/01/2015 23:15

Good God I go out for a few hours and you're on page 3....Patsy, Meg, Dolly, Nancy Sinatra......2015 is going to be great on MNV !

Since I'm letting MNV dress me this year I'll be interested in the tuxedo/black blazers and will just buy the navy skirt Lib finds. Really don't need anything Shock

Dry January is not going well gin and slim doesn't count right? think I'll just do "sensible" January too many things coming up.

Drywhiteplease · 03/01/2015 23:24

I really like this shirt not exciting but very useful......tempted

Drywhiteplease · 03/01/2015 23:27

To wear under this dress for work......am looking for the pinafore/crisp white shirt look.

QueenCardigan · 04/01/2015 08:07

Morning all. Feeling ever so slightly hungover Grin

remus so glad you've joined us. Love those grey boots. Im a highest girl too.
mara my preference would be the navy.

I have no planned purchases but would like a grey blouse. I'm not planning on spending anything until March when I come to London.

The magazines I read this week all seem to lean towards the 70s (flares, culottes etc) so this mornings links will be the 70s trend...

QueenCardigan · 04/01/2015 08:09

this definitely has a 70s vibe about it. Do people really pay over a grand for silk to wear by the pool though?

QueenCardigan · 04/01/2015 08:11

I've got a blanket like this
