Have just seen a beige ( supposedly grey)fake fur coat that is not sexy but love it. It's cosy.

Am also partial to chunky knits and heritage fabrics. Anyone else?

Will not stretch to mum boots though!

I've got some fairly high heeled OTK boots. They keep my knees lovely and warm.

ggirl · 31/12/2014 18:00

God I've been lusting after a pair of trainers from gabor or rieker

madmomma · 31/12/2014 21:23

Oh leggings. Wonderful, kind baukjen leggings. I wish I could stop but I can't, I just can't.

Bin85 · 31/12/2014 21:28

Hotter Pixie boots
So comfy!!

PartTimePunk · 31/12/2014 22:24

Queenbrunhilda - Mrs Brown's clothes screamed Avoca to me - might be worth a Google; they've a sale on.

queenbrunhilda · 31/12/2014 22:51

Thanks for the tip-off Part, will investigate. Have got stuck in heritage-frump mode (never quite shook off 'Granny takes a trip').

Selks · 31/12/2014 23:30

I have a liking for clodhopping pastie-like shoes. All my shoes are fugly (to many people) but practical and damned comfy... DMs, Keens, Art company flat styles etc..

ElizabethHoover · 01/01/2015 08:53

Edith. They are red wing boots

grumblepuss · 01/01/2015 12:27

Technical wear is amazing!
I'm safely wrapped up in hi viz gore tex when I go out on site. The UK weather isn't going to get me!

I also love proper wicking gym kit.

Greengardenpixie · 01/01/2015 18:49

Selks...you and me both. I dont do neat shoes. All must be round at the toe and chunky!!!

Fishandjam · 01/01/2015 20:38

Ohhh yes, chunky shoes. DMs especially. Plus I'm developing arthritis in my big toe joint which makes heels just too damn painful.

Selks · 01/01/2015 21:59

Greengardenpixe and Fishandjam.....at last, two chunky shoe kindred spirits! I thought I was alone in this! Tell me your favourite shoe brands, particularly those that are round of toe. I love a wide toe box.

Fishandjam · 01/01/2015 22:06

If I could afford them, I'd get these

Red Or Dead do some good fugly shoes. Lotta From Stockholm or Swedish Hasbeens for retro clogs (which apparently are going to be A Thing for 2015). Clarks Originals also score.

hollyisalovelyname · 01/01/2015 22:11

PartTimePunk- which Mrs.Brown ? As in Mrs. Brown's boys ? The link didn't work for me.
My mum thinks Mrs. Brown us avery good ACTRESS !!!!
My guilty (sartorial ) secret are my Sketcher's Chugga.
So comfy I thought f**k it and wore them to my local posh shopping centre the other day.
Fortunately I didn't meet anybody I knew.
Usually I'm well dressed Grin

Fishandjam · 01/01/2015 22:14

Saucony and New Balance also do some nice general purpose trainers which are a bit more than functional - like these

duchesse · 01/01/2015 22:14

Fitflops. Will not wear anything else.

SwedishEdith · 01/01/2015 22:19

Ah, Red Wing boots. Thanks. Still too expensive, unfortunately. Love clumpy shoes and always need to check for a rubber sole now as well.

dalekanium · 01/01/2015 22:24

Hahah

Work boots

I get them free from....er....work

:)

PartTimePunk · 01/01/2015 22:46

Holly - it was the mum in the Paddington film; so altogether more groomed and with more desirable outfits than the other Mrs Brown!

Longsufferingmum2 · 02/01/2015 03:21

Laska42 · 02/01/2015 08:30

Valsoldknickers · 02/01/2015 08:42

I still can't get away from waterfall cardigans. The epitome of frump according to some mnetters!

ElizabethHoover · 02/01/2015 08:50

Fishandjam · 02/01/2015 09:03
