A very happy Saturday all....it's v frosty out there, I've just been to walk on the grass and it was satisfyingly crunchy underfoot.

That's fashion fate Shop
QueenC hope you're ok, stay with us! we'll cheer you up . X

liberty think it has something to do with blood! some people are tastier than others. When on holiday someone told me they hate garlic so I had tzatziki every day love the stuff and I have to say they left me alone so did DH because I stank Xmas Grin.
When we were on honey moon we went mountain biking on a v swampy island. Desperately needed the loo. I DO NOT pee OUTDOORS normally. Well the little bastards saw my juicy white bum from miles away and had a feast Xmas Sad..... Felt decidedly unsexy after that and positively psychotic towards all the locals who kept saying "ooooh someone must taste good " piss off you annoying people, I wish my new DH was the nibbler!!!!

Jellies and chocolate house in the fridge chilling along with copious amounts of prosecco, conitraeu and chambord. Just walnut tart to make now.

shopafrolic · 13/12/2014 12:14

shopafrolic · 13/12/2014 13:27

QUeenC what do you do with your Chambord (and don't say drink it)? Do you add it to Prosecco? I've bought some but never had it before.....

Drywhiteplease · 13/12/2014 13:37

OneLittleLady · 13/12/2014 13:43

mix it with fizz or martini shop chambord is delicious

QueenCardigan · 13/12/2014 14:35

I'm making ruby duchess- prosecco, chambord and pomegranate juice. Also poinsettias and French martini. If you look at my Christmas pin board the recipes are on there.

dry walnut tart is in a Mary berry gbbo book. I'll email you the recipe tomorrow. Smells delicious so hopefully tastes good too.

I have Cadbury purple nails and sparkly sequin jumper on. Christmas tree has also been put up today and radio times has arrived so feeling vaguely festive. Just got to put the chocolate house together now.

shopafrolic · 13/12/2014 14:51

QueenC i just bought my Radio Times today (never buy it apart from at Christmas) - it's a sign that the fun can begin. Loving the sound of all your food and drink - I really need to up my game entertaining wise. We have people for dinner on Christmas Eve - any ideas for vegetarians (who eat fish but no salmon) very welcome....
Went out to do a few jobs this morning while DS was at a party (DH is shooting again) - you can already feel the stress levels rising in the shops - such a shame - I really feel for retail staff at this time of year.

shopafrolic · 13/12/2014 16:08

Liberty you're like my leather trouser Christmas fairy Xmas Smile

Drywhiteplease · 13/12/2014 16:54

Sounds great Dry Thanks

Fedupnagging · 13/12/2014 17:01

Queen I definitely fancy coming to yours for dinner tonight. Smile Am heading over to pinterest for the walnut tart recipe too.

Am sitting here in my pj's - have been out eating and drinking for the last 4 nights and am exhausted. No idea how you do it Novice. Not sure I can even face a glass of fizz today.

Meant to link this fabulous primer earlier. I bought it on a whim in selfridges and have to say am really pleased with it.

Also picked up a bottle of passoa and a bottle of pomegranate and raspberry liqueur. Both taste delicious in prosecco so will serve that on Boxing Day when we have about 25 people descending on us.

What is everyone doing tonight?

Drywhiteplease · 13/12/2014 17:06

Out tonight. Wearing my jaeger leather pencil skirt ( shortened to knee length, much better) opaques, suede stiletto shoe boots and a top , not sure which. May need advice later.

Great new thread Dry and happy golden jubilee MNV.

Whole sea bass stuffed with fennel and olives Shop - it looks very impressive but only takes 20 mins in the oven.

Any good ideas for DH presents? I've done tickets for various things for the last few but am a bit stumped this year.

shopafrolic · 13/12/2014 17:38

Stokey how old and what does he like?

Fedupnagging · 13/12/2014 18:01

Stokey I took dh to a spa for his birthday recently where we had massages and pedicures - he loved it. I did think he might be the only male there but actually there were more couples than groups of just women.

Drywhiteplease · 13/12/2014 19:26

Right, tonight I'm wearing unable tolink from pin, don't know why

Dorothy P teal satin sleeveless op with embellished neckline tucked into:
Jaeger black leather pencil skirt
With stilletto suede shoe boots
Opaques
And Gucci Disco hobo
Massimo Dutti camel coat
Big scarf
Santa hat

Feel a bit mumsy. I'm not sure whether leather skirts look better dressed down, think it looks ok.

Drywhiteplease · 13/12/2014 19:27

stokey DH is v hard to buy for. Normally a shirt/jumper combo that he wears the whole of the following year until I'm sick of it Xmas Grin
This year lots of bits.

LinusDKD · 13/12/2014 19:39

dry your outfit sounds stunning! Have fun!

stokey I bought DH a wireless speaker so he can play his music in his study (Iphone connected via Bluetooth)

It is compact and there are no wires so doesn't add to the clutter. Wink

shopafrolic · 13/12/2014 19:42

Stokey this year I've done the jumper, shirt combo and am looking at some artwork for him. In previous years (and because I used to work for Red Letter Days) I've done lots of driving experiences, wine tasting courses etc.
Is he a Whisky drinker? There are some amazing Japanese whiskies about right now. Glasses for his drink of choice. Voucher for a wet shave and massage. Clay pigeon shooting lesson. Cinema vouchers.
We've been on the elderflower and Prosecco - a bit pissed already
Dry I love that top on you, outfit sounds good.
QueenC have a fun night
Linus what did you wear in the end last night?
So excited about my leather trousers. Liberty when are you coming to share the glory?

LinusDKD · 13/12/2014 19:42

this article was really helpful in deciding which one I went for in the end (The Geneva model S)

OneLittleLady · 13/12/2014 19:44

Outfit sounds brill Dry

Tis all rock n roll in the one house tonight with text books, e journals and christmas coffee and tea. Might even have a jaffa cake to really push the boat out Xmas Grin

shopafrolic · 13/12/2014 19:51

I thought you meant which outfit you chose Linus I was v disappointed when I clicked on the link!

LinusDKD · 13/12/2014 19:55

Sorry shop!

I didn't need an outfit in the end Wink Sad but DH saw a picture of me in my favourite outfit and has requested I wear it when we go out to dinner with friends during the Christmas holidays.

I have to say, I love my Manolos. I should wear them more often but
I don't go out that much. But seriously, I am sure I will buy them in another colour when I get the chance.
