Evening ladies, I think I agree I should just get my colours and then probably a style day too later on. I think it's the colours that really confuses me, I'm definitely someone who hides in black if given the opportunity. blair do you think that even a frumpy one would give the same advise a a trendier one then? I'm in south bucks but happy to travel anywhere to london, Berkshire, Herts, essex can anyone recommend anyone?

I am only just relaxing today, it is DS2's birthday so been pretty full on. We avoid a big party because we are away but I'm not sure the mini party, involving a visit to the hideous amusement arcade, followed by games in the dark on the beach (great) then a houseful of sugar crazed and sand blasted DC's (8, from 4-10yrs) is such a good offset . DS2 had a great day though, he especially loved the piñata I got as a surprise . Lots of vacuuming to do!

Shop I'd just like to echo the others' comments on colours, don't be too quick to write off your old stuff as mistakes, it really did look fantastic. I also think that feeling that you are getting it right makes you look good, how you carry yourself etc. There will obviously be certain styles/colours etc that each of us couldn't pull off but I never saw you in anything like that.

Karbea yes I think all the consultants would/should give the same advice, definitely on colours anyway. Once you have the style day they do email you stuff about trends but I don't think they actually try to give you fashion advice. The consultant you linked looks nice (younger than mine, for a start!).

Those Manolos are gorgeous... your DH has great taste! It's definitely harder to make decisions when you haven't bought anything for a while, I find.

I really want to keep them as he always buys me amazing things and I end up taking them back, I feel so ungrateful most of them time. Hopefully they'll have them half a size smaller.

marsha they are a bargain! I was ready to buy but the smallest they have is a 3.5 and I'm definitely a 3 or smaller sometimes.

I'm on the brink of ordering my wedding shoes, from Shoes of Prey. Gold leather, pointy court shoe, 2.5 inch stiletto heel, Mary Jane strap. I went to Clarks today and got my feet measured (one of the reasons I want bespoke shoes is that my feet are different sizes and very wide, and I hardly ever find any shoes comfy). So, my right foot is a UK4.5, and my left foot is a UK5.5. And both are a G width - apparently D is normal for women's shoes . Now I just need to translate that into EU sizes and US width.

I'm also going to get a personalised message put inside with our names and the date - costs £40 but I can't resist for the photos :)

I haven't heard of Shoe of Prey before but love the idea of them. I also had my shoes made for me for my wedding. Absolutely comfortable and could have danced in them all night. hope yours are the same Blair.

Lib I sent you the links via pin in response to your post asking how to accessorise the lovely dress. I looked at your boards and couldn't find accessories so I looked at my own board. i couldn't explain as my wifi then went down and have been out all day! Anyway the upshot was that I would dress it with pretty silvers (eg the Magnolia watch, which I am wearing today). I have a Tiffany elsa perreti heart bracelet which is one of the hardest working pieces I have. I think that would go well too. and Accessorize do dainty flowery long silver necklaces which I would love to wear but think would look ace on you.
