Hello Queenie! yes I am with Lib. They look nice on the model but no way i would get them. I am too short at just under 5'2, and while I am a size 6 and sound small I have the arse to match my stature so that style wouldn't flatter me at all. If you're the opposite to what I just described then will be good!Grin

QueenCardigan · 29/12/2014 15:44

Hello queenie. I agree with the others re body shape. I personally think trousers are really hard to buy online unless you know the brand really well.

marsha I agree re growth spurts and also sometimes they get cramp which can be eased usually by massaging the leg a bit.

Back from bluestone now. It was lovely and relaxing but feeling stressed looking at my tip of a house. Just too many new toys everywhere.

bettykt · 29/12/2014 15:56

Hello,

Just got back from seeing Paddington. I loved it. Queenie I'm with the other ladies on those trousers, they look good on the model and if you're a similar height and size go for it.

Sleep glad your ds seems better.

Novice sorry to hear you're still under the weather, I'm feeling much better, phew

Liberty I forgot to comment on your Cos haul, some lovely bits you got there would be interested to hear how they fit. Loved the Jaegar jumper too, very stylish

Stokey Karbea I too have Pettys in tan suede, for me they come up small but I have wide feet, they are very versatile and I wear them a lot.

bettykt · 29/12/2014 15:58

Fedup thinking of you today Flowers

shopafrolic · 29/12/2014 15:58

Ooo Queenie - waves to newbie and welcome - must not get name confusion. What the others said about body shape. You'd need a fitted top half. And thanks, your post has reminded me I need to EBAy the spare Joseph leather leggings.
Went to Milton Keynes shopping today - it was hell on earth. Swapped a jumper for DH, had lunch, tried on the faux 5050s in Dune and then came home. Dune boots are too short for me, and too baggy. They cut at an odd point on my knee rather than above it, and gaped at the back at the top. Will have to try the real thing. DH is Hmm
Matches box has arrived....

QueenCardigan · 29/12/2014 16:06

Ooh live opening shop....?

Meant to say marsha that I don't find the heat tech particularly long in the body but they don't ride up too much so at least you don't get that cold patch above the top of your jeans.

Karbea · 29/12/2014 16:25

Have come early from work, I still feel poo.

queen I think you'd need to have very slim hips to carry off the trousers without them making you look very wide.

I've no idea what to do re:boots, I'm hoping to hit selfridges on Friday so I'll retry the Pistols and maybe see what else is about.

MarshaBrady · 29/12/2014 17:01

Mara that sounds fabulous. Love your outfit, sounds incredible.

And yes thanks to you and QueenC I agree on growth spurts. I spent an hour rubbing his leg, waiting for the calpol to kick in. Poor thing. Hope it doesn't happen tonight. for me too.

Cool re the uniqlo nothing worse than rolled up tops and cold spots.

Queenie they could be good, and yes better if you are tall.

Liberty need to go back and look at your Cos stuff!

Fedup thinking of you today Thanks

Karbea hope you feel better soon.

Sorel 7.5 are fab, had to change for running kit, but great to wear here, if anyone is keen there are some cheaper on Amazon etc

shopafrolic · 29/12/2014 17:31

Waves to Marsha
Karbea there are lots of good ankle boots on the Atterley Road sale website.

MarshaBrady · 29/12/2014 17:35

Shop have you done a try on?

shopafrolic · 29/12/2014 17:39

Too cold to face it Marsha and the light has gone - want to try in daylight. Will try in the morning when the ILs have gone.
But am seriously tempted by 5050s - so it all might have to go back...... Xmas Hmm

MarshaBrady · 29/12/2014 17:45

I think it could be the way to go. The Equipment shirt is lovely, but the other one is plaid isn't it? Have you got some plaid shirts?

You could always go with the - what is the newest shape / colour / piece in the wardrobe test that isn't similar to something you already have.

Drywhiteplease · 29/12/2014 17:47

Karbea I misread that as "I need a poo" was rather Shock at tmi!!!! Hope you feel better.

Spent £270 in the supermarket today and that did not include booze Xmas Shock .... How did it happen? Have made 2 freeze able puddings, marinated my meat and done lots of prep so it will be easy on the days I hate cooking when I have guests, prefer chatting Grin

Come on Shop let us know!

Mara your NYE sounds so wonderful! great that you are Wearing that beautiful dress again, has been a great buy.

MarshaBrady · 29/12/2014 17:48

lol I nearly did too Grin

MarshaBrady · 29/12/2014 17:51

Sleep how's the oil mark on the pistol? I had such sympathy for the situation. Twice I've done that, I can say that dumping a bag of flour on top does nowt.

Does anyone have acne jeans? How's the sizing if so

BrandyAlexander · 29/12/2014 17:56

blimey dry you really are a goddess! Grin

Karbea · 29/12/2014 18:19

marsha I had pair do acne jeans, I somehow seem to have lost them, think I left them in a hotel room somewhere. they are true to size, I really like them, so will replace at some point.

QueenQueenie · 29/12/2014 18:21

Thanks for the feedback. Have hit purchase... will let you know whether they are the leather trousers of my dreams / make me resemble the back half of a pantomime horse...

LinusDKD · 29/12/2014 18:53

Evening!

Phew, home at last. This Christmas holiday was a stressful time for many reasons so I want to move on from it asap.

But the good news is DD is on the mend and only needs one more day of AB's.

lib I am going to send you a pm now!

Will try and catch up at some point, promise.

shopafrolic · 29/12/2014 19:26

So I opened the box. The IM plaid looks too Autumn toned on first look. Equipment looks good. Need to try tomorrow.
I had a GAP plaid red shirt which I loved but it was faulty so I sent it back. And my IM plaid is now the wrong colours so I haven't worn. But loved the style a lot.
The Equipment shirt would be for evenings out. My cream silk blouse is over worn so I could do with another choice. We'll see. Even if I send them back it won't cover the cost of 5050s Hmm Will need Voguette help to decide.

shopafrolic · 29/12/2014 19:27

Linus hope you're ok x

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 29/12/2014 20:28

Hello all! Hope the ill ones/DHs/DCs are improving. One glad you're feeling better.

I'm finally back home, after 2 days at my mum's house with siblings and partners and another full Christmas dinner yesterday Xmas Smile We usually stay away until the 1st Jan so it's really nice to have some time to chill at home before NYE.

Dry We also spent £270 today but it was mostly alcohol Grin (and some pizzas and snacks). We are going to a NYE house party and they've hired a mixologist for the night, so we're all providing the ingredients. Only about 12 of us but should be really fun. What's everyone else doing?

I haven't done any sales shopping or even browsing, I'm trying to be good as I'm doing the HoC style day next Saturday.

Ok that's my me me me post over and done with.

shopafrolic · 29/12/2014 20:42

Style day Blair? Any guesses what your diagnosis will be?

Stokey · 29/12/2014 20:51

Marsha Dd1 had woken up with leg pains a couple of times recently. I have some relaxant gel from Elemis that is suitable for children that I rub on and also get her a hot water bottle. I'm not sure if it's cramp or growing pains.

Exciting news about the style day Blair

Mara your NYE sounds ideal. We have at least 5 children here of whom mine are the eldest at 5 and 2.8, and the youngest is 2 months. Don't think anyone will risk nice clothes!

Karbea · 29/12/2014 20:54

blair we are staying in just the two of us (and animals), hopefully dh will cook.
I'm seriously thinking of having a hoc session, which is why I think I'm being so indecisive about buying anything, but I'm desperate to break my shopping fast.
I'm really excited to hear how your session goes.

My beautician has text me back and is going to sort out a date with the botox Dr.
