Wikihow says use Baking Soda on oil stains on suede........
Karbea have you missed your Pistols? If not, don't repeat buy.

shopafrolic · 28/12/2014 20:44

Apparently you can also sand down nubuck with a pumice stone? Who knew?!

Karbea · 28/12/2014 20:50

shopafrolic I've definitely missed a smart, lowish heeled boot, which is why I've ended up in my uggs a lot - which has just made me feel, scruffy!
I'd really like create myself a little capsule wardrobe that I can just keep adding to.
I'm thinking, black boots, black jeans (would love leather (or faux) but can't see any I really like that aren't £1k+!), white/cream/black blouse, black blazer... I'm slightly worried I'd freeze my arse off in this at the mo tho. Any idea how to winterise it?
I feel like I need a little uniform to give my style a little confidence boost... Anyone have an inspired suggestions?

Awks · 28/12/2014 21:02

I am living in heat tech long sleeved t under everything at the mo too, fantastic.

Karbea I have Hemsley Hemsley, brilliant book, I love their approach to food/eating well.

Cranagh · 28/12/2014 23:56

Hi back ladies :)

Lovely sweater, Liberty, please report back.

Dh checks the credit card bill weekly online, Sleep. Always fun!! Hope ds gets better soon.
Argh, Stokey, I"d stick to vodka for a while.
Shop ... we should meet in Westfield and do a mass try on of otk boots. The Dune ones were a little short on me. Turquoise had 5050s and said they did slip down but this was after a couple of years.

Liberty, lovely top.

Cranagh · 28/12/2014 23:57

I hate my phone. Can only see my mistakes after I post!

QueenCardigan · 29/12/2014 07:46

Another heat tech fan here. I need to get another. The scoop neck are fab for putting under anything.

sleepwhenidie · 29/12/2014 09:17

You lot would have laughed at me last night, I tried out the very red new Rimmel lipstick I bought for nye Morticia outfit in the bathroom. It looked crazy, but wouldn't bloody come off (bearing in mind I am a sheer lipstick person). Micellaire water turned it purple! Eventually managed to shift it with Vaseline but it was a panic...so if any of you are looking for a long stay lippie, this is it Grin

libertychick · 29/12/2014 09:21

Eek Sleep I'll be staying well away from that!!!

BrandyAlexander · 29/12/2014 09:51

blimey sleep! that reminds me of that lipstick you paint on and then put the gloss over. very drying. whats that one called again? how is ds?

sleepwhenidie · 29/12/2014 09:56

There is a topcoat with it Novice, not that I even got that far ShockGrin. DS1 slept all night and is loads better this morning thank you, hurrah ! How about you?

BrandyAlexander · 29/12/2014 10:00

I am better but still not well. I did get up to make the dcs breakfast but have slinked back to bed. Thanks for asking.

The lipstick I was thinking of was lipfinity by max factor - you have to use oil based make up remover to shift it!

BrandyAlexander · 29/12/2014 10:01

Sorry meant to say that's v good about ds. are they back at school next week?

MarshaBrady · 29/12/2014 10:08

Ds was awake crying in the night as his leg hurt. It happens every so often, does anyone else's dc randomly get this?

Novice hope you feel better soon.

Sleep sounds v strong!

Shop those Matches buys are lovely.

I could get some heat tech, esp if they are long enough to tuck in.

Sorel boots here today, not quite in time for Berlin ;

maradesbois · 29/12/2014 11:37

Hello Voguettes,

Commiserations to all of you fellow sufferers of the Christmas lurgy, novice, shop and various dh/dc iirc. I have been feeling rotten since boxing night, have existed solely on sips of lemonade for 48hrs but finally starting to feel a bit better.

We are in the mountains & going to the coast tomorrow to start the NY celebrations. Big party for the adults at friends' house and separate dc party organised including sleepover. An excellent idea! Going to wear my plum Zarita with choo patent heels. Will be nice to get dressed up for a change.

Cranagh great to hear from you. Did you get the 5050s?

Stokey all wines need some sulphites as I think sleep already said but organic/biodynamic producers keep it to a minimum. We went on a champagne tour where a producer explained that people think sulphite free is desirable but in reality the wine would be completely unpalatable.

Marsha the pain in legs thing could be growing pains. It used to happen to some dc I babysat for when I was a teenager. At first the parents thought they were playing up re bedtime but turned out that it was due to growth spurts.

maradesbois · 29/12/2014 11:40

Btw I did chuckle at Dry's advice re potential wine allergy; 'have you tried gin?' Grin

OneLittleLady · 29/12/2014 11:59

Hello all

Hope those feeling ill are better soon, still feeling a bit under the weather myself but a lot better than i was last week

QueenQueenie · 29/12/2014 13:42

Hello stylish ones.

Thoughts on these trousers please.... Menopausal madness or rather nice? Would wear with a lightweight knit I think...

TIA.

here

libertychick · 29/12/2014 14:23

Totally depends on your body shape Queenie. I think they could look good on a boyish straight up and down type figure. I think there is a camel toe risk if they cling on hips or thighs. Welcome BTW Smile
