Morning! Bad start to the day with trains cancellation. However had to gush about my outfit.... Olive green lk Bennett Ariella dress, maxmara cashmere coat, Chloe Paraty bag and RB shoe boots. BlissSmile

Linus, what are pixie pants?

Yesterday I saw a girl at work wearing 7/8th pants with loafers and a beautiful top. Instant crush. She looked so fab I had to stop staring. I am too short for that look but loved seeing how wonderfully well it looks put together.

bettykt · 11/11/2014 09:38

Morning, Blair I like the Mango ones best especially with the blue dress, I also like the New Look ones and would consider buying them myself but then I have a black dress!

Fedup I think you should give the jacket a try and see how you feel about it, like Blair recommended dressing it up with heels and a dress on a night out or could try with skinnies and heeled boots

Great outfit Novice hope your train comes soon

Linus I like the sound of your outfit too

QueenC will you wear the skirt at the MU, it's lovely btw

Talking of MU, I'll need to take a train and a tube in, so no taxi to the door for me, sob sob so the question I'm posing - tights or no tights? I'll probably wear black Dvf Bentley dress, heels and coat, tights would ruin the look completely I think, plus I hate wearing tights, but will I look a fool/be freezing not wearing tights on a presumably cold evening? What do you think Voguettes? Will you be wearing tights if you're wearing a skirt/dress?

LinusDKD · 11/11/2014 09:52

Yay, the Paige Palomas have arrived and are lovely.

And they fit! When I first saw the waist I thought I'd never make them fit but they stretch a lot! A good length on me as well, I don't think I need to have them shortened.

I think pleather is the right thing to buy now as it allows me to get used to the look of it and maybe then I can buy a leather pair eventually.

Oh and the DC have been rubbing my thighs and DS even rubbed his cheek against the pleather, I would have freaked out if it was real leather. Wink

Thank you so much sleep! Please pm me your bank details and how much I owe you.

shopafrolic · 11/11/2014 09:52

I'll be wearing tights Betty - training it too. Oh and everyone who offered me a bed for the night, thank you but I'm going to head home x

I've just ordered these pretty beauties with a further 20%. I'm hoping they'll work with boyfriend jeans as I can't afford to keep if not!

shopafrolic · 11/11/2014 09:53

Phew! That's great news Linus :)

LinusDKD · 11/11/2014 10:01

Love this

Lots of lovely Helmut Lang on The Outnet!

bettykt · 11/11/2014 10:02

Thanks for that Shop those shoes are lovely

Linus glad you're happy with the leggings will you wear them casually, dressed up or both? Just googled them and they look fab.

QueenCardigan · 11/11/2014 10:19

betty could you put tights on for your journey and the take them off and stuff them in your bag? If the skirt is ok I may save it for anniversary weekend but if I did wear it I'll be in tights. If I'm in trousers I'll have pop sox Blush

Just off out, will check earring links later.

santamarianovella · 11/11/2014 10:26

That's great linus

shop those are seriously hot shoes!

betty tricky, tights are a much safer choice,

Gaps in my wardrobe:
Leather skirt, but I can't find the right one,
Blazer,

I'm here in London for the next couple of days, heading to selfridges shortly, then lunch with a friend, Smile feels so good to be back.

shopafrolic · 11/11/2014 10:29

Have you seen Grazia's new online store ?

bettykt · 11/11/2014 10:40

Queenc that's a fab idea, thank you. Thanks Hope the skirt is perfect for you.

Santa enjoy London, great weather too

LinusDKD · 11/11/2014 11:03

How about this leather Helmut Lang skirt santa?

novice J Crew pixie pants are basically a cross between a legging and normal trousers. Very flattering as they are made of a very thick stretch fabric.

They do them in different versions (leather panels or zip pockets) but mine are the classic ones with a zip at the back.

maradesbois · 11/11/2014 11:55

Aaargh, just lost a long post, crap wifi at gym. To surmise:

Blair didn't expect to see Pat Butcher when I opened Vogue this morning! Think ts or mango earrings go best with the outfits you described. Green are lovely but possibly too Christmas tree-like with red dress. Grin

QueenC lovely skirt, great colour. Hope it works for you.

Betty I am central so can take can but still don't think can do bare legs in Dec.

Dry can't open your links due to this wifi, will look later but you've made me think a good down jacket is missing from my wardrobe too.

Santa have a fabulous time.

Linus glad the leggings are keepers and lol at your ds, they do love different textures.

Marsha love your attention to detail about the accent!

Have an urge to buy a sparkly party dress, not me at all so sitting on hands but I do love Christmas so and can go dangerously off-kilter at this time of year.

maradesbois · 11/11/2014 11:55

Cab

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/11/2014 12:10

Argh Matches just sent me a £100 off £300 code. Going to have to look now!

That's interesting re Grazia shop after the chat on here the other day about certain retailers getting the pick of the best stock. Glad you went for the shoes!

betty I am having the same dilemma, has anyone tried the M&S toeless tights that you can wear with open shoes?

Sounds great santa, hope you have a lovely day.

Thanks re earrings feedback, I am still looking but I agree that the next and F21 ones are the nicest.

Stokey · 11/11/2014 12:10

Oh I am sad I'm missing the MU again, all your outfits sounds great.

Gaps in my wardrobe:
Parka - I think I want a navy one
New coat - but this may get sacrificed in favour of the parka
Midi skirt
jumpers - I think I "need" one cropped to wear with midi skirt and pencil skirts and one chunky to wear with skinnies. Maybe on purple or green to rock winter colours.
Boots - biker or ankle or long, definitely black.

Really I need to prioritise.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/11/2014 12:11

And the topshop ones!

Mominatrix · 11/11/2014 12:14

shop :lots of grey cashmere beanies

Mominatrix · 11/11/2014 12:18

love this cocktail dress - very Black Swanish

Mominatrix · 11/11/2014 12:22

going out top?

Mominatrix · 11/11/2014 12:24

I'd wear this out to lunch

Mominatrix · 11/11/2014 12:28

Can you tell I'm just during the Outnet?

drinks dress

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/11/2014 12:45

Dry love the bag and the Whistles cuff. Just saw this cuff as well and thought it was really nice.

Sleepwhenidie · 11/11/2014 14:45

Loving the links Mom Smile- can I just add this? It's gorgeous in RL, more sparkly than it looks here - I admired it when if first came into Selfridges, but I think you need to be petite to pull it off. Novice I think it would look stunning on you.

Sleepwhenidie · 11/11/2014 14:49

Oh Linus - just saw your post - so pleased you like the paige pleather! I am trying to find out IBAN, will PM asap Smile
