Santa intriguing!

Sleep we went to l'autre pied just off Marylebone High St and it was lovely, was a couple of years ago though. Also went to a really good Italian more recently, can't remember the name or street though so not much use!

QueenCardigan · 13/11/2014 20:39

Exciting santa.
dry can you not get a friend to look after dd so that you can come to London?
I was never a huge fan of donuts although dd loves them.

maradesbois · 13/11/2014 20:42

Dry am not really a makeup person but clicked on your Lisa E link this morning and love her smokey eye, have the bobbi b gold cream sparkly shadow already so may try and recreate it for the party season.

Lib don't feel you have to get really dressed up for mu. Venue doesn't look that fancy, more of anything goes kind of place. Am going to take gold clutch and wear heels as a concession to evening but apart from that no idea.

Drywhiteplease · 13/11/2014 21:30

linus Grin I meant "harems"!!!!!Grin
Mara watch out! her videos are addictive.....I've spent hours watching them. I love Lisa.
Queen not possible because of Sunday early morning sport commitments Sad.

Watching "The Divine Bette Middler", I actually love Bette also love Barry, but wouldn't admit that in public . "The wind beneath my wings" is so cheesy it gets me every time.

Anyone else like to admit to embarrassing guilty pleasures?

LinusDKD · 13/11/2014 21:34

dry pm

QueenCardigan · 13/11/2014 21:50

dry I suppose missing sport is out of the question....?
linus have you just pm'd dry your guilty pleasure and not 'fessing up to the rest of us....Grin

LinusDKD · 13/11/2014 21:55

Lol queenc!

No, You can all know my guilty pleasure...... ABBA!

Well, that's one of them anyway Wink

Drywhiteplease · 13/11/2014 22:22

Here we go, they're playing it.....I'm off

libertychick · 13/11/2014 23:16

Had a lovely evening. On way home much later than planned. Thanks all for the lovely comments about the Ted Baker dress. Will do another try on tomorrow.

Wind beneath my wings gets me too dry! There was a great thread on here about things that make you cry. My silly one is the 'snail and the whale' story. Gives me a lump in the throat! And I ADORE Abba and Kylie!

Fedupnagging · 14/11/2014 07:38

This book makes me sob like a baby. In fact, I defy any parent to read this without crying!

It's dress down day today for Children in Need (hope the 6th form have made cakes) so am wearing maison scotch jeans, Zara checked shirt and these boots

Have a good day everyone.

Sleepwhenidie · 14/11/2014 07:53

Just dropping in to nominate 'Slipping Through My Fingers' by Abba as sob fest material!

DH and I went to see Interstellar last night, hated it! Good job I had Matthew M to gaze at Smile

Lib welcome back, how was your trip?

shopafrolic · 14/11/2014 08:13

QueenC seen the pics on the news this morning of hideous weather. Are you ok where you are?
Morning all. Off out for cocktails with the girls tonight - rubbish wet weather may stop me from wearing any of my planned outfits :(

shopafrolic · 14/11/2014 08:21

Oh no Sleep Interstellar was on my list to see - why so bad?

QueenCardigan · 14/11/2014 09:31

What bad weather shop? It was very windy here yesterday though. Seems sunny this morning though.

Abba aren't a guilty pleasure surely? Doesn't everyone love them?

Puff the magic dragon makes me cry every time.

OneLittleLady · 14/11/2014 09:50

QueenC I had to sing Puff the Magic Dragon when I was younger for a concert and I was crying through the last part of it Sad

The weather is grim here, it's really dark, wet and windy and I have to go out as I've got a hospital appointment. I wish I could stay in with the stuff I've borrowed from uni and do some composition!

Stokey · 14/11/2014 09:58

Just got drenched on the school run, new parka (sourced at JL yesterday) not very waterproof annoyingly.

The book that always gets me is Dogger. I love the Velveteen Rabbit too but Dd is not so keen.

libertychick · 14/11/2014 10:00

Trip home was really good thanks sleep. DD had a ball with her cousins. Lots of nice meals, walks on the beach and sitting in front of the fire drinking hot whiskey with my Dad! Bliss.

Sounds good Lib Smile

Shop - I think DH may be in the minority wrt Interstallar, so don't let us put you off!

MarshaBrady · 14/11/2014 10:18

Sleep why did you loathe it? I'm interested!

I have ordered some MiH bodycon skinnies from the outnet, for £50ish. Worth a punt for that price I guess.

shopafrolic · 14/11/2014 11:53

I'm interested too Sleep more info needed :)
Santa thank you thank you thank you Flowers Flowers Flowers the sweater has arrived and is lovely. Will try a little later....... As an aside - what perfume do you wear as is smells AMAZING.

OneLittleLady · 14/11/2014 12:15

ugh,it is so miserable todqy.town is freezing and the pavements are so slippy so im having to be very slow and careful so everythings taking me 3x longer to do.must go and fing a new rucksack today my current one has a split on one strap.

BrandyAlexander · 14/11/2014 12:34

hello! hope everyone is doing well! I have snuck out of office and am at the hairdressers!Smile it's been a busy few days but thankfully today more calm. I have been busy buying the dcs Xmas presents and haven't bought anything for myself recently...I think I feel wellWink

Drywhiteplease · 14/11/2014 15:19

Marsha how more body con are "body con" skinnies? Confused Grin
Fedup I have some black wedge lace up boots just like those, need to get them out.
Sleep "Slipping through my fingers" is up there for me too, EVERY TIME, DD sings it to get me going......blub tastic [sob]

Years ago, when we were students, my DSis put together a "sons for when you feel shit" compilation Grin mostly The Smiths. And Elvis Costtelloe. I couldn't stand it pop girl through and through, happy music for me think Wham! needed anti depressants after listening to that!

"imagine" is a goid heart string song. "Mandy" or "I made it through the rain" by Barry M.....cheese tastic.

I agree about the Velveteen Rabbit. Loads of kids books reduce me to a quivering wreck. I got teary at work when reading "The Guard Dog" by Dick King Smith, a classic!

Fashion wise, I picked up the leather cuff from Whistles......it's fab, love it.

LinusDKD · 14/11/2014 15:20

At last! Two parcels are winging their way to the UK! As usual, everything is washed but not ironed. Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/11/2014 16:04

Linus you are a star :)

So glad it's Friday. The m25 pothole situation ruined my morning today, the traffic meant I got to work at 9.30! Have guests coming tonight - my littlest sister and her boyfriend, and my brother tomorrow. The occasion is my other sister's boyfriend's 30th tomorrow night - going to wear red Carven dress and my newly resoled Aquazzuras, assuming the weather stays dry.

novice you've reminded me I need to start my christmas shopping! I've made a list of ideas, that counts right?!
