Shame about the bag Dry, it looked so,good on the website. I've seen a few really nice animal print clutches recently but can't remember where however, Dune definitely had a couple -this clutch is nice and looks better irl.

Linus Essie polish lasts for ages - with a base and top coat I've worn it for about a week which is nearly forever for me. I have been known to smudge/chip nail polish before I've left the salon.

Marsha, sounds depressing - but I think those programmes are scripted to a certain extent so don't represent real life. (Might be wrong though which really would be awful).

I'm rather miffed.......it's a very long story, but I am now free on MU night, but have to stay in to look after DD. DH aka the Caveman, not at all hipster with his beard said "I think I owe you" YES YOU DO "they're DRESSING UP!" ......I will be at the next MU whatever!!!!!

So, am planning a virtual MU with fizz chez moi......I'll be keeping the board alive, maybe some lurkers can join me ESP ST journo

Marsha, yes I did buy the boots. not sure if they are the Kate Middleton ones, but Olivia Palermo seems to own them in every colour. I wated them after pondering the whole what to do about short skirts in the winter problem (yes, first world issues!), then a saw a photo of Padma Lakshmi wearing these boots with a mini in a winter white, and it was lust at first sight.

dry - how bizarre that the clutch was sent with a white zip...it looked black in the link! Very sad you won't make it. I have wheaseled my way out of attending Lord of the Flies and can most likely come. Next time, definitely. In terms of starter - what about grilling the prawns butterflied, then brushing with an Asian Pesto to serve (whizz up coriander, ginger, lemongrass, lime zest, basil, garlic, red chilli, lime juice, olive oil)?

I found a parka I liked yesterday in John Lewis but didn't buy and now can't find it in a 10, annoying.

Dry - re Thai curry paste. It could be like it, but because the emphasis is on the herby stuff and not the ginger/lemongrass - the consistency is like pesto. I use it quite a bit, and have done grilled giant prawns with it. You've got me thinking about adding coconut milk instead of olive oil, and then topping with toasted lives of coconut. Think that would be nice.

Bugger the weather - I was going to wear the OTK suede boots today, but as it is very mucky out (just got back from a dog walk with both of us covered in mud), looks like I'll have to postpone using them.Wearing pale mink crepe mini with side slits, camel roll neck, and ancient (10 years old) brown miu miu boots (think they are a to-the-knee land boot style).
