I have just managed to get out of pj's and into gym kit...was hoping a pair of leggings which are due to arrive today would come so I could wear them but I think I'm going to have to just get on with it. I usually wear capris but want something warmer!

QueenCardigan · 12/11/2014 11:38

I've just done my outdoors circuits class. Came home very wet and muddy. I couldn't do a lot of the stuff due to my toe so did squats instead. My legs are killing me.

I'm a bit worried about the coast skirt as apparently they have to locate it in a store. Let's just hope they find one as everywhere near me didn't have one.

I can really see you in that blouse dry. And no, just no to the yeti coat. What are Whistles thinking?

Looking pretty stylish in an old tee and sweats as I'm cleaning my kitchen and obviously not time wasting on mumsnet

shopafrolic · 12/11/2014 16:48

What's your signature look?

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2014 17:08

Simple, fuss-free but with messy hair.

What about yours Shop?

shopafrolic · 12/11/2014 17:23

Skinny jeans, grey sweatshirt or tee, heels or trainers. Liquid eyeliner and red lipstick.

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2014 17:31

Sounds good. More detail here:

Skinnies, knit or tee and heel or ankle boots. Kohl eyeliner, messy hair, barely there lipstick. Ie blotted off.

Evening everyone. Was busy last night and today making DS's birthday cake, coordinating donuts being picked up by courier from East London to be brought to DS's school in West London (yes, they are THAT special), getting presents, along with Christmas Fair things, and life in general, along with walking the dog. Not tremendously taxing, but busy - especially when I received a call from the courier at 9am from the bakery saying that they did not have donuts for me, and had no clue about the order!!!!!! I had to call the head office and they had to find 24 donuts - unfortunately not all in the flavours I wanted (12 custard and 12 apple jam) and courrier them to DS's school asap. Why did I not just bake cupcakes as usual?!?

When I was picking up last minute things, I purchased the one thing I specifically mentioned yesterday that I definitely did not need, and simply just would like to have...these.

Love them so much, that I changed as soon as I got home to wear this, with this jumper, the boots, and a fur collared Belstaff Biker jacket. Love the outfit, and have found a way to wear short skirts without tights in this weather!

dry, there is no excuse for that coat. I cannot think of one thing to say except that it looks worse on a person than it does on a hangar. Wonder how low they will go in the sales? Really like the cuff, though.

Queen - sounds like a good workout. Today was a shopping-is-my-cardio day. Well, according to my pedometer, I still did over 10K of walking, so not too bad.

Stokey, nice find! I did not know about smart kettles, but DH is eyeing the Heston tea kettle which has abut 10 different settings for tea - why?!?

Hope you are feeling better one - is it a busy week again for you?

I don't really have a signature look - maybe classic with a twist?

shopafrolic · 12/11/2014 18:24

future MU venues if I was loaded.......

LinusDKD · 12/11/2014 18:55

Evening!

I don't quite know what my signature style is. I think there's definitely classic elements, maybe with a bit of boyishness thrown in.

Btw I love that VB skirt mom! santa I can actually see you in that as well.

shop blair I have finally wrapped your goodies and now all I need to do is go to the post office. Wink

libertychick · 12/11/2014 18:58

Back from Ireland. Was lovely!

Will catch up later...I don't have a signature look but think it would make life easier if I did.

OneLittleLady · 12/11/2014 20:02

Mom yes, this week is another very busy and loooooong week. As well as uni, I have a few medical appointments to fit in as well. I am feeling a bit better though, not as exhausted and the virus seems to have passed now fingers crossed

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2014 20:32

Lib welcome back! So pleased to have you back. Glad you had a nice time.

Mom I love that outfit. The skirt is amazing, especially with that jumper. But hang on, did you buy the boots?

Drywhiteplease · 12/11/2014 20:52

I've just been to a body pump class at wine o'clock ...actually an hour past wine o'clock 6pm and am now knack erred, smug and drinking a chilled Chablis Grin infact I might even have a top up Wine ...I never exercise in the evening.
Righ:
Liberty welcome home
Stokey I'd LOVE a smart kettle bet Novice would too infact if it wasn't so granny and naff I'd have a teas made in my new bedroom Grin I'm jammy though DH brings me tea in bed every day
Mom what a lovely outfit today. do you have a chilli king prawn starter recipe for Sat?

You're all making me think I need the Whistles lace cobalt cropped blouse Hmm but it's a lot for an item I'd wear with only one garment don't even suggest black skinnies, far too cropped

Fedupnagging · 12/11/2014 20:53

Queen the weather was awful today you must be very dedicated or mad, working out in the rain.

Mom lovely boots, are they the same as the one Kate (Duchesse of Cambs) is wearing in all the pics today? Am liking the block heel boots that are around ATM.

Welcome back Lib, hope you had a good time.

White stuff have 30% off a lot of items today. Am liking this top which isn't discounted! Would be better in another colour though.

Signature look. Hmmm, don't think I really have one although understated and fairly classic come to mind. (Boring?!)

Drywhiteplease · 12/11/2014 20:59

this bag arrived today. It's going back. Weirdly it has a WHITE Confused zip which just looks really odd to me. I'd rather wait to find a bag I really love

And my signature style......well, I'm pretty classic, with a hopeful contemporary twist, fitted, simple, love dressing up, hopefully polished. Wear jeans a lot but prefer dresses.

Drywhiteplease · 12/11/2014 21:03

Wear flats day to day but prefer sky scrapers.
And gold jewellery.
And make up.
Most of my footwear is black, brown or stone. boring
Most of my bottoms are black, grey, stone or denim.
I have loads of tops now folded a la Bennetton on new shelves
Actually, most of my hand bags are black or tan ....and one blue

OMG

My style is BORING!

Drywhiteplease · 12/11/2014 21:04

And I want a teas made.....

Sob

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2014 21:05

Nooo Dry. Not boring! I am jumper central atm. I need to branch out.

LinusDKD · 12/11/2014 21:09

Not boring dry! Stylish or, as the French say, Distinguée. Smile

I just painted my nails for the first time in weeks. Essie Bahama Mama, a lovely autumn colour.

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2014 21:11

Dh is out and I am cringing at housewives of Melbourne. Only because it's my home town. God they are so awful! I can't believe that's how Melbourne is presented. I know those shows are meant to be trash. But oh what happened to the lovely young studenty grunge I know and love. Trashola!

MarshaBrady · 12/11/2014 21:20

Ach I feel grubby after that confession Grin

Here's a pretty link Bottega

Theweek · 12/11/2014 21:23

Ladies,
Am delurking briefly to ask if anyone has a J Crew code please? It would ease the pan of my overflowing basket...
Thanks ??
