SOTD an unknown sample from my perfume drawer, woodsy and irisy, am baffled but enjoying it!

God Canny I had a sample of Carillon and hated it. Rarely rarely have I disliked a perfume as much Actually found the Tauers quite difficult overall. I only really liked L'Air du Desert Marocain and my sample of that is long gone. I'm on a list for a decant though! Great sample set though, good size, great little tin box and they threw in an extra one. Such good value I'm quite tempted to try a few more. I suppose I couldn't order 5 samples of LADM could I

My main perfume disappointment are those that I think I like that then trigger a headache. Latest in this regard is Tom Ford's Santal Blush. Think it's huge white florals that do it and they don't always come to the fore straight away...

Actually bought a FB of Maison Margiela's Untitled so was wafting about in that today. Hardly ever buy FBs (restrained budget rather than will power!) so it is a real mark of favour for me! Might get me off 28 La Pausa for a while anyway... My decant is running low anyway :(

Wilting: I have got around 75 fbs, some duplicates.. Don't ask! A full list of available decants and samples is somewhere on this thread..

Anyway, could do you a decant of the Diorella before I get rid. Send me a list of stuff for swaps (I could also send you an empty vial(s), so you could do a decant) and we'll work it out. :)

Wilting I hated Carillon the first time I tried it - it just seemed so bitter and acrid.
I started to find it interesting the second time around and loved the drydown.Its pretty intimidating at first but them becomes gorgeous green lilac - a very powerful massively ramped-up Lilac.Its the strongest perfume I've ever tested.Love Rose de Kandahar too.
I do find Tauer perfumes fascinating and different.
Wilting how do you order the samples directly?I've tried to but they don't deliver to the Uk
from the website.I would love to try Laddm.
Laine de Verre was very disappointing.Very short longevity and i so wanted to order a full bottle.
Toys I would be interested in the Aqua Allegoria perfume.

Canny, there's just over 20 ml left in the aqua allegoria. Would you like another bottle or some decants, as well, for it to be a fair swap?

Tween: Hope you like at least one! Your taste is pretty much polar opposite to mine, so I just didn't know what to put in there. If you like any of the decants I have made, please do ask, and I'll do you 10 ml ones. Alternatively, have a look at my list and ask for another. Putting reminder of the list on here again..

Toys summer would work for me, I'll be up north in July.
I have relatively few oriental full / half bottles but the ones that I am not wearing much all have a gourmand vibe: AP's Safran Troublant (smells like cardamom and saffron buns) and a half bottle of Dzing (smells like the circus, elephant dung included). Nicolai's New York (incense) and Vanille Intense. I have a pile of samples that I never wear, most Etat Libre d'Oranges and a big bunch of Parfumerie Generale samples.

Canny Tauers in the UK here and from Scent & Sensibility. LADDM is huge and incensey and very unisex so might not be your thing, but worth testing anyway.

Not something I would have tried based on it's description but I really like it! Quite animalistic to start off with then settles into a soft sweet buttery leather on me.

Cool. Let's do that. I will have a think. Trying to decide between the Vanille Intense and the Safran Troublant (already have a bottle, but I do love it, and I know it's now discontinued..). I love Parfumerie Generale, so the samples are also very very tempting! I'll let you know as soon as I can decide..

Carillon pour une Ange - it was like being hit over the head with a big bouquet of stocks - the kind you buy as cut flowers - with a whiff of the stagnant water they'd been standing in to top it off. I've just rediscovered my sample of Le Maroc Pour Elle and remembered how much I like it. Rich and dark, like a shop in the souk.

SOTD: Caron En Avion, my current perfume crush. Floral without being feminine, powdery, but then settling into leather as it matures on the skin. Love, love, love it. Saw a fb of the extrait on Ebay, hesitated, and it went .

SOTD- Mistero di Roma Laura Biagiotti (Thanks Toys) I really liked it for the whole hour it stayed around.
Blind buy Mure et Musc from L'Artisan. I get loads of blackberries settling into a musky softness. I get none of the citrus or basil top notes, blackberries from start to finish, sadly poor longevity on me but it is a fruity perfume I really like.

I have Mure et Musc as well but it smells like a mans aftershave on me.So does Blackberry and Bay.I have blackcurrant Anosmia and I suspect blackberry Anosmia too.I suspect I can't smell any of the sweetness of the fruit which is a real shame because I used to love In Love Again.This now smells nothing like it used to on me.
Rose d'ete by Rosine today.Yellow rose with mimosa and Linden Blossom are some of my favourite notes.Its the first truly Yellow Rose perfumes I've tried and its beautiful.I want a bottle!I've ordered a sample pack of Parfums de Rosine Roses and I've been having a lovely time dabbing.

Sotd: Bvlgari Black. Love the rubbery vanilla leather. Another gp appointment with DS, this time for something else constipation, TMI!

Toys in exchange for the Tauer and Montale's I can offer a decant of Lutens fille en aiguilles ( disclaimer i think - right colour- the label is lost)though it is definitely a Lutens.

Toomuchtea: Let me know after your inventory. I like some florals, citrusy and green scents, as well, but orientals are my best bet, generally.

If I could invent a perfume it would have incense, leather, amber, cinnamon, cardamom, safron, vanilla and possibly chocolate or tobacco.. Maybe some kind of floral note to lift it, rose, heliotrope? I would also love an element of wax or rubber/vinyl in it. What a dog's dinner!
