Novice dinner with clients. She has a stylist and looks fantastic. Not too worried, only a teeny bit Smile Looking forward to the fashion talk though.

Karbea · 01/10/2014 22:10

Wow I'd love a stylist, I wonder how much one of those would cost?

Drywhiteplease · 01/10/2014 22:32

She goes to town a couple of times a year, meets her stylist and they sort her whole look out....clothes, hair and make up....she's very good.

Karbea · 01/10/2014 22:39

Wow I'd love that! I wonder how much it is, as it could actually save you money, by stopping you buying mistakes.

Drywhiteplease · 01/10/2014 22:43

I love her look...the stylist is brilliant.

OneLittleLady · 01/10/2014 22:51

I dread to think what a stylist would make of my 'look' haha. It'd be interesting to have a one off consultation with one though, see if I am getting most things right or none at all. I'm sure you will look lovely as always dry

maradesbois · 02/10/2014 06:03

Morning,

Santa and Linus hope your dc are feeling better today.

Novice my mil has a burberry children's trench, is just like the adult ones but about a third of the price like your shoes.

The event was fab last night. Felt good in my dress, kept jewellery very simple, just usual rings and mikimoto pearls. They decided to hold the whole thing outside though, in nearly 40 degree heat and high humidity. We were all shiny faced and frizzy haired by the end but had a lovely time and didn't matter.

MarshaBrady · 02/10/2014 08:17

Morning

That sounds ace Mara

Dry a stylist! What does she usually wear?

MarshaBrady · 02/10/2014 08:18

Novice hope you get a rest soon.

BrandyAlexander · 02/10/2014 08:53

Thanks Marsha.Smile

Nightmare start to the day, am on travels again. Dh didn't get home till late and I waited up for him. I have had 9 hours sleep in total so I got up Sunday morning. However I feel good - Karen millen sweater that's chiffon at the back, warehouse black straight leg trousers (can only wear if I am not feeling like a heffer as they're practically spray on!), Zara beige jacket. Accessories are new beloved hermes watch (totally love it now!), Boodles raindance ring, tan Aspinal biker and RB shoe boots.

Karbea, i am a size 3 too!

Dry, I fail to actually see how you could be anything but stunning. You don't need a stylist you have MNV!Grin

Children's Burberry trench? Who knew?!

Mara, blimey that sounds hot! Glad you had a good time!

Stokey · 02/10/2014 10:08

Gosh am very tempted to head to R&B and Burberry today and check out their children's department - great knowledge Novice and Mara. I'm size 5 in shoes and8 in coats so may be able to find something!

Shop or anyone else looking for faux leather leggings, DMBL40 has a whole post on it today - some really decent looking ones at Esprit of all places, somewhere I never go in.

& Gap sale back on.

shopafrolic · 02/10/2014 10:26

Thanks for that Stokey - I stopped following DMBL40 as I got a bit bored - I'll take a look....

MarshaBrady · 02/10/2014 11:15

Dry that is very true, you've got us Grin and you're chic already.

Intriguing about the children's sizes, good luck Stokey hope you get something.

MarshaBrady · 02/10/2014 11:32

I'm going out tonight and have that presentation to out thing to do argh. Has to be Burberry pitch pants and MiH shirt. Not very exciting and can't decide on shoes.

Stokey · 02/10/2014 11:52

I'm in pointy flats today Marsha but you may be able to do boots by the evening?

Would the Rossi's be too crazy? I quite like pimping up a work outfit with cool shoes.

Karbea · 02/10/2014 13:34

novice do you have a lot of boodles things? Do you go to many of their events?
Julie at the royal Exchange is our jeweller.
I tried on the rain dance a few time but it didn't suit me (which made me sad), in the end they did a one of piece, that I love :)

MarshaBrady · 02/10/2014 13:42

Stokey I wish had worn the Rossis, I feared my foot was too exposed (very slight toe thing going on, typing that was hard Grin) for a meeting but would have been perfect for tonight.

shopafrolic · 02/10/2014 13:55

Love the ideas behind the Atterley Road mag but....socks with Birkenstocks???? Also - the photo at the bottom right of page 22 (Life after the catwalk) - the way it has been laid out makes the woman in the tartan scarf look as though she has massive (but terribly short) legs. Plus still little to nothing of colour Hmm. Enjoyed the read though.
Marsha Grin

Stokey · 02/10/2014 13:57

Hehe I forgot about your toe thing.

Coach have got a great window display in Regent's St at the moment, especially for winter colours, purple, green and blue - I think it's this bag.

MarshaBrady · 02/10/2014 14:02

Haha at toe emoticon. Made me chuckle in a cafe Grin

Stokey love the sound of those colours together.

Which remind me, Shop when is your HoC? What are you wearing these days - Autumn with a bit of winter?

shopafrolic · 02/10/2014 14:16

A lot of black Marsha :)
No real change yet. Colours are a week Sat (11th).

OneLittleLady · 02/10/2014 16:02

Hello all!

Fabulous bargain found in the charity shop though the shop label has been cut out of it, an 80% wool 20% cashmere coat in mid grey. It is a slightly a line cut with concealed buttons and it fits me like a glove. Even the sleeves are absolutely just the right length. It is in totally perfect condition so that's this years winter coat sorted and all for £7.99! Also got a BNWT red crew neck cashmere cardigan for £4.

Treated myself to some new foundation and lipstick from estee lauder, very nice lady who served me, she could see straight away I was cool toned and knew just what colours to suggest for me. Didn't tell me, like one make up counter I won't name, that because I have cool tones I need to wear warm tones to even me out Shock

LinusDKD · 02/10/2014 16:07

Wow, those are incredible bargains one! Well done!

novice reading about your travels makes me feel tired Wink Hope you have a break soon.

dry would love to have a personal stylist like your friend. It must be hard to find a good one as everyone calls themselves a stylist nowadays.

DS is a lot better (I can tell because the naughtyness is back) but now I'm feeling a bit grotty.

OneLittleLady · 02/10/2014 16:23

Glad Ds is feeling brighter linus but obviously not glad that you are now not feeling great Thanks

Definitely excellent bargains, really pleased with them Smile

Fedupnagging · 02/10/2014 16:45

I would love to have a stylist right now. Oh well....

Dry, you have to wear your skirt and heels tomorrow! Do you have a simple vest top/t shirt that could be worn with a jacket? I think Blair did the t shirt and leather skirt last week and it sounded fab.

One great bargains.

Mara glad you had a lovely time despite frizzy hair.

Great Coach bag Stokey

Marsha your toe cleavage thing makes me laugh Grin although I don't like showing too much toe cleavage either.

I have the AR booklet but not had a chance to look through it. I really dislike the ankle sock and sliders trend but that might just be my age!

Novice you need to slow down!

Linus hope you feel better soon.

Hope I've covered everyone, apologies if not.
