It's freezing now the sun has gone in linus...I had to scrape my windscreen this morning Shock, turned out to be a lovely day though. I'll always be a southern softie Wink
Have had a rummage...nothing works.....will need to go shopping Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/10/2014 20:16

What do you mean the bar on top has disappeared Dry?

Trying to organise wedding dress appointments is so annoying. Luckily I got a cancellation for one shop I rang, so I'm now going to 2 places this Saturday. One lady I talked to practically told me off for daring to ask whether certain styles would be available to try, when I haven't tried any on yet!

I feel like I've lost my shopping mojo a bit lately, I think I have been looking at too many wedding dresses. Either way I haven't been spending as much time browsing for clothes Confused Hope I go back to normal soon...

Dry outfit sounds fab. Are you just trying on or going out tonight too?

Look at this gorgeous Reed Krakoff bag. Swoon. His bags are so me.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/10/2014 20:27

Dry oh I see, my pinterest has literally just changed. Why can't you copy and paste?

LinusDKD · 02/10/2014 20:41

Saw this and thought of santa

dry that outfit sounds gorgeous. Don't get hammered though or you will regret it tomorrow :) OLL those bargains make me feel so jealous. £4.99 for cashmere, happy days.

Not so sure about that Reed Krakov bag. Quite like the green anarchy one below it but it's a bit phantom-y. But the cobalt colour is lush and it looks like it would be a workhorse that you would use lots and lots. Linus that scarf is nice but the price is insane. I'd pay that for a bag but not for a scarf.

Do you like this

Awks · 02/10/2014 21:02

I'm totally having this

Awks · 02/10/2014 21:06

not dissimilar to the LV scarf and £400 cheaper here

Karbea · 02/10/2014 21:10

Weird I just typed something and it hasn't shown up.
Anyway what I was trying To say is the thing with wedding dresses, is, that you have to try on all shapes, because what you think will suit you, won't, and what you think you'll hate, you'll love!

Karbea · 02/10/2014 21:13

I wasn't struck on the bag, sorry.
Loved the LV scarf.
Didn't like the first jumper, but liked the second.

Argh I really want to buy stuff!! Hurumpf!

LinusDKD · 02/10/2014 21:24

I agree with Karbea re wedding dresses. When I saw mine on the hanger I really didn't like it but when I put it on it looked lovely.

I actually like that bag blair but you know me, I just love cobalt.

awks I like the intarsia jumper but the neckline is a bit too high for my liking.

OP posts:
Karbea · 02/10/2014 21:28

I'm going to try and get more v neck jumpers as i think they'll suit me better because of my bigger boobage.

santamarianovella · 02/10/2014 21:33

linus you are naughty Grinlove it, I shortlisted it,

dry your outfit sounds really good,

blair I love the colour, but not to keen on the belt around it, RK bags are beautifully made.i admire them.

awks I love that sweater,

No fashion news,on a mini ban till end of month,

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 02/10/2014 21:34

So how do you decide what to try on in the first place?

I think I'm a bit of a control freak - I hate the supposed random factor of it. I think it's because I (like to think I) know my style quite well.

How many dresses did you all try before you chose one? I feel panicked at the thought of never finding one I like enough. If you all say it was less than 10 I will be reassured.

MarshaBrady · 02/10/2014 21:54

I have been out and had a great time, great meeting with client and bought a Marant Etoile jacket, but size FR 34 still a bit roomy and a a Marant tartan scarf eep. Wore it out of shop- the one in a Shoreditch. Has a great time out.

Karbea · 02/10/2014 21:55

I've been married twice, the first time I ended up with a Vera wang very similar to VBs (it was 1999), but I was gorgeous. I tried on lots of dresses, at all of the designers everyone goes to in London. I got it from the wedding shop in liberty (no longer there I think), but I was going to get another Vera wang and I was going back and trying it on most lunchtimes as I was unsure, just before I was going to order it the lady said a new one had come in, and I tried it on, and decided there and then, it was the one.

MarshaBrady · 02/10/2014 21:55

Felt a big guilty about the £100 off at Matches, but checked and they don't have it phew

MarshaBrady · 02/10/2014 21:58

Karbea I remember the wedding shop with the dresses in Liberty. We did our guest list in the wedding gifts part, it was so fun choosing.

Actually NaP had a wedding shop online, seems to have disappeared.

Karbea · 02/10/2014 21:59

The second time I felt under time pressure and only tried on a candy Antony dress as I thought it was what I wanted. Two weeks before the wedding I couldn't sleep in a panic and went out to Harvey Nichols and got an Issa dress off the peg and wore that. The CA went to a charity shop!

Karbea · 02/10/2014 22:01

Here it is.

Karbea · 02/10/2014 22:01

I meant "it" was gorgeous, not me! And it was 2001... Loosing my mind!

Karbea · 02/10/2014 22:06

I wore these shoes! and this dress for my second wedding.

santamarianovella · 02/10/2014 22:12

NAP should just stick to clothes, all those branching out ideas they have are ruining it, I hardly check it anymore, too much non fashion related products, and the buyers have gone bonkers lately.
Thanks for mentioning NAP marsha needed to vent Wink
My dress was Vera wang too karbea, I saw it online called browns, and they had it, but I ended up getting if from the US, as they had one available with minimum alterations needed, my wedding was in less than 5 months so anything custom made was out of the question,
blair please don't worry about it that much, all brides go through this, relax Smile

Karbea · 02/10/2014 22:17

santa the dresses are gorgeous! mine is still in my parents loft! I'd love to get it out and play with it, but I suspect my 2nd husband wouldn't appreciate that! Oops!
