I'm the same Novice I really need to do my own washing. Even if I leave stuff in the machine ready to go I can't stand it if people put the wrong cycle on.

I'm in Stella stone wash and blue Equipment cashmere. It's miles away this thing, got to get going.

MarshaBrady · 12/10/2014 13:27

Last night I wore the Stella jeans (picked them up again this morning!) and MiH dotty blouse and grey Rossis.

BrandyAlexander · 12/10/2014 15:28

Gosh poor you Santa!

Lib, I almost texted you this morning as I had tickets for the Unicorn Theatre, didn't feel well enough to go so was going to ask if you wanted them (for free obviously!!). As I was texting, dh said he would take them. Anyway, if it happens again that we can't go, is that something you would you be interested doing, ie taking mini Lib? (I normally get 4 tickets). Anyone else interested then let me know too!

Karbea · 12/10/2014 15:33

Anyone want to take a guess at what season I am, you've all got me obsessed with this.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/10/2014 15:35

In our house DP washes the darks and I do the lights, works well as most of my clothes are light and I keep anything "special" separate to do myself. I really want to get a laundry basket with 3 compartments sad

santa i found myself watching TLC yesterday - Say Yes To The Dress Blush

shop congratulations! So glad you could see it.

QueenC thanks, that dress is definitely one I'd seek out in the flesh, though the neckline isn't quite what I want. The trouble with high street wedding ranges is finding which shops stock them, flagship stores I guess?

mara thanks for your links too, I have seen that needle and thread dress, think it's too "solid" looking material if you see what I mean. I think I'm going to take a day off work in the next 2 weeks for another London trip and go to Temperley. :)

Fedup that thread was informative! Everyone had such cheap dresses. I just don't know where they would have found them, everything steers you towards these big bridal shops!

novice thank you Flowers I am going to step back from it for a few days I think. My lovely sister chatted to my mum without me knowing, and apparently she said she doesn't mind about the cost. I feel very lucky! So I just need to find a dress I love and deal with the guilt.

LinusDKD · 12/10/2014 15:47

novice can you soak the jumper in some water with lots of fabric softener to see if that might help with the feel of the jumper?

shop I pinned that J Crew jumper as well last winter but never ordered it as I was afraid it would look bulky on me.

I will try it on in NY if they have it in store and let you know what it's like.

libertychick · 12/10/2014 16:44

Novice that is so nice of you - yes, do keep me in mind if that happens again as long as I'm not hungover

Blair fab news on the dress budget. I totally get where you are coming from on the guilt, I was exactly the same! Get the right dress for you. I didn't spend much but was completely happy with my dress.

Karbea · 12/10/2014 16:47

I think I'm a bright spring!

libertychick · 12/10/2014 16:55

I've just replied on other other thread karbea!! Bright spring sounds right but you really should find out as it seems to be very hard to self diagnose.

BrandyAlexander · 12/10/2014 17:09

Blair, so glad that you have clarity now! Good ole sis!

Linus, thank you.i am too worried to do anything now so I was going to take it to my lovely dry cleaner tomorrow and sob in his arms ask his advice!

Lib, you're welcome. You know me, I hate waste! We book lots of tickets all at once and up to 6 months in advance so we do have a number of occasions where illness/other things happen and we can't go. Will text you next time.

Karbea, you are sooo pretty! I thought you were a bright spring too but it's all too confusing!

MarshaBrady · 12/10/2014 17:12

Oh man I survived. That was a long 2.5 hours at a laser party.

shopafrolic · 12/10/2014 17:26

You are one brave lady Marsha Brew

shopafrolic · 12/10/2014 17:28

Karbea As someone who thought I knew what season I was, but had got it horribly wrong I REALLY recommend you get draped. The money pays itself back in the long term as you only buy stuff that suits you

I caved and ordered the J Crew cable jumper - I need to get started..... Lipsticks tomorrow.

Karbea · 12/10/2014 17:29

I'm totally confused now. Until I get my colours done I'm going to dress like a goth!
novice thank you! That's so kind of you. I'm not very pretty at the moment, everything has been neglected whilst I'm on a spending ban. I've warned my dh that I'm going to be spending a serious amount if money buying new things and beautifying myself when the money taps are turned back on.
I bet the dry cleaning will be able to sort it out. There used to be a cashmere specialist in London, I found them a few years ago when I tore a throw of mine. Will see if I can find them for you.

Karbea · 12/10/2014 17:34

Umm I think they may no longer exist. The only ones I can find now are in Scotland.

Fedupnagging · 12/10/2014 17:36

Am having massive problems linking on the iPad ATM so tried using the main computer and can't remember my password. Think I need a lie down in a dark room.
Will do links one at a time - sorry.

Picked up this shirt yesterday and wearing it today. Don't wear shirts very often but this is lovely and soft and I love the press studs instead of buttons.

Novice how annoying about your jumper. Hope you get it fixed. I am terrible for just chucking stuff in the machine then moan when things have shrunk.

Blair what a lovely Mum and really glad you can ease up on your stress levels over the dress.

Lovely links earlier Dry. Loved the D&G crepe top and think it would look fab as a dress too.

Wine for Marsha after the gruelling laser session.

shopafrolic · 12/10/2014 17:41

That shirt is fab Fedup

shopafrolic · 12/10/2014 17:42

The pockets look huge in the later pics though? Where do they sit on your boobs

Drywhiteplease · 12/10/2014 18:04

Shop were there any colours you'd been wearing that you've been told are totally wrong, or is it just that there are more colours you can wear?
Tell me about lipstick. What were you wearing? And what will you be wearing?

Drywhiteplease · 12/10/2014 18:06

Just opened my visa bill.......
Leather skirt
Whistles courts
Radiator covers
Door knobs
Grin
It's a big one Shock....bit random. NO MORE SPENDING this month.

Karbea · 12/10/2014 18:08

Have you seen this which shows Mac lipsticks for each of the colours.

Karbea · 12/10/2014 18:12

Or this with other brands.

Fedupnagging · 12/10/2014 18:24

Fancied a bit of animal print so bought these lovelies. I have this style in the cream and black and have worn them a lot.

I thought that these coated skinnies would be a good alternative to leather trousers but they just wrinkled all over which I didn't think was a good look. They were returned.

Shop most of my lipsticks are various shades of pinks, (Chanel, Mac and bobbi brown) and bizarrely, a purple-ish shade from YSL. Anything bordering on orange/brown doesn't look right at all.

Fedupnagging · 12/10/2014 18:33

Sorry Shop forget to answer your question. Yes, the pockets are rather large but look ok. The top seam of the pocket is about halfway down my boobs and the flap lays flat iyswim?

Am wearing a grey vest under the shirt and have the top 4 poppers undone- it looks better on me like that rather than buttoned up to the neck.

Ouch, Dry I can imagine how painful that visa bill was!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/10/2014 18:36

Interesting site Karbea, I love reading about colour analysis. My mum wants to get it done before my wedding so she can look her best Grin so I have emailed my consultant to see if she will take us all together to do colour for mum and a style day for my Autumnal sister and I.

I am a bright spring (Blue Spring in HoC speak as I tend toward Bright winter due to dark hair) and it's things like this from that site: "your eyes have a jewel-like appearance" that made a lightbulb come on in my head when I tried on more sparkly wedding dresses.
