I've got a pin board lib but still have problems c+p that. Looks like loads of people can't use c+p since ios8.

Anyway, I shall start again.....
It was actually a lot harder than I'd anticipated. I had quite fixed ideas for some of you and finding what I wanted in the colours I wanted proud difficult. I have literally drooled over 100s of dresses this week and still not entirely happy with all my choices Grin.
So, for me, it had to be elie Saab as I absolutely adore his dresses.
one was easy as I knew I wanted westwood. I decided to go short due to your height but it's still special enough for the red carpet. Finding low heeled shoes with quirky details was difficult but hope you like the mui muis.
sleep you look fabulous in red and fabulous in your tart dress so knew exactly what I wanted for you. Hope you like the valentino and rock studs.

QueenCardigan · 05/10/2014 20:54

i will link the pin board in a minute once I've done all my explaining!

liberty after seeing your marc Jacobs link the other day I decided to go for a tuxedo style dress for you. There are two pinned for you to choose from. Can't remember the designers.
shop I couldn't imagine you in a full length gown and I wanted something with a bit of attitude. In the end I went for a proenza little black number with killer heels. I chose a gold cuff for you too.
marsha I found it really hard choosing a red carpet dress to suit your laid back vibe. You're certainly not the traditional ball gown type style and I didn't want anything too structured but neither too flimsy/girly. I chose a Jason wu number in either blue or orange with some metallic Rossi heels.

QueenCardigan · 05/10/2014 20:58

dry it was more difficult than I thought for you. I found loads of cocktail dresses for you but knowing that you never like to be underdressed I thought you'd probrably want full length. I considered loads for you-valentino, D&G but eventually settled on Jenny packham for the colour. Just hoping it's not too much sparkle/embellishment for you.
linus I was considering very similar dresses for you and dry and you ended up with a Jenny packham dress too. I really like the McQueen for you too but wasn't sure about it being black.

Drywhiteplease · 05/10/2014 21:01

Spot on QueenC...full length for me. Like JP and the other designers you mentioned too off to look.
So it's IOS8 that's causing the cut and paste problems.....

Drywhiteplease · 05/10/2014 21:02

You must have spent ages doing this ......

QueenCardigan · 05/10/2014 21:03

novice due to your petiteness I wasn't sure about full length but everything I considered for you was too much like your work wear so I did choose a long Roland mouret. I figured Mr novice would like the zip as well! Obviously there is bling for you. Either the watch or bracelet is 58k Shock
amber I knew I wanted your outfit to be all shout the shoes. I originally chose the Saint laurent pair for you but also loved the Chinese blue aquazzura. There are so many statement heels out there and not being a huge shoe person I found it difficult to choose.
santa I originally chose chloe for you but then you said that you wanted dior couture. There are a couple of diors for you to choose from.

QueenCardigan · 05/10/2014 21:05

mara after seeing you in the plum Zarita I knew I wanted that colour for you so hope you lke it.
fedup/topaz I realised that I didn't know your styles well enough to dress you for the red carpet but there are just a few spares on the pin board if you'd like to choose.

Did I forget anyone?

Drywhiteplease · 05/10/2014 21:06

Can't see the board QueenC but, my god, Idwear every dress on your fantasy board.....if I had the budget and occasion

MarshaBrady · 05/10/2014 21:06

QueenC what a lovely thing to do! Really love all the explanations, you know everyone's style so well

QueenCardigan · 05/10/2014 21:06

ta da

QueenCardigan · 05/10/2014 21:08

Yep, dry, it seems loads have let the c+p facility since upgrading to ios8. Someone suggested using the iclear app which I've just done and was able to lnk my pin board with no probs.

QueenCardigan · 05/10/2014 21:10

I suddenly have 178 followers of the board now that it's not secret Grin

MarshaBrady · 05/10/2014 21:11

Beautiful!

Ok I'll take my stunning Jason Wu one in orange, love it.

and love loads of the others. Going for another look.

MarshaBrady · 05/10/2014 21:11

178 followers from 0?! Just now?

MarshaBrady · 05/10/2014 21:12

Oh must be the people who follow all your boards.

OneLittleLady · 05/10/2014 21:13

I love it! so very me. I love all your other choices as well

libertychick · 05/10/2014 21:19

Wow QueenC that is a feast for the eyes. I love both tux dresses but the YSL one probably edges it! But if I had a red carpet event I would also want to try on this Elie Saab and the Marchesa

Adore the blue Jenny Packham you pinned for Linus too...

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/10/2014 21:20

You missed me on your roundup but I found your pins for me:
Elie Saab I'd get married in this if money no object!
Naeem Khan gorgeous gorgeous colour and detail!
More Elie Saab to die for
and
Aquazzura gold shoes
Thanks QueenC! Amazing choices for everyone.
So, when and what is the event?? Wink

Sleepwhenidie · 05/10/2014 21:24

Oh wow Queen, what a beautiful board. I love my Valentino! You've got everyone nailed perfectly Smile. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could wear it all for a night!

One I love the sound of the playsuit Smile and thank you very much for the offer of credit, it's all down to you but I could do with a boost so I'll take a little Smile

LinusDKD · 05/10/2014 21:31

LOVE the J Packham you pinned for me but miles of tit tape would be needed to keep my boobs up and in place

I adore the McQueen! I do have a soft spot for baroque embelishments on 'plain' dresses.

I love the other dresses as well, especially tux for lib, V Westwood for one and the orange one for marsha!

Oh and the red Roland Mouret for novice, your Elie Saab, the blue heels for amber, the stunning plum for mara, the edgy black dress for shop, the second Dior for santa, the mandarin E Saab for blair and the J Packham for dry.

Seriously, the ST Style journo reading our posts Wink should do a feature on normal women wearing couture gowns for a day and invite us for a day of pampering and preening before putting us in the frock of our dreams.

Oh and IOS 8 sucks! Big Time!

BrandyAlexander · 05/10/2014 21:32

Oh those are stunning! You absolutely got mine right and the others as well. Eg I knew Sleep would love that Valentino dress. I actually have a dress in my wardrobe that is the absolute spitting image of the dress you pinned for me. And I mean spitting image! I love that dress, looked and felt amazing in it. The bling you pinned weren't Cartier but the bracelet was similar. Only the shoes are different. That's just so uncanny!!! ThanksThanksThanks

Fedupnagging · 05/10/2014 21:35

Queen you must have spent hours but what a fabulous board.

If it's going spare, the black Elie Saab would be perfect or the short Valentino black if Amber is wearing something else.

Am having massive problems with pinterest, each time I click on a link, it reverts me back to the homepage of the app so I don't get to see the links. It's driving me insane tonight!

OneLittleLady · 05/10/2014 21:36

you deserve more than a little sleep
