Aww just logged on for the first time in a couple of days and remembered QueenC's red carpet links but still waiting patiently! :)
So, my mum stayed for the weekend and yesterday we met both my sisters in town and went dress shopping. I tried on 6 at Pronovias and 5 at a little independent shop in Marylebone. I think I felt a bit overwhelmed after that! Anyway I loved Pronovias, had the loveliest lady helping me who was actually the fitter rather than a salesperson, so thank you Mara for the recommendation. 
My favourite dress was from there. I tried to try lots of different things, some of my instincts were right (I need a slinky column shape rather than wide skirt or anything too fishtail) and some were wrong (lace is not as good on me as I thought and I actually looked best in ones with lots of sparkly embellishment). So lots to think about, I am going to go to a couple of local shops next weekend and try to decide after.
Today we went to the venue for an open day and my mum loved it, so that's good! I have had a cold for 3 days though and feel absolutely terrible. But it's been a lovely weekend.

Amber I saw that red dress and loved it too! Only one left in an S though and I'm not buying a party dress just yet. You'll have to show it on the blog.
I've missed lots, sorry, but hello to everyone, and a bar with food suits me fine for the MU, I love places that do small plates or dishes to share.
