Just a quick one from me too this eve to say good luck to One. Look forward to hearing all about your first day.
No worries Mara Smile your gold one is gorgeous.
Be back when I have caught up after the weekend.

LinusDKD · 15/09/2014 07:32

Morning.

Good luck today one!

Looks like it's going to be another nice day here but mornings are quite fresh so I'm wearing grey TS Leigh skinnies (my first pair, I have six pairs in different colours now), white J Crew painter tee, J Crew leopard ballet flats and my P&J Sister coatigan.

Will probably end up in a tee and shorts by this afternoon as it heats up.

Drywhiteplease · 15/09/2014 07:59

Good luck today one . Beginning of an exciting new chapter. Smile

MarshaBrady · 15/09/2014 09:12

Morning

Good luck One, you'll be great.

BrandyAlexander · 15/09/2014 09:21

Morning! Just a quick post to wish One the best. Be proud of yourself and enjoy every minute of it!

Stokey · 15/09/2014 10:13

Hope you're having a good first day One

I just did my first proper school run. So many people! DD1 was OK at first but then hid behind me as the teacher arrived, but sure she'll be fine. Her friend from nursery was in tears, poor little chap.

Hello Here - loving all the stoles. I've got a 1940s party to go to in a couple of weeks and think I can get away with a red "wiggle" dress I already have (wore it to my own 40th) but definitely will need some glamorous jacket or shrug to go over it. Not sure what is typical of the time.

I can't do the 22nd sadly, yet another 40th. Will watch & see if the MNV gets moved.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/09/2014 10:33

Hope it's going well One and looking forward to hearing about your day. Your outfit was perfect (you'll have to start a spreadsheet like mine to plan each day now) Smile

Afternoon everyone, spent ENTIRE weekend in DS1 bedroom, received new bed and mattress (lovely handmade stuffed with hemp and cotton from J.Lewis, maybe the hemp will make for a good night's sleep?).
It's his 22nd Birthday tomorrow, and he wanted a new bed (his old Ikea one admittedly had seen better days).

He had planned a birthday weekend in London with friends so DH and I had the cunning plan...while at it gave his bedroom a good airing and deep clean (OMG why are boys so filthy!???), and you should have seen his face when back home last night!

He is delighted and has started new college course today after leaving Uni on his second year and spending a whole year shut in his bedroom making money on bitcoins and other incomprehensible internet things.
So a lovely birthday surprise for him which has left me rather exhausted for this new working week. But I hope gives him the right start for this new phase in his life.

One look forward to hearing how it all went on your first day, I hope you had fun, your outfit sounds perfect.

Unfortunately cannot make the meet in November, as we have a holiday booked in Mexico and we return on 21st, and I know there will be too much @ home to catch up with to make it to London on the 22nd. Shame...maybe next time.

Which reminds me, I ordered some stuff from Boden 80% sale, including a bikini for aforementioned holiday...won't post as I am sure most will go back including a bikini!!!!! What am I thinking of??? If I get to keep any I will let you know.

I liked all the sparkly shoes Linus posted! And Fedup yours were lovely too, would never be able to walk in them though...

Blair I ordered some bargains on allbeauty.com site from Clarins. Lovely hydraquench tinted moisturiser, light coverage, not greasy, etc.
Blondie are friends with one of my mates, she gets VIP access to all their concerts, the lucky thing.

This coming weekend I have another long weekend to go visit friends in the Dordogne, lucky pips retired in their late forties!! They are very close friends we haven't seen in a couple of years so really looking fw...

Justa how was the Uniglo shirt quality wise? I ordered some of the Ines de la Fressage things, a wrap top and t shirt, whilst both were lovely the jersey was cheap...it developed wobbles after a few washes!

Right, back to work and sorting out the Italians, calm down the Germans, and be forthright with the Belgians for all those projects going tips up.
Will keep eye on your posts.

SoyYo · 15/09/2014 15:20

and novice congratulations on winning the client!
QueenC hope you like the cake!
I am very happy now, the Italian team have got one of the work projects back on course (just had a nice phone call). One down, several to go....

Sleepwhenidie · 15/09/2014 15:31

Yay One...why the Sad?

OneLittleLady · 15/09/2014 16:34

there wasn't meant to be a Sad sleep I was on mobile and didn't catch that i'd hit that face instead of a Grin!

I am home now and exhausted! Not used to such early starts but will have to get used to it now!

SoyYo · 15/09/2014 16:59

One very pleased to hear your first day was a big Grin

OneLittleLady · 15/09/2014 17:50

I meant to say, thank you all for your well wishes. I read them through the day and it was nice to feel some support behind me. I got a few messages of support through text and FB messaging as well through the day which was nice. I am relaxing quietly now and am going to read the student handbook later, just so I know which rules to break and which not to Wink

the Quest for the perfect leather skirt, latest update*

You must have realised by now that I'm like a dog with a bone on this one, I'm trying anything.
A surprising development today Hmm. Leafing through my La Redoute on Saturday I saw this and thought "what the heck" this a thorough search . Arrived today, actually rather nice, good length, soft leather, not shiny, nice suede waistband, but too big Shock....I HAVE NOT SHRUNK!
With the delivery was a discount code for 50% off my next purchase Hmm so I've ordered the smaller size. If it fits it will be £50!!!Shock the only thing is because the leather is cheap it really stinks......is there anything I could do to get rid?

OneLittleLady · 15/09/2014 18:25

that looks good dry hopefully the smaller size will fit. Even I've noticed that in some stores, clothes in my usual size seem huge, in others they are still small, if you were so inclined to call a size 14/16 small that is

LinusDKD · 15/09/2014 19:11

That actually look nice dry, hope the smaller size fits.

No idea what to do with stinky leather. I have a Liberty handbag that is lovely but I avoid using it as it really stinks. Sad

LinusDKD · 15/09/2014 19:18

herecomesthsun · 15/09/2014 19:22

Drywhiteplease · 15/09/2014 19:25
