hi, I have been about in Style and Beauty and elsewhere for about 6 years but don't usually post on the MNV, though I did on an earlier incarnation of it. I am off to a college reunion and want to look elegant! (it is black tie but not gowns apparently)

I have also been a bit cheeky and posted here I really like the pic in the link!

I am not poor (although I like a bargain). The one I posted was on Amazon for about £60 reduced from £80.That seems a reasonable amount.

I also saw this but I think I want something more aspiring to elegance that will make me look less like a furby

I get chest infections easily and the college hall can be quite draughty. I have a beaded Biba shrug from the summer but I thought it might be good to have something warmer to put over my shoulders. I don't really want a full on faux fur jacket though as I think that would be a bit bulky, I'd like to keep the line of my dress. I really liked the Dents one as is cut quite high and above the waist but looks substantial enough to snuggle into.

I think it might have to be the batman tee. there'll be a lot going off with clashing patterns of the jacket and the scarf so bright pink might just be a smidge too much. Batman tee is grey so a little more subtle despite the bat symbol on it!

I have been watching this but decided against it.I suddenly thought of Pharrell Williams in the Blurred Lines video, I am not sure that is the vibe I want to be channelling!

I like Amber's stole but not for this occasion I don't think!

amber you just have to get that. It's perfect winter colours. The boutique I was in the other day sells Helen Moore stuff and I was really tempted but think I'd probably look a Wally .
