good luck one!!

MarshaBrady · 15/09/2014 19:34

I really like that here

Fedupnagging · 15/09/2014 19:49

One really pleased you had a good day at college. This is the start of a new chapter for you. How exciting.

Soyo hope your ds had a good day too especially after not doing much for a year. Fab birthday present btw.

My ds2 also started a new college today having not done anything for 3 months. He left at 8am and got home 6pm and promptly went for a nap Hmm

Anyway, back to fashion.... Dry, have no idea about the smelly skirt but no doubt someone will. Don't suppose a bit of fabreeze would do,the trick?!

This arrived on Sat and looks really nice. Brilliant price at £12.

Am returning the me&em dress sadly. It just emphasised my tummy too much. I can see why you all love the dresses though as the fabric has a lovely feel to it and is a decent weight.

maradesbois · 15/09/2014 21:00

Fedup ooh, I love that might have to copy you

Linus love the dress too.

here that jacket could look really good, how would you wear it? Welcome to the thread btw Smile

One great that you had a good day. I love being a student.

Dry the skirt looks good. Smell will probably fade like the new car smell. Maybe.

SoyYo good to hear from you, your travel plans sound amazing.

Dh is back from a work trip to Asia and has returned bearing gifts. He normally makes a point not to bring anything, especially for ds so that he doesn't link parental absence and presents but this time it was for me anyway. I have Sisley Soir de Lune perfume and 3 scarves in bright blue, gold and purple. Not sure about the purple as not my colour at all but will try and give to someone as a Christmas gift if I don't like it.

Awks · 15/09/2014 21:29

That leather skirt is lovely! It will be the dye that smells so put it in a bag with some coffee beans inside the bag. Don't seal it but just store it like that for a day of 2 and the smell should go.

bettykt · 15/09/2014 21:38

Life is quite busy here at the moment. Work prep and interview tomorrow but just wanted to say glad you had a good 1st day at uni One will catch up with everything later on this week.

Drywhiteplease · 15/09/2014 21:43

Coffee beans Awks Hmm never heard of that! brilliant. The smaller skirt is arriving tomorrow. I'll report back.

Also......question of the day.
Are there any trends you've held on to that have gone out but have come back again?
I was thinking about this today. I wore ankle grazing black trousers with my chunky black loafers, a cream shirt layered under a boxy sky blue jumper. It seems I was working the "masculine flat shoe with a bit of ankle" a look that's now "in" according to ST style mag and In Style too. It never went out for me Grin

Drywhiteplease · 16/09/2014 07:35

linus I'm wearing our dress for the first time today with these ways! feel great! could do with shortening by a stripe. The quality of the cotton jersey is great.

Drywhiteplease · 16/09/2014 07:47

Bloody iPad putting !!!!!!! Everywhere

MarshaBrady · 16/09/2014 07:50

Dry love that whole look - the trend thing.

What's in this a/w? Seems to have passed me by!

Tartan possibly, grunge light still.

MarshaBrady · 16/09/2014 07:51

Loads of over embellished stuff but that's not something I can do, so I skip past. Ditto string colours and dramatic style.

BrandyAlexander · 16/09/2014 09:06

Morning! glad your day went well One!

so I have been so busy that I didn't get the chance to update on what happened with the grey Chloe paraty. ...I placed the order with mytheresa and following day I got a message from them saying that there were inconsistencies in my credit card details therefore for the order to go through I would have to provide documentary evidence that I owned the credit (copy of the card) and proof of identity such as copy of passport or drivers license.Shock

I sent them a note back saying I had received no issues from master card, I had put in my cvv number on the transaction and no f - ing way was I going to provide a third party with the means to defraud me so to cancel the order.

so end result I am paraty - less but at least safe from being defrauded! twatsAngry

shopafrolic · 16/09/2014 09:08

Not sure if this will work trends

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 16/09/2014 09:18

novice how rubbish. Better to be paraty-less than defrauded though. As if you'd give them details like that anyway!

MarshaBrady · 16/09/2014 09:32

Novice how annoying! Big well done on the pitch btw!

Love that Shop thanks

Ok
Eastern bloc -no to first two, third one hmm just but bit ott
Sweater dressing - haha yep the second for the school run Wink
Unleash the animal - not great with animal print
Sixties - second one, not bad
Fairy tales - nope
Fluff and fur - hmm nice Gucci colours but nope
Grey matter - not that but yes to grey
Normcore - that's not normcore! That's Jil Sander
Winter boho - Marant yes, nope to rest

So grey, Marant, and I'm good

QueenCardigan · 16/09/2014 09:44

novice that's awful. Are they a legitimate company?

marsha you're so behind. Now it LFW it's all about what's on trend for SS15 dahl-ling Wink

one glad you had a good day.

dry my iPad does that. It changes commas for exclamation marks Hmm

I'm knackered. I'd forgotten how restless little ones with chickenpox are at night. Thank god for piriton.

MarshaBrady · 16/09/2014 09:46

I am falling behind! I can't get with what's happening for AW, yes I should skip to SS15 Grin

Like the Preen stuff very much (too exxy for me).

And all those flat shoes on the catwalk at Burberry etc, too flat and difficult for me.

Stokey · 16/09/2014 10:13

Good luck with your interview Bettykt

How annoying about your card Novice

Love the trend link Shop. With you on the sweater trousers for the school run Marsha, in east London no-one would bat an eyelid! I love 60s dresses and was on a hunt for a faux fur coat last year - bought about 6, all went back - so feel that is an unfulfilled gap in my wardrobe. Quite like the midi boho dresses too but think you probably need to be tall to carry them off.

Ooh and really like your & Other Stories slippers Dry. Are they comfy?

MarshaBrady · 16/09/2014 10:17

Betty how did I miss that, good luck with the interview!

Stokey I love the idea of a mid boho dress, but not sure it's close enough to my style. Will you do a faux fur this time do you think? Will keep an eye out.

this scarf is very pretty

OneLittleLady · 16/09/2014 10:29

good luck betty hope it goes well Smile

MarshaBrady · 16/09/2014 10:30

Does anyone have size 35 feet?

MarshaBrady · 16/09/2014 10:31

IT35 that is, or smaller

shopafrolic · 16/09/2014 10:41

The feet of pixies she means Grin

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 16/09/2014 10:42

The other size is IT33.5 (as they are small) and at that point my brain can't compute Grin

LinusDKD · 16/09/2014 11:05

My DMIL wears a size 35 and always has trouble finding shoes, especially heels. She is teeny tiny everywhere else too. Not just her feet. She makes me feel like a giant. Wink

Good luck bettyk

dry I can't wait to wear our dress but it's just too hot here at the moment. Your outfit has reminded me I need some new black flats for winter. My old patent Tod's ones are starting to look a bit worn.

novice what bad CS! Why would you give strangers that kind of information? I would complain to their Head Office and tell them they need to change their procedures as this is not acceptable.
