Popped in to Lakeland for a mop the glamour almost went hideously astray in Whistles and nearly bought a sparkly monstrosity for Kylie tonight, then I though "no! MNV jury would say this is an unnecessary and revolting impulse buy, wear something you already have!"

God, I need to get my nude floretes re-heeled. Was wearing them for a class the other day and nearly flew down the stairs on my way to make tea as the heel tips are so worn and slopey now. They are so useful, I wear them for everything.

Novice you're like me today - I so rarely wear anything other than my wedding and engagement ring. I put stuff on and end up removing it as I feel all wrong. Sure hopefully will be able to tell me it comes down to clothing personality.

I'm wearing one of Dp's old watched today, straps a bit dodgy but it's a bit weird as I haven't worn a watch since I was about 13. I don't actually have a watch of my own so it's something I need to get at some point.

Off out to dinner tonight with dh wearing pleather Whistles midi skirt, leopard print heels but am struggling with a top need to go on a wardrobe raid and see what's hiding. I really need a plain silk tee.

I'm so fed up not being able to spend any money, it's 2 months now! When I'm finally able to spend some money I'm going to go crazy ha!

I've a few watches and nice jewellery but I tend to wear my chanel watch, wedding and engagement rings and Tiffany ball earrings during the week, at the weekend or in the evenings I tend to change things about a bit.

Evening all. I've ended my fast day with half a bottle of Sauvignon blanc . Dh is away and I can't relax in the house alone if I haven't had a drink or two. Pathetic I know.

Ive just realised that strictly is on. Claudia is wearing a very bright pink dress and a short fringe. I'm so used to seeing her in black that I can't work out whether it looks good or not

Evening,just got back from dinner with dh, he wanted to try this asian place he was told about, I hate Fusion food , decided to be a good sport and play along, I just enjoyed the desert, drinks were good too. I channeled my inner E Alt and wore leather skinnies black marant jacket and top and my boy bag, got encouraged by amber's lunch outfit and wore red lipstick for the first time in like 3 years, but I blotted it on the drive there, felt too much,

santa no not really...maybe you'll all be able to help. I do really want a blazer to wear with jeans. I'd also like a strappy pair of black heels. Apart from that just a general injection of new things.
I'm thinking I might sign myself up for a session with a personal shopper, probably selfridges in Birmingham. I'm much nearer the London one, but I don't want to have the pressure of having to spend thousands last time I did it there I ended up buying loads of jeans as I didn't like much of what the stylist picked... But tbh I think I was in a bit of a style hole having just given up work and not really knowing what I should wear/do...
I'm also going to go for it big time with beauty treatments as they've all been on hold for awhile... Thinking of doing my own version of "10 years younger" ;) but not yet...

Morning all! Dh and I went out for dinner last night. The champagne, bottle of Sancerre and tokaji seemed a good idea at the time! Plenty of for me this morning I think.

I am not sure how you do it Amber and Santa with the minimal bling! I couldn't go out naked last night, and ended up wearing this Swarovski ring, my big pink blingy watch (it's the one that I wore to the last MU where the watch face is studded with diamonds and pink sapphires and has pink straps - god I am bad at descriptions!) and a swaroski bracelet. Over dinner i was telling dh over my jewelry trauma and he looked at me like I had 3 heads and asked "but you were wearing your engagement ring and that diamond necklace". He got this look ---> in response. He then made a comment that our credit card bills are going up as there are endless shoes, handbags and bling on there. He got another in response. Happy days!!

Gah, posted too soon. novice I agree about feeling naked. I wear my rings and earrings all of the time but I feel a little undressed without my bracelets and/or necklace. Nowadays I also feel naked without my bright pink lipstick. hopefully you should be proud of me

Thanks Stokey v glad to hear about your dd. I would love to go to a 1940s party. I love the era and would love to be able to wear a printed tea dress and carry it off well. Unfortunately I have had a couple of attempts from Oasis which looked stunning on my friend, and erm, not, on me!

Yes he's used to the pink now although he still hates the red. But I've realised anyway that red doesn't fit in with my style personality and I feel much happier in pink.

I think I'd channel my inner dita too if I was doing 1940s. Show us your dress stokey

I'm slightly cheating QueenC as couldn't justify buying something new so am wearing the red dress I wore to my 40th with faux fur jacket and long white gloves. I think with Dita hair and make-up, it should work. DH is going as an Al Capone style gangster.

I've not bought any of the MNV loves either (usually too expensive for me)

My wrist is killing me this morning, really need to go for that x-ray but not today. It's the UKIP party conference here this weekend, much to my disgust, so the side of town with the hospital is going to be heaving and half the roads are shut on the way there so I'm staying in today. I can imagine things might get heated between the supporters and the protest against them that's also planned for today
