Oh yes linus the one with the hood?Grin

LinusDKD · 25/09/2014 21:06

That's the one dry!

Karbea · 25/09/2014 21:18

What are florette'so salad? and jimmys choo? ???...

santamarianovella · 25/09/2014 21:26

I'm just soo Envy of you right now dry why not those green cargo with white tee, and orange bra ,from her music video, love at first sight Wink , god I so wanted to dress like her and miserably failed!

shop you've got plenty of time to think and prepare for it, I know , I made it sound scary Grin,

these are the style alt is wearing now,

I can't believe I got so obsessed with a pair of heels and jeans all day, now I did cook a proper meal from scratch , bathed and put the dcs to bed, and squeezed a bedtime story before resuming my search again, but I find it fascinating how a certain fit and cut totally transforms something ordinary to something extraordinary , and now I can't believe I just quoted 50SOG Grin

karbea florettes LK flats, jimmys are the MNv holy grail boyfriends, linus , shop ,dry are all converters , I haven't tried them personally but they all look fab in them, although its still unclear who started it first, amber ? linus?

LinusDKD · 25/09/2014 21:36

I think it was amber and shop virtually simultaneously who started the Jimmy Love-In on MNV santa

Not sure I like the heel on those kitten heels but I am quite weird about proportions and angles.

DH was frustrated when we were househunting when I discounted a house that was being sold at a 'bargain' price (divorce so had to sell quickly), because the windows offended my sense of symmetry. Grin

The house we ended up buying is not my dream house either (great location and lots of space) but at least the walls are straight and the windows don't stick out at funny angles.

bettykt · 25/09/2014 21:56

Dry surely you have one of these lurking in the back of your wardrobe, Grin failing that a retro retro red number instead

Drywhiteplease · 25/09/2014 22:35

Ooooh Betty, now RA RA s I can do Grin
I feel I need a bit of sparkle.
Florettes in black suede are sold out in my size online Shock Sad sure they'll restock.

For Karbea a guide to MNV language:

Jimmies =Paige jimmy slim boyfriend jean. The most flattering jean known to man.here
Florettes=LK Bennet classic, but not frumpy, court. Goes with anything here
AW=took me a long time to work this out. Alexander Wang.....you're not a true member until you have some AW in your wardrobe that's me out

Anyone care to add to the MNV glossary?

Drywhiteplease · 25/09/2014 22:37

linus I've just been up a ladder for 1/2 hr trying to straighten the chandelier the electrician has put up slightly wonky. Hardly noticeable to anyone but me, but it's bugging me A LOT....OCD? Grin

Karbea · 26/09/2014 07:49

Haha! Thank you ladies!

I need to buy a new foundation this weekend, I've been using double and Giorgio Armani luminous silk, but both are at the bottom of the bottle now... Any recommendations?

shopafrolic · 26/09/2014 09:02

Apologies Karbea for the 'lingo' - I was too lazy to link. Jimmy Choos No such luck!
Dry I would lend you my black feather headdress but you live so far away.....
Morning all! Off to the hygienist for an hour of hideous deep cleaning. Ouch :(

Morning all.

Day of reading for the most part, do have to nip out for a few bits though at some point and have to go for an xray some time in the next week as I'm having quite serious issues with my wrist. Doctor looked at it and could feel the weird movements in it and agreed that it isn't normal for a wrist to do what mine is doing so yay for more tests.

Looks bright but breezy today so need to think about what to wear if I go out. Might go for skinnies, tee, long cardi and my pink boyfriend jacket

AmberNectarine · 26/09/2014 09:39

I think I can claim responsibility for the Jimmies - I did a review feature of Paige jeans on my blog and picked them as my faves. I need to buy a new pair actually as mine are far too big now.

MarshaBrady · 26/09/2014 09:42

I love our common buys. They are all really good.

Have been wearing shearling pistols every day now. So glad I kept them!

AmberNectarine · 26/09/2014 09:43

Ooh I like these - Shopbop normally do a 20% code in Oct, don't they?

OneLittleLady · 26/09/2014 09:56

love those Jimmys Amber they are very you

Wearing my new scarf, it's blue, black and white leopard print. Adds a bit of colour to an otherwise very dark outfit.

BrandyAlexander · 26/09/2014 10:16

Morning all!

Stokey, hope DD is better.Thanks

Dry it's okay, I am OCD about my house. I am right with you!Smile

So, I am celebrating some great work news which means my s&b fund has increased. I was also thinking I should get something special to celebrate, but I just got the Hermes watch and can't think of anything else i desperately want. I might be unwell. Shock

I meant to say, my GAP order arrived! Yes, I am a 13 year old girl. I realised that my no one will know doesn't quite work as my HK does the laundry.Hmm. However, my friend told me that RB do the quilted ballet flats in children's size for £45!!!! I paid £110 for them.Hmm Anyway, I am preparing to show myself up by going to the children's department to look!Blush

I am wearing my Me&Em aubergine ruched dress today with RB suede shoe boots and salmon pink Chloe Marcie which I haven't used for ages. I must be unwell as I walked out of the house with no watch, no ring on right hand, no earrings and no bracelet. I am naked. Or maybe unwell?!

OneLittleLady · 26/09/2014 10:25

novice I buy both children's clothes and shoes too. I am not in the slightest bit ashamed either, it's hardly my fault I'm small enough to fit in them! Besides, the more I save by buying children's items, the more I have to spend! You must be desperately unwell and feel totally naked if you've gone out without bling, I think you ought to check your temperature Wink

BrandyAlexander · 26/09/2014 10:34

Lol!Grin I keep looking forlornly at my right hand.

bettykt · 26/09/2014 13:43

Novice I've bought children's Hunter Wellies before, saved myself a fortune. Do you feel underdressed without your bling?

Karbea · 26/09/2014 14:12

Many years ago when I got my uggs they were children's. Much cheaper! I always try and get children's trainers as well.

libertychick · 26/09/2014 14:37

NO BLING Novice

Quick delurk as I have been working terribly hard Grin. Hope presentation goes really well Marsha - is it today?

So I decided I needed a treat after all the work and have ordered Lace top, Tara Jarmon dress, Hobbs shirt dress and People Tree tea dress. I won't keep them all....

While dress hunting I found this fabulous MbMJ Tuxedo dress - drool. Will have to wait for sales and a 70% off sale at that - Novice would it work on you??? And I also want this Tory Burch beauty

Righto - off to collect my mother from the airport - wish me luck, I am in for a weekend of all the 'women's stuff' my Dad won't listen too Confused. I have stocked up on wine, DH has stocked up on beer... Grin

BTW - Dry great work on the LKB coat.

Karbea the MNV lingo made me laugh - when I get time I'll think of some others

Oh and Flowers for the lovely Sleep who has dealt with some email ranting from irrational me lately...

BrandyAlexander · 26/09/2014 14:40

Thanks for the shortie support!Grin

Betty, yes definitely feel under dressed! I know I sound like a Xmas tree but it's more subtle. I am on my way to pick up the dcs so will have to put something on as soon as I get in!

Who remembers that very stressful time I has last year with the event that involved the actress and the politician and nightmare senior person? Well event is back again. My head is pounding already.Sad lord knows how I will survive the next 6 weeks!

shopafrolic · 26/09/2014 14:59

Oh to wear children's shoes!
Novice just focus on how well it went last time -
Liberty that is some serious destress shopping Grin. Hope you get to chill this weekend and don't have to do all the entertaining
Dry enjoy Kylie
Marsha how did it go?
My appointment with the hygienist this morning to sort my gums out wasn't as painful as feared to my mouth - but it was to my wallet :(
