Grin Linus that is funny. I love wearing heels Out.

Since I pretty much always wear flats or ankle boots at other times.

One lovely brogues, how's college? Is it the third day. Hope it's still good.

I'm pretty sure I'm a spring or summer but haven't done the day.

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2014 18:52

I wear dh's h&m jumpers sometimes. Very comfy!

Drywhiteplease · 17/09/2014 18:57

"Manolos round the house" ....it's so MNV darling Grin

After boiling in my opaques yesterday, I froze in my merino 3/4 green jumper and sock less feet today Sad

I'm having a very good feeling that the perfect leather skirt could be near ladies, a collective crossing of fingers would help. Will keep you posted.

Stokey · 17/09/2014 19:06

Fab boots Marsha

I'm looking the H&M hoody and Manolos look Linus Grin

No fashion news, had a quick look in J Crew and Zara today but was uninspired.

Got home to find the DDs both a bit glum, struggling with school and nursery respectively. I know it's early days but you can't help worrying.

OneLittleLady · 17/09/2014 19:06

it's still good marsha i've not been online as much as I've been pretty wiped out, I'm not used to so much activity! I've certainly been sleeping well!

I too haven't been diagnosed colour wise but think I might be a winter of some kind. My hair is red but it's more of a blue toned red, not a coppery one, the bluer tones suit better than coppery ones. I definitely definitely don't think I'm an autumn though, I do not look good in brown at all and other people have told me that as well so it's not just me! I thought I could be a spring but there's too much pastel in the spring colours and pastels just make me look washed out and ill

linus i won't oust you so long as you agree not to kick me off MNV because I'm wearing star wars pjs Grin

Sleepwhenidie · 17/09/2014 19:07

Hello from a red carpet premiere thingy at The Barbican, Nick Cave film...lots of Aussies Marsha and some great fashion...and some weird fashion too, motorbike goggles on head like sunglasses anyone Confused. Lots of hats. Men interestingly dressed too, which is good, nice change!

OneLittleLady · 17/09/2014 19:09

I am so jealous Sleep I LOVE Nick Cave!!

LinusDKD · 17/09/2014 19:12

Very Envy at your social life sleep

one Star Wars pj's sound just the kind of thing DH would want for his Christmas present

Fingers crossed dry!

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2014 19:14

That sounds fab Sleep! Love stuff like that! Great night for it too.

One Star Wars? you are in. Glad college is going well, sounds like a blast.

Stokey oh no, have they both just started? I hope it gets better quickly.

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2014 19:14

Fingers crossed from me too Dry

OneLittleLady · 17/09/2014 19:35

Oh my god marsha if i could afford that dress, I would definitely buy it!

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2014 19:48

It is pretty awesome, this one is fab too

OneLittleLady · 17/09/2014 20:11

Where is good for skinnies that are at least mid if not high rise but not high waisted? I keep trying various pairs but they are too low in the rise and I just don't want to be flaunting my bum and pants! Nothing too expensive as I am but a poor student after all! Grin

I love the second one too marsha though orange is really not my colour. I'd make an exception for that though

santamarianovella · 17/09/2014 20:22

They look fab marsha but I agree, I expect nice packaging with ribbons.

linus I just love that image, you in manolos and boys hoodie, very paris fashion week, my you are way ahead of the pack!

dry when you find the skirt, we should ask mara to make a piñata cake to mark the occasion Grin

mara, its great that you've finally agreed on a plan, choosing an area that everyone is happy with is virtually impossible, good schools are crucial of course, and I think living in an area with good amenities is very important too, for us it was excellent, the best resturants, hotels, shopping, galleries were within walking distance .so much for the kids to do on weekends we never felt the need to go away on short breaks as weekends were always full with stuff for us to do,

one you even go to bed in style love it!

I got complemented on my outfit today by the delivery guys ,said I look very nice for someone picking up the kids from school, felt nice ,specially as they looked to be in their early 20s, so it must have been genuine Wink
and then it made me think about that other thread, about dressing up for school run, I don't think I was dressed up ,i was wearing marant jacket, jeans, flats , no makeup on, hair was straightened but i usually straighten it daily do you think its a bit too dressed up?

OneLittleLady · 17/09/2014 20:26

santa not too dressed up at all, it's not like you had a full smokey eye and perfectly coiffed hair, it was just straightened like you usually do. I really wouldn't worry about that thread, i think the point of it is about people who go to a great extreme when they are on the school run!

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2014 20:28

No not at all Santa sounds lovely.

I wore my Marant jacket today btw - the light tweed one from Liberty. Colleague said she loved it. Was quite effusive about it actually. I guess it is nice! perhaps because I have finally dumped the horrible Gryphon one

LinusDKD · 17/09/2014 20:42

santa your outfit sounds lovely, not too dressed up at all.

And yes, I am always waaaay ahead of the pack so ahead I am actually back at the end of the coolness scale Grin

one my Leigh skinnies (I can hear you all rolling your eyes at me) are mid-rise.

LinusDKD · 17/09/2014 20:43

GBBO are making éclairs now.... I love éclairs. Not good on a fast day. Might dream of them.

OneLittleLady · 17/09/2014 20:46

linus I'll go and try some of the leighs next week. I'm having no luck with anything i've tried so far so they are worth a look at least. Legs etc are fine it's just the rise on everything i've tried, i don't know if people actually aim to show off their pants or I have a longer body than I thought but everything's just too low for me

Drywhiteplease · 17/09/2014 20:54

Santa haven't read the thread, can imagine how it goes......absolutely ignore any stupid school gates fashion comments. Wear what you love and feel good in. I NEVER go out without make up and hair saddo, have never cared about people thinking I'm over dressed, my primary was quite fashiony anyway. . Your outfit sounds fab.

Sleepwhenidie · 17/09/2014 21:06

Santa your outfit sounds great, honestly, you can't win on the school run, whatever way you choose to dress, I've seen everything bitched about on here Smile

One, Nick Cave is here, about to do a mini gig and q&a session. The film was good, go see it (20,000 Days).

OneLittleLady · 17/09/2014 21:36

OH MY GOD Sleep I am so so Envy

QueenCardigan · 17/09/2014 21:41

That school run thread has given me the rage Grin. As a sahm am I really not allowed to dress up and am expected to wear pjsHmm?
shop nooo, you do autumn colours so well. That orange Stella coat you have looks fab on you as does khaki etc. You'd look shite in those if you were a winter. Sounds exciting with the stylist though.
marsha they are lovely and hopefully very snuggly and warm

I'm brain dead and can't actually remember what anyone else has said. And no, I haven't been drinking!

Drywhiteplease · 17/09/2014 21:58

Ooooh QueenC you're impressive when you're cross Grin. Chill out about the silly buggers on the School Gate thread....Sleep is right.

shopafrolic · 17/09/2014 22:08

Stylist booked for tues so we'll see! I love the process of reviewing things so am excited.
The school gate thing is rubbish. I enjoying dressing up a bit more. Wearing more blazers, accessories etc. I got the most compliments one morning that I had no make up on though, but I think it was because I dressed up more to detract attention from my face! Cerys M was on TV today saying if your hair is a mess and you don't have time for make up then stick on a hat because it looks as though you've made an effort. I may well get a winter hat Smile
