Definitely a 32 leg for you!

Another reason why I love Leighs, the 30 leg is perfect for me!

Right, night night.

shopafrolic · 16/09/2014 22:07

Thanks Linus will have a think whether to go for ripped or no rips....

Hi all
One glad your first day went well and your shoes sound great too.
Marsha v jealous of your shearling lined pistols, that is my idea of shoe heaven. Wise to return jumper and scarf if you are not sure
Shop hope you are feeling better. Great sweatshirt and slippers.
Dry love your AOS slipper shoes, they do have some great shoes don't they?
Novice thats v poor cs although I am sure there is a paraty with your name on it out there!
Mara your cake sounds brill. I am making a garish confetti cake for my niece's 14th birthday tomorrow under dd's instructions.
Soyo the uniqlo shirt is great I love it and have worn it already with slim bf jeans. The quality is very good, esp for the price
I am also fed up of the weather. The mornings are v chilly but don't get a chance to change in the day so am boiling by mid afternoon. I also hate having to keep changing from heating to air con in the car (1st world problems)

maradesbois · 16/09/2014 22:17

Marsha, no, at home. Don't have anywhere to swim in London yet.

maradesbois · 16/09/2014 22:19

At gym near my home that is, not in the grounds of my mansion Smile

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2014 08:03

Ha that would be nice.

Sleepwhenidie · 17/09/2014 09:18

Mara that is so exciting about your decision re location! Anywhere near me? Smile

Marsha I love the sound of the scarf...

shopafrolic · 17/09/2014 09:25

Morning all.
Mara I think Matches code are dependent on spend. I never used to get them when I was just on their mailing list.
Your comment about WIT's party made me LOL - I loved how she 'threw it all together' at the last minute. Hmm

For who asked (was it linus?) these are the brogues I've ordered. They are only showing in the nude and I have ordered blue. Apparently the blue are last years stock and there was only one pair left in my size so local store is going to call me when they have got them so I can go and try on

Sleepwhenidie · 17/09/2014 11:34

They are nice One. I can't do brogues. Not sure why...but they would look like somebody else's feet on the end of my legs Grin

MNV jury, someone on another thread is asking about Hush knitwear-what is sizing and quality like? Anyone have some?

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2014 12:00

Fraid I don't have any Sleep, I like the pjs however!

The pistols are here, I wish I had got them from Matches because the box is grubby and marked Hmm. I find that irritating, might say something a la Shop.

Also do you think the lines down the middle of the shoe are annoying? Can you see them on the pic? I think they all have them for some reason.

Sleepwhenidie · 17/09/2014 12:06

That is irritating about the box Marsha. How do they feel on? I love my normal pistols but have to be very selective with socks, I find lots slide down under my foot for some reason. Not sure if that would be better or worse with the shearling lining Confused.

I have Hush pj's too and love them, but no experience of knitwear.

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2014 12:17

They photograph better from the side.

Here's the side shot.

Sleep yes I'm the same with the socks and normal pistols. Will try on, I photographed first for Vogue of course, priorities and all that. Grin

Sleepwhenidie · 17/09/2014 12:19

but of course!

shopafrolic · 17/09/2014 14:10

Ooooo - love the colour of those. Boo hiss about the box. Worth a call at least. Will be interested to hear how the lined ones fit. Let us know.....

shopafrolic · 17/09/2014 14:12

No Hush knitwear here either - just jammies

LinusDKD · 17/09/2014 14:37

Those boots are lovely marsha! How do you feel in them?

I don't have Hush knitwear per se but the top part of my Hush dresses from last winter are 'knitted' and I would say they are maybe running a bit big.

I am smaller on top than at the bottom though.

shopafrolic · 17/09/2014 14:38

In other news - I met the stylist for a chat today, and she said I could well be a Winter Confused, or at least on the cusp of Autumn / Winter. That could prove interesting for my wardrobe and explain why I can wear black?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 17/09/2014 14:40

Have you seen this Marsha?

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 17/09/2014 14:58

Shop that is lovely! I am in town soon will swing by for a try on.

Your stylist's comment has shifted my world axis and it wasn't even to me Grin. Cusp of winter I can handle.

KG refunded delivery, not as good as Matches

Linus they feel good, very very warm. Will have to wait for cooler weather to wear. But very snug.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/09/2014 15:15

How funny shop I would have said you were a perfect example of an autumn because of how well you suit your khakis and browns. But maybe you're a "deep" autumn or something. I hate reading comments which make me wonder if colour analysis is all bollocks! Grin

Great news on the plan mara! Agree about WIT, nothing beats a homemade cake.

I didn't get a Matches code, but I had one in the spring and used it. I think they might only give them out if you haven't bought in a while?

The pistols look great Marsha and so do the brogues One.

shopafrolic · 17/09/2014 15:21

Ha Marsha! I know. I was explaining to her that I think I can get away with wearing black, and that some jewel colours look ok on me. She asked me what my natural hair colour is (before grey!) and then looked and said "hmm, perhaps you're closer to a winter".
Anyway - I've booked a morning with her next week. She is going to come over, check my colours and then we're going to go through my wardrobe and have a try on, identify gaps, talk style identity, shapes to avoid etc. etc.

Sounds good Shop I'll prepare myself for any change in advance Wink

My-W stuff has gone back, feels good.

LinusDKD · 17/09/2014 18:40

I have never been 'diagnosed' but I think I'm a winter but I think I'm also a borderline case as I can wear ivory and yellow gold.

Lovely brogues one, a bit more dainty than the ones you usually see in the shops.

I have been wearing my Manolos around the house this afternoon, just to get used to them. I love them, can't wait to wear them for a Night early evening on the Town. Grin

LinusDKD · 17/09/2014 18:41

Oh and I bought my H&M teenage boy hoody today and am wearing it now. So snuggly and soft!

Please don't kick me off MNV! Wink
