Here we go!

Have lost 3 lbs! Had an off day on Thursday but made up for it yesterday and will continue today. Skin looking and feeling better. Staying active. Need to improve with fluids.

blondiebonce · 20/09/2014 12:17

Also need mother in law to stop asking how much I weigh and stop stressing me out so much.

enormouse · 20/09/2014 12:53

Well done blondie that's a great achievement. I find I'm better drinking hot water/fruit tea as I sip it slowly and always have a cup next to me.

Another hellish night with gismo who yelled/babbled/would not stfu between 2 am and 7, and DS1 who threw an almighty tantrum to end all tantrums. We ran out of milk this morning and he didn't get his usual bowl of cereal.

I'm going out for a run with Dp looking after both gremlins. W7R1.
I feel like I need space away from them with very loud music. Hopefully, I'll feel better when I come back.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/09/2014 16:51

Today I bought a jumper, some gloves and a long cardigan ( all nice)

But I had a Greggs Ploughmans Roll (and flipping lovely it was too) but my gallbladder will give me merry hell later Hmm

I was hungry, didn't want to have sweet things or a coffee/cake.

The gallbladder and I part company next month (hurrah) so the little blighter can't run my life for me (though I know I still have to exercise caution)

Thinks about nice cardigans,'n'jumpers Smile

EdithDickie · 20/09/2014 17:43

Well done blondie Smile

Hope that you feel better for the run enormouse, you must be exhausted.

EdithDickie · 20/09/2014 21:17

Just went for a run - 20 minutes of hill training and it was knackering! I had better have a toned rear for Christmas!!!

Also, just one cup of tea today so low caffeine.

Ate big lunch at in-laws today (which really highlights how waaay too big my portion sizes used to be, it seemed like a massive plate of food but not so long ago would have seemed quite moderate!)

Going to just have some cereal for tea and then do a few arm weights before bed.

Hope that everyone is having a good weekend.

I was going to complain about my gremlin but she wasn't quite as bad as yours enomouse. She went down at 6.30 (after much crying) woke at 8.30 and I gave up and went to bed with her at 9.30. She starts in her cot and when she wakes we co-sleep. She was hysterical. I don't know if it's still teething or what. She's been quite good before these teeth came up. Think she's overtired as well.

OP posts:
enormouse · 21/09/2014 09:39

Have the teeth broken through yet helga? I think you just have to roll with it. Have you tried teething granules/powder?

I would love to be able to co sleep with gismo but he is awful to share a bed with. DS1 would just snuggle up and fall asleep eventually. But gismo rolls and crawls all over the place, I'm worried he'll fling himself out of bed. He also shouts, gets on top of you and pulls hair/nose/lips. He does not stay still ever or shut the fuck up. He's only 8 months old.

It was another bad night, I admitted defeat and got up a while ago. I'm having a bucket of sweet tea whilst gismo shouts for 'DA DA' from his jumperoo.

OrangeyTulips · 22/09/2014 12:05

enormous I'm in awe of your running progress. Tried to get running once but would really have to go very tentatively. Can only really run for 30 second bursts so would have to build up to c25k. Went swimming this morning with D's. Have lost 2 kgs since end of august. Doing better with skincare and looking presentable which has given me a boost.

OrangeyTulips · 22/09/2014 12:07

Edith well done on finishing c25k programme!

The tooth is through enormouse but it's still bothering her. Last night was slightly better but then she woke at 6. She had a decent morning nap though.

OP posts:
Helgathehairy · 22/09/2014 12:31

Weighed myself this morning. I'd only managed 1 fast day last week and I'd pretty much main lined sugar. Wasn't expecting much but I was down 1.8 pounds. Really motivated me to keep it up.

I HAVE to start shred or something though. I'm really flabby, no muscle tone at all. I was actually in pretty good shape before/while I was pregnant as I'd gotten a dog that I walked a lot but since I had DD I don't get to do as much.

OP posts:
enormouse · 22/09/2014 12:39

It sounds like she's on the up helga, fx the worst of its over.

orangey Blush. I can't believe my progress either. I wouldn't describe myself as sporty at all but I've started getting a real buzz from running and want to keep going. I've signed up for a few 10k runs next year and my local half marathon. I'm also looking tentatively at the Belfast marathon (and wimping out).

I can't recommend c25k enough, you can repeat weeks and move at your own pace. And the c25k thread bunch are awesome.

EdithDickie · 22/09/2014 21:30

Congratulations on the weight loss Smile

Been eating too much today (and yesterday!), think pre menstrual. Have been for a run tonight and keeping it under control in the main.

hey ladies been awol for a bit due to DS's teething gripes, but am now back.

Went to aerobics today and they let babies attend too. the trainer was really patient with DS and even picked him up and danced with him while I was attempting some tummy crunches.

fallen off the green tea train so need to substitute a normal tea for a green one again. And need to use a hair mask this week again.

DH was really nice last friday after a horrible day of screaming and hip hugging by DS, and set me a bath with chocolate and wine on the window sill. I used my face mask and by Sunday my skin looked really nice and radiant. I must must must use all face masks in my cupboard, I feel a bit like a hoarder sometimes. I have all these products but never really get the time to use them, I just grab and go. speaking of which I read on another hair thread that pantene is spawn of the devil, and that's one of the ones I've been using recently Sad

anyway, onwards and upwards ladies Smile

blondiebonce · 23/09/2014 18:25

I use v05 but why is Pantene so bad???

Walked 2.5 miles with pram today. The rest of my plans? Just don't ask ha

TeaAddict235 · 23/09/2014 20:43

don't know blondie, on another thread lots of people in the hairdressing industry were echoing that they're not allowed to use them at work due to the damaging effects. Thing is though, my hair loves the stuff Grin

enormouse · 24/09/2014 15:18

I think it just depends on what your hair likes. I used to use tresemme but after DS1 I found it too drying on my hair.

My hairdresser suggested herbal essences and its wonderful on my hair, especially the honey one. The only issue I have with it is the photo of swishy haired Nicole sherzinger. I have to face her away from me in the shower.

I do use vo5 for styling. I think it's the matte styling wax and the casual control messy spray I use.

tea that sounds wonderful. I'm still in teething hell. I don't think I've slept more than 6 hours in the past 3 days.

sending you both some peace for tonight enormouse and helga, just a few more days and those gnashers will be out and in action. Have you tried Bikkie pegs? they're like tough weetabix pegs that they gnaw on and it helps the teeth to cut. I got mine from Boots, they're about £2 for 6 in a box.

EdithDickie · 25/09/2014 01:22

You poor things Sad

Hope that you are getting some sleep tonight.
