Thankfully we had much better sleep last night.

Blow dried my hair this morning. I don't usually bother but it can be fairly unmanageable

Glad that you had some sleep.

I weighed myself this morning and have lost 2lbs. That's 22lbs this year Grin

I am really pleased Grin

EdithDickie · 25/09/2014 19:15

I have, however, chewed my finger nails off... Oops

OrangeyTulips · 26/09/2014 07:43

well done EdithSmile

it's Friday! I always feel as though I am invincible on a Friday. I magically remember to use a hair or face mask, drink a green tea, drink a glass of plain water. Then come Sunday it's all forgotten Sad
anywho, today I drank only one builders sized brew of tea at breakfast and then drunk squash or water thereafter. I drank a green tea in the afternoon. I used a cream facial wash before bed and have just applied a face cream and oil to my stretchmarked tummy. tomorrow I should get an hour to myself in the bath to deep condition hair and use facial mask....hopefully!

now off to read in bed.

We're into the 80s!!!!

I admit I've slacked off - a lot but am going to get back to it again.

Thanks Orangey Smile

Saw a friend today that I haven't seen for a while and she said she could definitely see the difference which was nice to hear. I even feel like my face has changed shape a bit.

Friday was cake day at work - raising money for MacMillan. I was very enthusiastic! Also went for roast lunch at the local pub then a party in the evening with lots of gin, cider and a buffet. Then cheesy chips on the way home! Soooo much fatness!

Did park run this morning though and back on the food wagon again. I am even thinking I will drive for work do next week so I can save the calories and cash and get a decent sleep. This seems a very grown up thought to have!

Can't believe it's now less than 90 days to go! Probably ought to think about starting some shopping really....

EdithDickie · 27/09/2014 18:00

Ps - Helga you sound like you have had a bit of a hard time lately wrt not much sleep so don't be hard on yourself. Hope that you feel more able to be back "on it" soon.

It's October already! How the heck....?!

Not weighed myself this week, been eating everything in sight in a pre-menstrual carb frenzy....

But.... looking on the bright side..... I am just about to get up to go swimming before work.

I've had to stop doing fast days. I'm just too tired and have no patience when I do. Not good when DD is determined to break me!

OrangeyTulips · 01/10/2014 13:11

I've stopped weighing myself. Read about a trainer called Joe Wicks who has tips on Instagram. He suggests this and eating more carbs on exercise days and more protein on rest days. Also advocates using weights to build muscle which in turn burns more fat.

I think you have to go on what feels best for now Helga. That's not giving up, rather it's rolling with the blows. Eat strategically if you need to Smile

Not weighing feels more comfortable to me provided I do workout and see results from that!

EdithDickie · 01/10/2014 14:13

Sounds good Thursday, it can be such a trigger. I am not weighing this week as pre menstrual, eating stacks and will be massively demotivated if I have gained. So going to give it a couple of weeks and then see.

Helga, sounds sensible, no point feeling crap.

I swam this morning before work. Hopefully going to run tonight or tomorrow.

Hang in there ladies

EdithDickie · 01/10/2014 14:14

Orangey not Thursday... Sorry, losing the plot!

OrangeyTulips · 01/10/2014 14:18

I like the alliteration of ThursdayTulips Grin

OrangeyTulips · 01/10/2014 14:21

my problem is that there is no weight number that I'd be happy with - think it's best for me to get to normal bmi and then just get fit and strong not delicate ala Stella Macartney

Helgathehairy · 01/10/2014 16:06

I like the idea of not weighing. When I'm on a diet I weigh every day and when I'm not I don't weigh at all.

I totally agree orangy that there's no number I'd feel happy with. I'm 5 foot 3 and seem to have a small frame. Im the lightest I have been in years but still flabby.

Oops, sorry. Fell off the thread for a bit. It's been somewhat hectic at home with DS1 starting preschool and Dp starting his MA. Hope everyone's well.

helga have you seen the eatbetterers thread? It might be right up your street. It's more about enjoying and eating good healthy food as opposed to fasting or being on a strict diet. I lurk on it occasionally.

I have the opposite problem wrt weight and food. I'm fairly petite (5ft2, size 6/8). If I'm not careful I can veer towards looking frail. I'd like to be strong and healthy and fit. I'm on the last week of C25k so I'm getting there fitness wise.
