Here we go!

You're doing well swimming 3 times per week Jemima. If I manage swimming once before work I think I'm heroic.Grin

appleblossom23 · 03/11/2014 15:21

Today I planned so much and instead I have had two children off school poorly so I haven't done anything apart from little jobs in the house in between tending to the invalids! Might try and do a Tracy DVD later if I have any umph left Hmm

JemimaMuddledUp · 03/11/2014 18:54

If I swim first thing in the morning it is done before I wake up enough to really think about it. Works for me!

Todays's Ta Da
Swam before work and walked around 3 miles
Kept to calorie limit - including resisting chocolate cake in the office
Ordered two Charles Tyrwhitt shirts after seeing the thread on S&B
Sorted out and ironed clothes for my interview tomorrow (internal promotion to cover maternity leave, would be really good for my career to get it).

Hoping for an early night tonight but I think I'll be too worried to sleep well. As well as my job interview tomorrow DS1 has a music theory grade exam - double stress!

KiaOraOAotearoa · 03/11/2014 19:03

Hi Jemima!!!! Fab you're still doing the swimming in the morning! And well done for ta-dahs, both you and Orange :)
I had a productive day (shopping). I found a skirt that would work with anything, but it would especially work with...bear with my stupid explanation: a t-shirt/top that wraps around the waist and then you can tie in a bow. Makes sense? I found a grey faux pearls necklace in a cluster in Tesco of all places that works beautifully with other stuff I have.
Plus, I have had my eyebrows threaded. So all good here:)
About to tidy up and then get ready for bed....

appleblossom23 · 04/11/2014 14:17

I have about 45 minutes free time. Don't know whether to do some beautifying (dye eyelashes or some such) or just lie on the sofa with my eyes shut enjoying the quiet......

blondiebonce · 04/11/2014 18:49

Totally lost track and fell off the healthy wagon! Good going everyone! Must start again!!!

JemimaMuddledUp · 04/11/2014 21:07

Majorly stressful day today - job interview for me and music theory grade exam for DS1. Now it is just a matter of waiting for both of us...

I may have fallen off the wagon and eaten a mini trifle in a moment of stress. But it was very small and I have walked loads today.

Went shopping to distract myself while DS1 was in his exam. Bought a top in the Dorothy Perkins sale to wear when I go out with the girls from work in a couple of weeks time. It one of those boxy shaped tops in quite thick material, no ide what you call them! It is cream and the material is quite textured. I thought I would wear it with jeans and a biker jacket with a statement necklace and heels.

It sounds like you've had a productive day Kia. Apple - I would probably lie down in a darkened room if I found myself with a free 45 mins, but beautifying might be better long term.

TeaAddict235 · 04/11/2014 21:50

not been around for ages but managed to have a soaking bath, face mask and hair mask on Friday. been washing face with cold water in the mornings too. Been eating a lot of toast too, not so great Sad

Hope the job interview went well for you Jemima. Hi to Kia, apple and

Jace and anyone else I have left out. Thinking of you and your family Helga.

I have a workout pencilled in for 1.45 to 2.15 today before I pick up ds from school. Will have to be in the house as a delivery is coming so might lift a few weights and do some stretching. Have been great at the beautifying bit but not so good at the exercise aims. Still I'm getting there. Only 49 days to go and the John Lewis ad for Christmas has come out. Did remind me again of the Mumsnetter on a train with a woman trying to get a penguinguillemot to the zoo. Lovely ad but I don't think the jeans I have in storage will fit just yet!

appleblossom23 · 07/11/2014 14:41

Hope the workout went well orangey. A few days ago I posted about beautifying/lying down. Reader, I lay down. Mental days at work plus all 3 children ill at some point over last two weeks plus (minor detail really!) me being a bit poorly with the cold thing they had and I thought half an hour uninterrupted peace was more important than anything else in the world.

I've been a bit glum about the beautifying/exercise and not being able to do much cos of Life, but actually it occurred to me that I'm doing quite well, as I assume we all are, doing what we can. I did Tracy's mat workout (which I can highly recommend) yesterday, then had a bath, scrubbed myself all over and used lots of body lotion afterwards. Felt very calm and at peace with myself. Got all mucked up by manic shift that didn't finish until nearly 11 last night, leading to me eating toast in bed at midnight and feeling all worn out today, but still! I can bring it back from the brink! Have done no beautifying yet today but will go and have vitamins and a massive drink of water now, and that's positive.

Hope you're all ok xx

47 days to go

workout went fine but I am stiff!

OrangeyTulips · 08/11/2014 09:00

apple I'm finding it hard to find the time and the energy for things but figure as long as I manage some things then I'm headed in the right direction.

appleblossom23 · 09/11/2014 09:56

Ta dah's for yesterday:

Vitamins and fish oils
Pretty decent food
Did a bit of exercise
Dealt with my roots
Dyed my eyelashes
Drank my 2L water

Felt really lousy so I feel quite proud of myself! Loads better today after a good sleep last night.

Is anyone doing anything hyper organised about actual Christmas (you know, presents, food, house, decorations etc)? I need to get my arse in gear!!

OrangeyTulips · 09/11/2014 11:20

don't hate me apple but all my present shopping is done. In fairness while I live in the UK all family and friends live abroad so I have to be organised. Grin Used a play Mobil code that I found on Mumsnet this week to bulk buy kids' presents.

TeaAddict235 · 09/11/2014 16:04

well done apple, all tiny steps lead to a change, which is always good.

I finally managed to detangle my bird's nest last night after a bath while DS1 slept.

As the days draw in, I somehow feel as though I can achieve less in them, odd isn't it?

OrangeyTulips · 09/11/2014 22:18

That's a pretty impressive list apple. I have switched my huge vitamins for chewy ones which are easier to take. I have pulled something in my back and so I'm sitting gingerly with a glass of wine!

How's your back orangey? I accidentally drank half a lovely bottle of red last night. Some work crap getting on top of me, but happily I slept brilliantly and feel good today! Ta dah's:

Did some exercise
Have taken vits and the gigantic fish oil capsule
Have eaten v well - wasn't hungry so just had an apple for breakfast then I've had really yummy sweet chilli hummus on ryvitas for lunch. And some cake, but I shared it with a friend and it's good for the soul.

Can't actually think of anything else beautifying that I've done but I'm just off to clean the bathroom and I may beautify later, in clean splendour Grin

appleblossom23 · 11/11/2014 14:22

Ps thanks teaaddict. Baby steps are very positive aren't they?
