Here we go!

OP posts:
OrangeyTulips · 11/11/2014 17:34

Thanks for asking apple. I still can't do much and have to take painkillers. It is getting better though and tomorrow I'll chance the short walk to the school for the 3pm pickup. I've never had back pain before so it's a real eye-opener. I think carrying extra kilos doesn't help so have been very careful with food as do need to lose weight.

well done on your ta-dahs.

Back feeling better. Doing NHS back exercises which are helping.

42 days to go

Have switched to wine gum style vitamins - a revelation! Back is getting better but core and back strength now at the top of my to do list.

Hope you all have a good day.Smile

Coumarin · 14/11/2014 06:05

I'm late to the party but would like to join in. Place marking so I can read the links in this and the last thread.

Exercise will be out for me as I'm poorly but can do everything else.

Clearly I need to put 'get more/better quality sleep' on the top of the list.

appleblossom23 · 14/11/2014 06:23

Morning welcome coumarin, you got a list yet?

Yesterday, rotten day overall, but did drink lots of water, no booze and went for a run. Today's plans....

Do Tracy's mat DVD
Drink lots of water again - think I had 2.5L yesterday! Woo hoo!
Eat good food
Vitamins and fish oil
Body brush
Body lotion after my shower
Do my fingernails cos they've gone rubbish again.

First need more coffee.....

Coumarin · 15/11/2014 22:24

I don't have my list yet as I want to read the other threads first but basically I want to get back to having at least 5 fruit and veg and no refined sugar, along with the grooming stuff that I'll do a list for,

Until I make a list, today's ta-das are...

2 litres of water
Vitamins
Files nails and painted with nail envy.
Taken red polish off toes and cut.
Applied Nail Envy to toes.
Moisturised hands
Used cuticle oil
De-furred top lip
Plucked stray brow hairs
Used EL night repair serum
Put Rapid brow on eyebrows.

I always oil cleanse, tone and moisturise so I won't list that every time. Same with shaving legs and pits.

I've had a poor day food wise. Only three portions of fruit and veg. Some choc too but it was high quality dark stuff so telling myself it was for anti-oxidant purposes. Wink

Hope everyone's doing ok. Come back and post or I'll get lonely. Brew

Coumarin · 15/11/2014 22:27

^ oh and I want to use or wear something special everyday. I read a brilliant column by Sali Hughes about not saving things for best so putting it into practice.

Today I wore my diamond earrings that I bought and wore for my wedding day. They've been sat in a box pretty much ever since. Not anymore. Smile

will post when the chaos of breakfast is over Coumarin! You won't be alone.Grin

lisam78 · 16/11/2014 09:41

Hello! I've had a month long lapse, but started again yesterday, and managed the following:

Circuits class
Deep conditioning treatment for hair
Body brushing, followed by exfoliating and moisturising
Double cleansed, acid tone, then face mask
Mani/pedi
Blow dried and straightened hair
Plucked eyebrows
Drank lots of water
Had two slices of birthday cake :(

I'll try to keep this up, although not eating the cake!

appleblossom23 · 16/11/2014 11:59

Hi

Coumarin I meant to post yesterday but it was a manic one that didn't end till midnight and then I fell into bed, sorry!! A few ta dahs for yesterday tho:

Good breakfast plus vitamins and fish oil (does anyone else take these? Are they actually miraculous for your skin/mood/brain? They leave a vile fishy taste and I'm willing to put up with it but only if I end up radiant and fabulous!)
Rest of the day was a disaster food wise - there were sweeties at work Blush

I used coconut oil as a deep conditioner and today my hair feels fab. Liking this.

Urm.. Think that might be it for Saturday. Today I have done some exercise and drunk some water. I'll put some of that lovely dove body lotion on after I've had a shower.

Happy fabulousizing Grin

OrangeyTulips · 16/11/2014 21:21

Like the word 'fabulousizing' apple as 'grooming' just sounds seedy these days.

My back is now better but I also managed to have really bad skin this week so I looked like a teenager but moved like an arthritic old lady.

Back to normal now. Have lost 1 kilo so happy with that. Sorted through make-up and am back to fabulousizing this week Wink

Hope Helga and family okay.

Welcome Coumarin and other newbies.

Did try fish oils and my skin was more moisturised but cannot stomach horrible vitamins any more. I am happy to have my chewy vitamins and have not missed a dose.

Have a great week everyone!

OrangeyTulips · 16/11/2014 21:22

Hi lisam78 Smile

Coumarin · 16/11/2014 23:01

Hi everyone Wine

I still haven't rtft's Blush But...

2l water
7 fruit and veg. Smile
Body scrub- a Soap&Glory one that smells of maple syrup.
Tons of body moisturiser
Hand moisturiser and cuticle oil
Whitening toothpaste and flossed
Rapidbrow on eyebrows
ELANR serum under usual moisturiser.
Plus usual cleansing routine.

Think that's it. My skin isn't looking great after last week's sugar fest, plus I feel rough today. So I'm off to bed before midnight, which is unheard of, in the hope I'll look less vampire-like in the morning.

I did take fish oils for a while but I felt like they made my skin worse. Which is weird as people like Caroline Hirons rave about it making you glow. I definitely didn't see that. Maybe it was the kind I took or just a coincidence.

appleblossom23 · 18/11/2014 16:24

37 days?! Help....

Continuing ill children scuppering any fabulousizing sleep which is a pain on all fronts.

Did another fast yesterday, again really pretty easy, didn't feel hungry and just ate with kids at tea time. I need to get into the habit of doing 2 a week and not accidentally eating cake for breakfast....

Took vitamins and fish oil today (didn't yesterday as a) thought the fish oil might be sneakily full of calories and scupper my 500 aim and b) they really do taste vile and so sometimes I need to eat something strong tasting to distract me) I bought a months supply so I'll take them until they're all gone - just checked, there's 18 left - and if I don't see a massive improvement I'll revert to flaxseed oil which doesn't taste disgusting.

Epic fail on the water today - knackered so drinking coffee to stay awake. Oops. Will try for a litre before bed.

Haven't done any exercise today, also due to being whacked. Might remedy that when kids are fed.

How's everyone doing?

Coumarin · 18/11/2014 17:39

Apple Which ones are you taking? I've had some from H&B and Tesco and neither tasted of anything or smelt. Unless I had cod breath and no one told me. Grin

Yesterday- 3l water, 8 fruit n veg, no sugar.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. Forgot how much my hair loves this so going to order some more.
So much body moisturiser that I couldn't get dressed for half an hour.
Hair straightened/waved.
Hands moisturised and cuticles oiled.
Usual cleansing routine.
Vitamins.

I'm making a promise to go to bed before 12am for this week, 11pm next week and then 10pm the week after. If I put it here I'll have to do it.

My Not Saving Things for Best thing was finally lighting the Jo Malone candle I was given for my birthday 6 months ago. It's lovely. Smile

Hope you've all had a good start to the week.

Coumarin · 18/11/2014 17:41

^ oops forgot today. Not great tbh. Plenty of water and vitamins and no sugar but that's about it. I'll try to do something before bed.

EdithDickie · 18/11/2014 20:52

Have been awol for a while. Great to read about everyone's progress.

I have lost a bit more weight. Now 10 st 8. Just 1 lb off the target I set for myself.

Still running. Including a massive "outside comfort zone" run with ultra fit work colleagues (genuinely quite traumatic but survived and it's now to be a weekly arrangement Shock)

Keeping off the crisps, can't actually remember the last I had.

Drinking less booze and eating less crap. Still a sucker for sweet stuff, especially when tired but, looking on the bright side, much less compulsive than before.

Body lotion every day has become a habit Smile

Have discovered coconut oil cleansing and my skin looks and feels really nice for it.

All in all pretty positive Grin

Thanks for the kick off.

OrangeyTulips · 18/11/2014 22:57

Getting an early night. Fabulousizing going well but exercise is going slowly. Not sure I'll fit the jeans in DecemberSmile but have better habits and outlook.

OrangeyTulips · 18/11/2014 22:57

Gosh Edith take a bow!

EdithDickie · 19/11/2014 03:03

Thanks Orangey Smile

Glad that the fabulousizing (brilliant word!) is going well and hope that you had some good sleep.
