Thank you! My plans are extensive... I could really do with being fabulous by Christmas. I've got an idea of a list but need to have a think about what's achievable.

Helgathehairy · 30/10/2014 10:58

I want to apologise for my absence.

DD has been referred to paedrition and needs some X-rays and my father has had a suspected stroke and is in hospital.

I'm just trying to keep my head above water right now.

56 days to go?! Yikes...

Ok so I have compiled my list based on the 20 things of the princessing threads (have been doing a lot of lurking over past few weeks!)

It seems loads, but I'm aiming high...

  1. 2 litres of water a day
  2. Body brush daily
  3. Try double cleansing
  4. Try linseed oil on eyelashes (looked at serums recommended on here but they are ££££!!!)
  5. Manicure twice a week
  6. Vitamins daily
  7. Exercise: have currently got a bit of a thing about Tracy Anderson so I'll just stick with that. Did the 30 day shred and it just gave me massive thighs and sore knees Hmm
  8. One early (9pm) night a week as am shit at going to bed but also knackered all the time
  9. Regular hair removal
10. Dove body lotion every day. I've just discovered this stuff and it's brilliant. Has an aha in it so it makes skin really soft. Just need to actually use it every day instead of looking fondly at the bottle 11. I'm experimenting with 5:2 Done the first week, really wasn't that bad Smile will keep going till Christmas 12. Have a definitive sort of my wardrobe 13. Hair oil 14. Cut down on wine and coffee 15. Read for half an hour every night instead of fannying round on phone 16. Do pelvic floor exercises every day. Lots of them. 17. Eva Fraser facial exercises. Have had the book for ages and still haven't progressed past the beginner ones! I haven't decided about 18, 19 and 20 but more things may come to me.

KiaOraOAotearoa · 31/10/2014 21:56

Helga, hugs!
Apple, that list sounds good!
Orangey, thank you for the countdown!

appleblossom23 · 31/10/2014 23:03

Hmm ......... Bit of an epic fail today. I drank a lot of water but pretty much every else went by the wayside. And even a lot of water can't compete with half a bottle of wine (finishing it off. Would have been rude to leave it) quite a lot of coffee and an inhuman amount of Halloween sweeties (saving the children's teeth. I am an angel.)

Tomorrow is another day. How's everyone else getting on?

OrangeyTulips · 31/10/2014 23:36

also ate Halloween sweets but have been taking vitamins, exercising and water drinking. Epic household savings depletion due to unforseen financial demands ( think international accountants and solicitors) means that I definitely need to fit into the 5 pairs of jeans and 2 jackets due for recycling on Jan 1 - I need the clothes! On the other hand watching our household budget means watching food portions too Grin .

OrangeyTulips · 31/10/2014 23:37

that's not a criticism of apple - wine wasting is awfulGrin .

KiaOraOAotearoa · 02/11/2014 08:03

Good morning.
My run went to pot this morning, it is raining quite heavily and the wind is howling and....promise to shred instead and go for a run tomorrow !
I still have no scales, but things fit a tiiiiny bit better. Might be all in my head though.
Of course it all went to pot during half term and visiting relatives and massive family meals. One thing I refuse to get dragged in during these meals is talking calories and exercise and just how much weight blah blah blah. We have teens and young ones around. So I just sat a good example and ate lots.
The plan today is a nice bath, a facemask, sparkly toenails and just relaxing. (I'm halfway through writing the christmas cards. And halfway through an online course with freelearn, very interesting!)
Oh, and not forgetting the ritual of end of term:do your homework, child!!!
Hope you all have a relaxing Sunday!

JaceLancs · 02/11/2014 08:15

Would like to join in!
I'm doing my own version of paleo and going for 2-3 litres of water a day - lost 12lb so far
I've had a major wardrobe overhaul and am doing curly girl
Think that's about all I can cope with for now
Oh wait I forgot - I am restricting drinking to Friday and Saturday nights only

appleblossom23 · 02/11/2014 08:57

Hi everyone

Yesterday I accidentally fell face first into the vat of Halloween sweets again. And some of them (a lot of them) fell in my mouth... On the upside I had no wine left (using up was very sensible Grin ) and I bought and took some fish oil. I got the boots highest strength stuff after I saw some pictures of me with DS when he was a few months old - he was rubbish at sleeping so I should have looked dreadful but my skin looked amazing. All glowy. I don't remember feeling glowy, I recall feeling exhausted but I'm wondering if the glowy skin thing is because I was taking fish oil when I was pregnant and feeding him. I just thought I'd do a little experiment.

So plans for my day: do one of Tracy's DVDs, have a long bath and exfoliate, epilate my legs, do my finger and toenails, poss put some coconut oil on my hair before I wash it. Oh, and as someone up thread said, do the end of half term cajole/plead re homework. And do ironing. And find packed lunch bags..... Best get started! Happy grooming everyone!

appleblossom23 · 02/11/2014 09:00

Ps sorry to not name people but am on phone and v difficult not to accidentally delete everything with scrolling up and down....

Helga how's your family? Hope everyone well or at least stable xxxx

Welcome to the new person and congrats on the 12lbs. That's prob all I want to lose - need to stop eating sweeties Blush

OrangeyTulips · 02/11/2014 09:11

am trying some beautifying today but ds here and dh away so can't fit in a bath during the day and too busy at night.. Pretty much the same ideas as apple and kia - face mask etc. Have been better about portions and have been doing weights. I have no upper body strength it seemsHmm .

KiaOraOAotearoa · 02/11/2014 19:44

I did manage to go for a run this morning, felt all better for it.
About to sparkle the toes. And do an aspirin facemask.
Tomorrow I'm off to have my eyebrows and moustache threaded.
Picked clothes for tomorrow, tube black skirt, grey cashmere jumper, black tights, grey boots, red huge beads, red and black scarf.
Having hand cream pots everywhere helps.
On Friday I am off to buy my Christmas present to myself- I am making an advent calendar with various bits: a good book, a box of chocolates, a new lipstick, a cashmere hat, a hot water bottle, new slippers are the main presents. For the rest, just little bits and bobs, see what I find.
DD has a lego one this year, I'll look for a chocolate one for the family as well.
Right. Have a good week :)

appleblossom23 · 02/11/2014 21:06

Ah man.... Big long post just disappeared. Bugger. I was asking after everyone and listing my achievements. In short: well done to the beautifiers, I have done some things off my list. Going to go and lie in bath cursing small size of phone screen and my big fat fingers.

Angry Angry Angry

JemimaMuddledUp · 02/11/2014 21:34

Can I join this thread? I was on the other Christmas one but it has gone very quiet.

Had my hair cut and my legs and eyebrows waxed yesterday. This means that my appointment in 6/7 weeks time will be timed nicely for Christmas. Will probably get my nails done then too.

I've lost 7lbs through calorie counting. I'd like to lose another 7lbs if I can. I've been swimming three times a week before work, which is getting harder as the mornings get darker!

My skin is feeling dryer now as the office heating is on. Am using hot cloth cleanser and a richer moisturiser morning and night on my face. Moisturising body as often as I remember. Hand cream in my handbag, on my desk and next to every sink to remind me to apply.

Our work Christmas do has been booked but I have no idea what to wear. I do have my Christmas jumper for Christmas Day though Grin
