There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

Nice amber! I have been tempted myself but I am saving up for a Chanel bag and I'm trying to be good. Grin

Can we expect a blog post soon?

Fedupnagging · 25/08/2014 20:51

Nice YSL jacket Marsha. Liked the black leather skirt that was on the same page too.

I used to wear trench coats in the olden days before dc's; I still like the look but not on me anymore. I prefer jackets these days as find them less bulky.

Grin Amber, that's some impulse buy!

Ordered these yesterday. Hope I like them as have no chance of owning the real deal any time soon!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/08/2014 21:09

Niiiice fedup! And Amber :)

Drywhiteplease · 25/08/2014 21:32

Lovely Fedup

santamarianovella · 25/08/2014 21:57

Nice one amber , I was waiting for your report, and got all involved in the bag thread, I completely forgot about it! Live unwrapping please,

fedup beautiful,

very chic baby she is really rocking the cool Scandi look at 2 years old Grin , kanken bag and all,

OneLittleLady · 25/08/2014 21:59

Lovely purchases, both Amber and fedup

My Dcat has taken to pulling up the non slip mat in the shower, I have no idea why, just every so often I hear the rubber bits pop 'up'

Topazandpearl · 25/08/2014 22:02

Great purchases Amber and Fedup!

I love my trench from LKBennett last year and have already started wearing it this year. I really like the one claret one that Linus linked.

One I like the duffel coats, especially the green one.

Much as I like summer weather, I prefer AW clothes, and I like rediscovering my wardrobe. Also, after a summer of casual clothes, it is nice to get dressed up for work.

Welcome back Dry, it sounds like a great holiday.

libertychick · 25/08/2014 22:06

Well done Amber. Did that bag thread instill the urge?!

Lovely sandals fedup really wish I could do heels.

Jigsaw dress is a return unfortunately. Doesn't look right on me at all. Waist in the wrong place. Medium might be better but not sure. Was so bored at soft play today I ordered a DVF dress from the Outnet. I may cancel it in the morning though. I did a wardrobe clear out tonight and I really need some work trousers and tops rather than an impractical silk dress (will link when I am next on laptop).

I only have one pair of work suitable trousers while I have 6 pairs of jeans and 5 other casual trousers. Given that I work full time this is a slight imbalance :).

Topazandpearl · 25/08/2014 22:16

Shame about the Jigsaw dress Liberty. It does sound like you need more work-suitable clothes although a DVF dress could be a good investment.....

santamarianovella · 25/08/2014 22:18

Return the dvf! You know its the sensable thing to do! Smile

libertychick · 25/08/2014 23:18

This is the dress I ordered It will be cancelled/returned - it looked nicer on the small phone screen than it does here Blush.

And I have 2 pairs of work suitable trousers but one is a Me and Em thick jersey pair so while they look fine they lose shape really quickly - usually by 2pm Grin so they irritate the hell out of me. I went a bit mad this evening on the clear out and ditched several work staples that I have been using because they cost a lot or that were just ok. A few other items only survived because I need something to wear. I think I will just buy one or two things though and limp through until the sales and then restock.

AmberNectarine · 26/08/2014 07:04

Oh liberty, I love that!

LinusDKD · 26/08/2014 07:36

Lovely amber! I'm usually not a fan of Gucci bags but I've always had a soft spot for the Disco.

liberty I like that dress but I think cpw will be a bit of an issue.

Rubbish weather here, so I am wearing grey Leigh skinnies, white Asos tee and Hush knitted jacket. Will definitely wear my Choo bikers to go out today!

MarshaBrady · 26/08/2014 07:41

Liberty I love that dress for you, I can see you looking fab in it.

Amber great disco!

Linus the Choos sound great.

santamarianovella · 26/08/2014 09:17

Morning!
Gorgeous disco amber,

liberty the DVf is beautiful but not practical for now, I would get instead, a dress, and maybe trousers or skirt that works with what you have.

Fedupnagging · 26/08/2014 09:22

Morning all,

Great dress Lib but better to use the money for something you will actually wear. I loved the jigsaw dress but think you returned it which is a shame.

That's a lovely trench Topaz

Great bag Amber, love a navy bag. I have just found the new bag thread - oh my, there are some beauties being posted

shopafrolic · 26/08/2014 09:26

Morning all!
lib I love that dress for you but it sounds as though you need work trousers more urgently?
Amber very pretty - was it a bargain or did you buy full price?
Rotten weather here too Linus - making me miserable
Marsha I keep looking at the Duffy but I can't afford it so I've stuck it on my wish list for now. No doubt it will sell out before I can raise funds
Exciting times at Shoptowers. We are starting to look at getting puppy! Lakeland terrier - we just need to do a bit more research and then find a breeder.
DH will still get a working cocker too - but an older, trained one. So we might be back to having a dog in the family before Christmas which would be fab.

I have just cancelled the DVF (sob). It had been dispatched so they said it could either be 1) delivered anyway and then returned or 2) they would ask DHL to send straight back to them. I went for option 2 as way too much risk of keeping it otherwise. But realistically I would only wear it on a night out and I have very few of those.

Santa yes I was thinking a dress and a skirt or trousers. I'd like a dress in a strong colour like a colbalt blue or a burgundy like the DVF or else in a print. I have a plain navy dress and a plain black. Trousers in charcoal grey would be most versatile. Ideally would like to get both for less than £250 so I can get the R&B boots as well though for the perfect pair of trousers I would go to £150 I think as they would get worn at least once a week and possibly more often when it's cold. I'll have to get to real shops for the trouser hunt as with my disproportionate hips and thighs getting a good fit can be tricky.

Good news about new dogs Shop.
Love the disco Amber. It looks fantastic in navy.

LinusDKD · 26/08/2014 10:53

one I know you don't want to look like the Michelin man but this has a belt and looks nice and warm.

OneLittleLady · 26/08/2014 10:58

I quite like that linus it's better than the black one linked because it's belted

LinusDKD · 26/08/2014 11:03

And this looked nice IRL and it has a detachable quilted lining but I'm not sure if that would be warm enough in winter.

OneLittleLady · 26/08/2014 11:18

Not so sure about the h&m one, it looks quite thin and I do really feel the cold. Speaking of cold, I also need some decent gloves, maybe leather ones with cashmere/merino lining?

MarshaBrady · 26/08/2014 12:02

Was anyone keen on the glitter Anya Valorie clutch half price?

Drywhiteplease · 26/08/2014 12:47

It was me Marsha remember the colour I said?
