Thanks for the cardie tips QueenC. I think the Boden one will go back - for £80 odd quid it should really be love.

MrPop I have some Gap ultra skinny black trousers which are very nice. They come just above the ankle bone (on me & I'm 5ft 3). If you're getting them, size down at least one size.

MrPop · 02/10/2014 10:52

Thanks Stokey they look nice - I am 5'7" though - guess tall would work better.

I highly recommend the hush harems - I think I have mentioned them a million times on this thread so apologies for repeating myself. They come up v big though - I am wearing S/M and take a size 14 on my bottom half.

Stokey · 02/10/2014 11:07

I really want some of the Hush harems - good to know the sizing, I'd definitely need XS then.

They have 10% off everything in October (code OCTEVENT) but say they will be doing more promos so am holding my nerve and hoping I can get more off.

Stokey · 02/10/2014 13:58

And on the Hush front, do we think this is a winter blue? Maybe a bit teal?

SorrelForbes · 02/10/2014 17:29

Too teal for me but then I'm a parrott jewel Winter.

SorrelForbes · 02/10/2014 17:30

Ummm, parot even!

SorrelForbes · 03/10/2014 10:37

Good morning winters.

I've just ordered this Uniqlo shirt. I wanted Navy but they'd sold out in the M. Good price though.

ItIsntJustAPhase · 03/10/2014 19:16

Hullo all, Jewel winter here, NC regular.

fooogle · 04/10/2014 07:37

sorrel, interested to know how you like the silk shirt... I've got one I can't decide if I should keep from an order (black)...bought before the offer!
Did already wear a stripy Breton type top from there in grey and black which is a lovely weight.

MrPop · 04/10/2014 11:45

I think it is too teal as well Stokey

Love those silk shirts - I have a black polka dot one from uniqlo.

Properly cold here today! To pop out I wore black cords, black and (off*) white flannel shirt, black fur gilet and grey boots. I was freezing!

*Can't decide if this bugs me or not!

SorrelForbes · 04/10/2014 12:47

A friend had her colour day yesterday and was diagnosed as an Autumn. I just got back from helping her do a massive warrobe cull (so satisfying!).

I'm going to spend the rest of the day putting lots of very expensive dresses and shoes on eBay for her and in return I've bagged lots of non-Autum goodies including an Osprey clutch, a Banana Republic skirt and a Kaliko LBD. Yey for friends Grin

Good to get freebies Sorrel.

Having trouble thinking what to wear now it feels cold Sad. I def' am not good at bearing skin. Was enjoying wearing my work shirts/blouses, 7/8ths and pointy flats combo with a jacket but not sure I can stand the cold feet! Do you winters wear boots and skinny trousers? Wondering if I need pop socks?!
I ordered two uniqlo Heattech vests the other day to try and layer up. They come in a silly sealed bag though so fear if I don't like them I will not be able to send them back. Anyone go for similar thermal type tops?

I asked a friend to buy me a Mac Russian Red in duty free so looking forward to trying that. I am mostly just wearing no lippy at all though Confused, feel a bit overdone with it on again...

How are you all winters?

SorrelForbes · 06/10/2014 13:07

It is indeed! I meant to say that she did chuck out a lot of things in winter colours and it's now all on eBay. PM me if you're a size 3 shoe / size 8-10 in clothes and I'll send you a link.

I'm freezing as I can't work out how to make the CH come on Blush. It's a rented house so I've logged a call for someone to come and have a look at the boiler tomorrow.

When it's really cold I'll probably wear nude tights under trousers and ankle boots. Not terribly fashionable but snug!

MrPop · 06/10/2014 15:35

I'm a boots / closed shoes (like brogues) and socks wearer in the winter. I have quite a few pointed flats and slipper shoes but find the time to wear them is very minimal.

QueenCardigan · 06/10/2014 16:02

It's definitely colder isn't it although just wore my ballet flats on the school run. I think it's time for boots for the morning school run though.

I've just ordered this blouse for nights out

Lovely colour QC but alas the wrap wouldn't work on my chest.

I've gone and done my usual trick of falling in love with a dress I can't have! It's the Elie Saab green one from the SS12 collection. I want it for a ball in December but even if I could find it anywhere it would be so out of my price range Grin.

fooogle · 06/10/2014 21:19

Do you wear boots with skirts mrpop or trousers as well? Think I just can't get head round skinny trousers and boots... My knee highs are brown and bit dates I reckon!...
That's a lovely dress sorrel but yep, think it'd cost a kidney or two? Can you find a copy do you think...?
Worn black and navy/indigo blue today which I liked...

QueenCardigan · 06/10/2014 21:38

I adore elie Saab. I'd have a cobalt one.

SorrelForbes · 06/10/2014 21:40

I may have browsed the web obsessively today for a copy. I found one but it's from China and I'm worried about being scammed.

My Uniqlo collarless shirt arrived today. It's ok. It gapes a tiny bit around the second button but nothing that anyone else will notice (I hope). I think it'll be useful and it was a good price so I'm keeping it but I'd rather have had the navy than the black tbh.

SorrelForbes · 06/10/2014 21:44

QueenCardigan I concur. If I can find somewhere that makes a copy I think I'll get it done in cobalt. Royal blue is a ** at 100% and I get the most compliments when wearing blue (especially that Azul colour from Mango which is a good match for Shade 10).

MrPop · 07/10/2014 09:39

Fooogle I wear ankle boots with trousers. I do have some knee high boots but would wear them with skirts / dresses and tights. Rarely wear them though, as a SAHM, my wardrobe is v casual atm.

Lovely dress Sorrel

Stokey · 07/10/2014 09:52

Beautiful dress Sorrell

I tend to wear either skirt and tights with boots or flats and trousers with ankle boots in the winter. I also get freezing feet and couldn't rock the trousers no socks heels look - I'd freeze. Today I'm in a navy pleated skirt, white top and red v-neck with tights and brogues. I have some knee-length (brown -bought pre-analysis) boots but wear then with mini skirts.

MrPop I have been wanting to buy slippers or pointy shoes for weeks but have now realised the time is over. I'm now thinking about these loafers for work and these trainers for play.

SorrelForbes · 07/10/2014 10:30

Those loafers are lovely Stokey

QueenCardigan · 08/10/2014 10:55

I've ordered another couple of going out tops but since uploading iOS 8 on my iPad I'm having problems cutting and pasting. I'll do it when I have more patience!

Today I'm wearing jeans, mid grey blouse and fushia cardi.

sorell don't know whether you've ever looked at my fantasy pin board but there are some gorgeouse elie saabs pinned to it!
