Continuing. From here some of us may have jetted off to far flung foreign parts, but we're still friendly, fabulous even in the heat wave and full of frivolous fashion talk. Come and join us Smile

What a great night out Novice, I love Nobu but have only been with work clients

Your holiday sounds magnifique Shop and hope you're indulging in some afternoon teas Sleep.

I saw an advert for this blue M&S dress today which could be worth a try.

A girl sitting opposite me in the tube this morning was wearing a full skirt, over the knee, with a world map on it - a bit like this one but more turquoise - it looked fab.

Topazandpearl · 30/07/2014 10:42

You sound very organised Liberty, well done. Hope the essay is going well.

Enjoy the holiday Shop, sounds great.

Hope you feel better novice but it sounds like the night was worth it.

You are doing well with the weather Dry. This part of the north has turned cooler and greyer. Your "dressed-down" outfit sounds lovely.

Good luck for the BBQ Queen, hope the weather stays good.

I keep losing links so bear with me as I post my most recent purchases separately.

Thanks to fedup's recommendation, I have orderd the ghd air with diffuser. On the basis that my ghd straighteners are so much better than any others I have tried, I hope they will be worth the extra cost. I have been following Liberty's advice for a week now and have had lots of compliments Smile.

Topazandpearl · 30/07/2014 10:45

I have also ordered this red skirt which could be useful for work. It has a black border down the side and I can see it with black opaques, ankle boots, tshirt and biker.

Topazandpearl · 30/07/2014 10:50

I ordered these shoes which could go with lots. I think I mentioned before that I struggle to keep ballet flats on so this type of shape can be a good alternative.

Btw quidco are currently giving 20% cash back on Atterley Road purchases (and there is an extra 10% off sale prices there too). That was what reeled me in!

MarshaBrady · 30/07/2014 10:55

It's cooler here too, back to looking at flights. Ok my next post on this will be when I have booked!

Very nice Topaz

libertychick · 30/07/2014 11:09

Love those shoes Topaz and let me know how you get on with the GHD dryer, I am thinking about getting a new hairdryer. Glad the hair regime is working, it's so nice to just embrace the curls rather than trying to beat them into submission all the time.

Stokey I think that world map skirt was in Anthropolgie last year. I wish I bought it. Love the colour of that M&S dress.

Great outfit Dry. Today I am in my yellow BR skirt, white T, long navy Gap cotton cardi and black ballet pumps. Gold necklace with a green, blue and gold heart shape Murano glass pendant.

I bought navy Le Pliage last week on the spur of the moment as my work bag was completely overstuffed and I was worried the handles would break and already I am wondering how I ever coped without one - what a fantastic bag! Looks good, light and holds so much.

QueenC I am soooo ready for A/W. Almost everything I bought in the summer sales is for AW. There are a few other things I would like but I am really going to try and hold out for the sales. As I said the only thing that would really make a difference is a navy skirt. Good luck with the BBQ tomorrow, I remember you feeling a bit nervous about it last year - how are you this year?

MarshaBrady · 30/07/2014 11:25

Good bag Liberty

Mara I know, I think you said where you will be / work, different ball game to me Grin I can get to Farringdon for eg in 16 minutes. but that was the job I walked from! Still the train journey was the bomb.

QueenC good luck for the bbq. Do you have to do the food? Sounds like a big thing. Mango dress sounds nice.

A/W I prefer to wait for sales these days, things are so ££ at full price. But maybe a jumper pre-sale or outnet.

MarshaBrady · 30/07/2014 11:26

Blimey retract on bomb. I mean it was so fast I couldn't believe it.

libertychick · 30/07/2014 11:30

Grin at Marsha, I made a comment about 'letterbombing' at a meeting recently meaning we should really be in people's faces about an issue and I got some very strange looks. One of my colleagues said afterwards that the fact I said it with my Irish accent made it worse Confused

MarshaBrady · 30/07/2014 11:33

Arf Liberty but Confused on the Irish thing! That's a bit much! On a similar note I googled how to make meth the other day after watching Breaking Bad as I was so surprised at how complicated it looked. Took me a while to build up to it, in case there was some sort of watch on people googling how to make meth.

Stokey · 30/07/2014 11:37

I quite like Does my bum look 40 too on the blog front Annie. Though I do wonder who these women (Kat & WIT) have sitting around the house that can take glam photos of them every day .

Good luck with holiday search Marsha, I love a Spanish island in the summer or of course La Bella Italia.

Like the red skirt Topaz

and YY to the Pliage Liberty, so handy for everything.

santamarianovella · 30/07/2014 11:45

liberty wow! Your tips on how to buy a property should be published! And you would've pulled out your hair if you were with us when we ere house hunting! Grin, we started with a list of "requirements" but ended up buying a house completely the opposite of what we thought the ideal house to us should be,
shop sounds fab, enjoy the rest of the hols,

dry enjoy the picnic,

queen I wear hoodies all the time,my go to one is a Nike.

marsha count me in AW, but I'm starting soon! Like next week soon as some of the stuff I like are starting to sell out,

MarshaBrady · 30/07/2014 11:55

Shop meant to say your holiday sounds fabulous! not sure how that dropped off my post

Santa yes, I love A/W, that first crisp day and it all changes.

Stokey looking at Italy right now. I'm so bad at deciding! But need to get a move on.

QueenCardigan · 30/07/2014 15:31

I ordered this hoodie in blue and it's been dispatched already. I did look at nike but couldn't find a colour that I liked.

Yes, we do the food for the BBQ but ask people to bring puddings. Dh sorts out the meat and I sort out the salads. I'm feeling quite excited about tomorrow but it may rain which will stress me out if everyone has to be in the house.

LinusDKD · 30/07/2014 18:27

Evening!

I have given up on trying to catch up, too much has been written.

I think I need to say Happy Birthday to a few people: marsha liberty and santa. Sorry if I have missed out anyone... annie?

The weather is horrible and we're all suffering from cabin fever, especially the DC.

I went into H&M today to have a look at their new A/W stuff but nothing really tempted me.

For lovers of the colour mustard they had a nice mustard sweater and I also saw that they had the full midi skirt I have in black and liberty ? in red in a lovely light taupe colour. I would have tried it on but taupe is not my colour unfortunately.

libert your card arrived today and the prezzie! Thank you so much! It was a very thoughtful thing to do and such a coincidence as my yellow Jiya bracelet has broken and now I have an identical replacement. Smile

In a completely different price bracket, I also saw a lovely IM Etoile dress and had to think of santa immediately.

I am very much looking forward to A/W and have to make a list of things I 'need'. Grin

LinusDKD · 30/07/2014 18:28

this is the taupe skirt and I just saw they also have it in teal online. If I see that in the shops I might be very tempted to buy it as I love teal.

LinusDKD · 30/07/2014 18:33

dress for santa

OneLittleLady · 30/07/2014 18:43

well, DP has found somewhere to live in London and he moves on Saturday. I'm really not ready for it, I feel so utterly torn about it Sad

LinusDKD · 30/07/2014 18:57

Oh one (((hugs)))!

QueenCardigan · 30/07/2014 19:42

Just popping in to say that my kids are driving me mad. I need Wine but it's a fast day.

one will respond properly later but in the meantime have a hug.

maradesbois · 30/07/2014 19:44

Bonnes vacances Shop or laboutique!

Dry I can't picture you in distressed denim, sewing up the rips maybe, but outfit sounds fab, hope you all enjoyed the picnic.

Topaz love your sparkly shoes.

One ah, don't worry. I am kind of in same boat as you. We make sure that every weekend is spent together and so far so good. Pm me if you want to chat about it further.

Liberty nice bag, I've had that one in the past it's really useful. you should set up a new business as a home finder. I have decided to put everything down in writing re priorities, pros & cons of each area etc. Am old school for my lists and love buying stationary Got this gorgeous leather-bound notebook in tk maxx today so ready to crack on with the task!

Santa my dsis is already tearing her hair out with us. Today I went off on a tangent and decided we could maybe live in a smallish flat in central London and have a house by the sea somewhere chic and not to far away for weekends and she was just aargh about not being practical.

shopafrolic · 30/07/2014 19:53

One a huge hug for you.
I visited the Longchamp store today and bought an orange Le Pliage. Here are my feet!

MNV vol 43
shopafrolic · 30/07/2014 19:55

Sorry Marsha Grin
I wore the fab coral Mango linen dress today Thanks Linus - perfect in this heat. We walked past Sandro, Hermes, CdeC etc today but no shopping other than Longchamp as too tricky with DS and buddy in tow. Was nearly upsold to a Pliage en Cuir, such beautiful soft leather but DH would have killed me!

OneLittleLady · 30/07/2014 20:07

thansk everyone. I know long term, it's absolutely the best move for both of us, I just don't feel ready to live alone for what feels like forever. My mind is driving me mad dreaming up allsorts of crazy situations and how everything could all go wrong. I'd trust DP with my life, he really is the rock that holds me on planet earth and I don't feel strong enough to not have him here all the time. I know I have to get over this and I know the obstacles are all in my mind. I have to find the strength my Mum always told me I had hiding somewhere
