Continuing. From here some of us may have jetted off to far flung foreign parts, but we're still friendly, fabulous even in the heat wave and full of frivolous fashion talk. Come and join us Smile

gorgeous coat

MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 09:58

Arf I love the difference between catwalk and static model front shot. One flowing, other large black lampshade + tent.

OneLittleLady · 27/07/2014 09:59

That is rather tent like QueenC but beautiful coat

MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 10:00

Top of my list for AW is a navy peacoat. Damn that could be it!

maradesbois · 27/07/2014 10:02

Morning,

Liberty I think ballet flats are such an established classic that will never be out, think chanel ballerines, but that pointy flats are very now so have maybe usurped them a bit this year. Pointy flats seem a good alternative to heels for workwear. I personally love round-toed ones though and would never be put off buying so say go for it!

Weather a bit cooler here today, have settled on red gap skinny khakis with navy tee, gigis and navy goyard tote.

Fedup have a great holiday.

maradesbois · 27/07/2014 10:06

Queenc the Valentino looks very burqaesque! Gorgeous peacoat though.

MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 10:06

Ballet flats are like skinnies, people keep saying they are out but they will always be in there. When NaP stops putting skinnies and ballet flats on the new in list then I'd say they were out.

Have a great holiday Fedup!

Drywhiteplease · 27/07/2014 10:26

Have a great time Fedup... Was so lovely meeting you at MU . Can't wait to see what you buy.Smile

Ok. Last night.
I was a tad over dressed. But felt v sexy so sod it. Summer dinner parties are difficult to call style wise. You can go for the BBQ look and feel underdressed or full on glam party with heels , and feel a bit over done, ESP when negotiating stone steps and gravel. Still I'd rather be over dressed....always. Think it was more of a "little dress with flats" do.
No headache.....I remembered my rules for once,; no mixing of colours and loads of water. DH, on the other hand went nuts and hit the port, you can imagine the state of him today silly sod Grin

Morning all!

Have a great holiday Shop and FedUp! Sleep you're off soon at you? Who else is off soon?

Sleep, bet you looked greatSmile

I am well impressed with Grumpy and Shop packing so early. I think that's a great idea, I might actually try and do the same for a change instead of stressing out on the dayBlush

I have had a really relaxing weekend so far, which has been an antidote to a busy week. Normally my Julys are quiet as the City starts shutting down for the summer. Not this year! Dh is doing a gazillion deals, I have got some on and also bidding for 4 big projects simultaneously.

On the flats debate. I completely agree the ballet flats are too classic to be "dated". I have both pointy and round toed. I think the round ones just suit me better so I will be sticking with that!

We are on holiday in just 3 weeks time so I need to have a think in whether I have any last minute buys I want to do. Probably more for dd, who I think needs vests as it will be v hot.

BrandyAlexander · 27/07/2014 10:40

Aargh, I meant Dry not Sleep, though I am sure Sleep looked great last night too!Grin

QueenCardigan · 27/07/2014 10:41

Woohoo, we're off to the beach for the day!

libertychick · 27/07/2014 11:34

Thanks for all the ballet flat feedback. I think I will get the R&B ones (although it will take me a week or two to psyche myself up enough to spend that much on ballet flats Smile) Not sure why I find spending money on shoes so hard....

Hope everyone has a good Sunday - I am essay writing (sigh) although I am going to take DD to the park soon for a break...

Drywhiteplease · 27/07/2014 12:52

Liberty you won't regret it. They are so comfy and still look new after a year.

I love round toed ballet flats, they are definitely a classic. Pointy toed ones look nice but I can find them uncomfortable sometimes so usually go for round toe. I don't think you'll regret getting them Liberty

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/07/2014 13:15

fedup so excited for you, have a great time. don't forget my Vegas tips Grin

I have the J Crew navy peacoat and it is lovely.

libertychick · 27/07/2014 16:26

Studying is costing me a fortune - keep looking at clothes/pin as a distraction. Have just ordered this Maxmara skirt Smile

MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 16:41

Liberty that is lovely. And true too, I am doing a bit of work and just saw your tartan skirt pin and thought I must go on the thread and say you are making me look forward to AW Grin

MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 16:45

Blair I've heard good things about the J Crew peacoat, must check it out.

libertychick · 27/07/2014 16:53

That tartan skirt is very tempting isn't it? Have you tried on the Rag and Bone skinnies again Marsha? Are they keepers?

MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 17:09

Liberty I'm not sure about them, the Paige ones, I thought they would be all over deep indigo but there is a slight fading in places - on purpose. They are sitting in the Matches box with the return slip. Will probably send them back tomorrow.

I would like to find some good ones. All over, very dark indigo, stretchy mid to high waist, skinny but not thin. And would prefer a big discount.

Oh and a pencil skirt (still!) and a navy peacoat. Plus some jumpers, would be fab.

MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 17:10

The tshirt that is fab though. Ah that's it, that was Rag&Bone. I love it. Very long, nice material, very pleased and a good price, wish they did more than navy.

santamarianovella · 27/07/2014 17:14

hellllllllo ! And greetings from the other side,

I'm all settled, I was planing on spending a few days with my parents and then go to Germany to unpack and settle everything else, but a mini crisis meant i had to move straight there, all is resolved now,and I'm all unpacked, , and the place looks decent.it is super hot in here and I'm melting,

we are going out tomorrow evening for my birthday, nothing fancy, as we are taking the dcs too, but I hope the cake is good, I haven't eaten much lately, and lost 2kg, so planing in eating my weight back in chocolate cake, thank god I bought this dress, which I will wear with YSL paris heels, I was planing on wearing Stella M dress, but its going to be too hot tomorrow for long sleeves,

I've been reading the article by McQueen lover in the daily mail, i recommend that you all read it, McQueen really despised victoria beckham, and got really upset when he saw her wearing his skirt, and when she started her label said "what the f does she know about fashion she is a singer, and she can't even sing!" And it appears he threw a potato at madonna Grin Grin Grin, that man is my hero, he was so talented, but had lots of issues,Poor thing, there will be an exhibition next year at the v&a showcasing his designs, I'm so coming to london to see it!

shop hope you have a fab time, and hope ds enjoyed his flight, and as we say you get a beginners luck first time travelling with dcs, so I hope it went smoothly, Wink

fedup have an amazing time on your hols, and safe travels,

lib i don't think ballet flats will ever be out of fashion, I love them ,and can't imagine not wearing ballet flats, and even in the unlikely event that they are out,I will still continue to wear them,

Enjoy your day at the beach queen

Kisses to everyone I didn't mention,

libertychick · 27/07/2014 17:21

Sorry, label mix up Marsha - shame the jeans are not right. Perfect jeans are so hard to find.

Glad to hear you are settled (almost) Santa. Well done! Hope you have a great evening tomorrow. That dress is fantastic - perfect for this weather. Happy birthday Cake, Wine Flowers

MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 17:25

Liberty I am limping through this bit of work think it's the weather, soz I sounded like label mix up mattered it doesn't Grin. Btw I feel a bit better knowing you are doing some study today too. I need a weekend where I don't have any work to do.

Santa happy birthday! Cake [fizz] Welcome to the other side! Love that dress very much. Bet you awesome in it too.

MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 17:27

Look awesome.

See! Can barely write.
