Continuing. From here some of us may have jetted off to far flung foreign parts, but we're still friendly, fabulous even in the heat wave and full of frivolous fashion talk. Come and join us Smile

Morning all! Lovely break here in Bournemouth, just wish I was feeling better. Raging sore throat, nothing is touching it :(
No style news, I've been living in GAP khakis, J Crew tees and my J Crew camo sweatshirt or my Orange Whistles one. Lots of paddling in the sea, loads of ice cream and yummy seafood. The hotel is brilliantly located a few minutes walk from the beach so DS is a very happy boy? DH is working all day and into the evening today so we're going to the shops and then the Oceanarium. Have good days all.

QueenCardigan · 19/08/2014 09:06

shop I love Bournemouth. The beaches round there are just gorgeous.

topaz thanks for the recommendations. They look great. It's definitely without dc. We go away every year and are totally treating ourselves this year as it'll be 10years. Staying in a v nice hotel.

Chilly but sunny here. Am optimistically packing shorts for next week. Once the dc are back at school though I shall be putting my high summer stuff away and getting out the long sleeved tops.

Fedupnagging · 19/08/2014 09:36

Queen I totally fell for your forecast-imagine my disappointment when I heard the real forecast earlier! A weekend in Edinburgh sounds great and the restaurants Topaz linked definitely need a visit.

Bettykt hope you had a good weekend. Sad to wearing jeans.

Topaz, what an exciting time for your ds - but a little sad for you I guess. Hope it's not too painful going back to work tomorrow!

Shop, I love the sound of just pottering about at the seaside with a small ds. Lots of quality time and fun-so enjoy.

Am not very stylish at all today - black Nike yoga pants and a voluminous pink Sandwich top. Comfort over style for ironing and cleaning windows! just need to step away from mn to get started

MarshaBrady · 19/08/2014 10:30

Morning lovely voguettes.

I'm trying to eek the last bit of sun by lying in the sun on a lounger thing. Chilly when there's cloud, great when not.

I feel I haven't fully utilised the new bikini this summer. Need to rectify!

libertychick · 19/08/2014 11:30

Shock at Marsha in a bikini. I am wearing skinnies, a long sleeve white T, layered under short sleeve grey marl sweater and I am wearing socks! Are we really in the same city???

MarshaBrady · 19/08/2014 12:02

Liberty I know, I gave up Grin

Have skinnies, t and cardi on now!

MarshaBrady · 19/08/2014 12:36

Mooching around just in on Matches.

I can imagine QueenC looking amazing in this dress. here (bit exxy, but don;t mind that!)

QueenCardigan · 19/08/2014 13:10

Ooh gorgeous marsha (btw,I'm glad you put some clothes on you mad woman, it's freezing!).

Sorry fedup Grin. I'm still wishful thinking though....

MarshaBrady · 19/08/2014 13:21

I know it's pretty cold Blush

Fedupnagging · 19/08/2014 13:31

Marsha glad you are now appropriately dressed Grin. It's fecking freezing here and just started to rain.

I love that D&G dress and yes, think it would suit Queen. Way out of my price range Sad. Need to win the lottery or get a better job

QueenCardigan · 19/08/2014 14:08

fedup I also would need to win the lottery or get a job . I've also promised dh that if we ever win the lottery that the only frivolous purchase I shall make will be a Chanel bag!

bettykt · 19/08/2014 14:08

I like your sweater Liberty was very tempted until I saw hand wash, it would lay at the bottom of the laundry basket for ages Blush

Bikini Marsha brrr, glad your wrapped up now Grin lovely dress you linked btw, I don't really do lace but that is gorgeous.

I'm dressed for autumn, grey skinnies, grey vest with a white short sleeved v neck t on top am at home dc have a friend over, I'm hiding downstairs Grin

MarshaBrady · 19/08/2014 14:10

Who / what colouring can do taupe in the general scheme of things do you think? I'm guessing not me.

MarshaBrady · 19/08/2014 14:13

Or is it blush. This colour.

MNV vol 43
LinusDKD · 19/08/2014 14:19

Looks like a colour santa could do, not me unless it's quite icy.

MarshaBrady · 19/08/2014 14:41

Thanks Linus yes you're right. Have left it behind. I looked wrong in that colour. Santa would look fab.

Betty me too re lace bit it is lovely, lottery win required.

LinusDKD · 19/08/2014 14:58

That is indeed a gorgeous lace dress. I think technically it is called the "Sicilian Widow Look" Wink

I just found out I will be in London for a couple of nights in September so I am trying not to shop until then.

Am I a saddo that the first shop on my to-do list is Niketown? Grin

Seriously, I don't recognise myself anymore.

QueenCardigan · 19/08/2014 16:01

After ordering tracksuit bottoms for next week (let's face it, I'm not going to be wearing shorts am I?) I also ordered this top. You may remember I bought the short sleeved version in the spring and have worn it loads.

Topazandpearl · 19/08/2014 22:22

That dress is gorgeous Marsha.

I like your top Queen, I can imagine you will wear it a lot.

I am pleased with my purchases which include this jacket and trousers. I haven't bought from Next for a while and am really impressed with the quality. I think I will be able to mix and match as well as wear them together.

You are right fedup, I do feel a little sad that DS is passing this milestone. But overwhelming that is feeling happy for him (and proud!) that he has done so well and is embarking on the career that he has chosen. I will be looking forward to hearing all about it from him.

OneLittleLady · 19/08/2014 22:30

Love the jacket toapz I have one thats almost identical in shape but is in green and black tartan. Reminds me that I havent actually worn it yet and I think it's still got tags on it Blush better get that worn hadn't I!

LinusDKD · 20/08/2014 07:33

Morning!

Lovely jacket topaz and great top queenc!

I am wearing my TS tile print skinnies again, I really think they are my best buy of the summer.

Gutted I dithered over the pink ones and then they sold out. And I saw the black version when I was in London and they really didn't look nice so I didn't even try them on.

Anyone seen any nice grey ankle boots? I had a look but maybe it's a bit too early in the season as I can't find any I like.

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2014 07:36

Morning!

Linus what type would you like flat or with heels?

I am officially on the look out for a navy peacoat and shearling lined boots. The temperature this morning has kick started this feeling.

LinusDKD · 20/08/2014 07:47

Not sure marsha, if heeled nothing too high. A heel like the Jalouses would be perfect.

And the grey has to be a 'cool' grey (a bit blue-ish) Smile

I have seen some nice styles but the grey has been too brown or greige for me.

I can sense this is going to be another MNV Mission Impossible. Grin

Was it queenc or mrsR that was looking for grey boots last winter? I don't think she found them in the end.

Will keep an eye out for your stuff, love a navy peacoat myself but not sure the style would suit me (being a shortarse)

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2014 07:59

Gotcha ok going to have a look later. Love new lists, new season Grin

bettykt · 20/08/2014 08:37

Linus have you seen these? grey boots
