Continuing. From here some of us may have jetted off to far flung foreign parts, but we're still friendly, fabulous even in the heat wave and full of frivolous fashion talk. Come and join us Smile

It was navy boots I was looking for linus so I'm happy that I finally have some. There does seem to be a lot more grey and navy boots around this year to previous years. Do the jalouse not come in grey?

QueenCardigan · 20/08/2014 08:43

Are these too brown grey?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/08/2014 09:20

Morning!

Did anyone else get "invited" to the Victoria Beckham wardrobe sale on the outnet? Everything is sooo expensive! And there is a range of sizes on there from 4-18 - how?!? I thought it was clothes from her actual wardrobe, lol.

Linus will keep an eye out but agree we aren't in full boot (and coat) season yet. I love looking at boots and coats.

Lovely workwear buys Topaz, am impressed with your efficiency!

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2014 10:36

Blair I think I did but didn't look, a charity thing. Her photo looked univiting Grin

Fedupnagging · 20/08/2014 11:03

Nope, no invite here

Will be on the lookout for grey boots for you Linus.

I got some navy knee high wedge boots from TK a few years ago. They are the softest leather and I always get compliments when I wear them.

Topaz nice jacket and trousers, great colour. I don't buy much from Next either but their petite trousers are usually a good fit for me.

Am wearing black BR crops with a FC pink and white slouchy Breton today, with leopard print supergas.

shopafrolic · 20/08/2014 12:16

Hello all! I'm home - and feeling shite so retiring to bed.
A quick rant before I go
WIT - sort your formatting and links out - your blog drives me mental
DMBL40 - WTF (Or I suppose I should say good blagging) getting all those Joules and Hush freebies in the last few days.

In other news - must try on that dress I bought (still in box) - how long do Outnet allow for returns again?
Hope everyone is lovely and fabulous as always.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/08/2014 12:39

Welcome back shop :) I think the outnet is a month or so for returns.

DMBL40's style has changed a lot since I first started reading, not for the better. I don't think Joules and Hush are really her at all but I suppose it's all about the freebies. It's not even subtle either, even if she does put them at the bottom of her lists.

Hope you feel better soon x

shopafrolic · 20/08/2014 12:44

Oh and I dithered on this bag and missed out. Now that it's gone I want it even more. :(
Thanks Blair - most of the time I only skim read DMBL40 but I read more because I thought she was in Norfolk (turns out Suffolk). I was just a bit gobsmacked. I suppose at least she's declaring her freebies Hmm

LinusDKD · 20/08/2014 12:48

Phew, just did the Shred. Thank God it's only 20 minutes, I couldn't take more.

Thanks bettykt and queenc I like the style of those boots but I'm not sure it's the right grey. The Jalouses might be ok but I'd have to see it IRL. (And I already have black and navy ones Blush )

QueenCardigan · 20/08/2014 12:59

shop don't get me started on dmbl. I don't know why I even bother with it anymore as it's just lists of stuff and she bugs me by buying so much. I didn't even understand the bit about joules contacting her to offer her warm clothes. Bet she never wears them again but I guess joules have got good publicity out of it so they don't care. I'd like to see a blog where they wear their stuff a bit more and show different ways of wearing stuff rather than constantly buying more. Anyway rant over Grin. Glad you had a good time, sorry you're feeling unwell and I reckon you can find a better bag for you.

topaz next have some surprisingly good bits.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/08/2014 13:29

I never buy stuff in Next, the website really puts me off and I do at least 80% of shopping online. I probably miss out on some gems!

Yes QueenC re the lists! Also her 3 items a month went out of the window pretty quickly didn't it Wink and yet she doesn't seem to post about as much high end stuff any more. I wonder if she has started using affiliate links...

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/08/2014 13:29

I take it back, she hasn't.

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2014 18:42

Welcome back Shop how are you feeling?

OneLittleLady · 20/08/2014 19:25

welcome back shop I hope you're feeling better soon, shame about the bag it is rather nice

shopafrolic · 20/08/2014 21:32

I feel like I've swallowed a bag of razor blades but other than that, all good.
All that downtime has given me lots to think about wardrobe wise. Talk to me about shirts of the non silk variety ladies. I think I want a casual shirt this AW, possibly dark green. What natural fabrics wash and wear well? Any brands I should look to? I love my silk shirts but only ever wear them on nights out. Marsha you've had some great casual shirts.... Any tips? Is pocket placement an issue with bigger boobs? Questions, questions.
I have a plan that when DS starts pre-school I will spend the first few days going through my wardrobe (and his actually), having another clear out and checking for gaps.
So far I need a couple more tees, as I have lost about 5 in the last few weeks to stains and holes. The shirt. Possibly biker boots (cheaper than Choos), and a medium weight knit.

LinusDKD · 20/08/2014 21:48

Oh no! My MN has changed on my mobile! I hate change!

shop sorry you are feeling unwell again. Will try and think of nice shirts for you.

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2014 21:52

Shop I love the Marant one I have, very soft almost brushed cotton. Find it much hardier than silk. Actually I'm yet to own silk!

Linus too high?

too low?

Too suede? Grin

Topazandpearl · 20/08/2014 22:32

Lol Blair I didn't feel so efficient when I realised that these Next trousers are dry-clean only.....after I'd worn them!

Queen I had gone off Next but had a look the other day as I wanted black work trousers and thought that the suit looked very like a much more expensive (red) Baukjen one which I'd liked. Also, for those of us out of London, their delivery cannot be beaten (order by 10pm for next day). I've read that this is one of the reasons they are doing so well.

Shop I completely avoid pockets on shirts, but I am bigger of boob. If your throat doesn't improve soon, you might need to see the GP?

Like the various boot links. I think I will be looking for new boots this year but haven't decided on style yet.

Topazandpearl · 20/08/2014 22:34

The Baukjen suit

MarshaBrady · 21/08/2014 08:37

That's lovely Topaz

Hope this day warms up, short sleeves MiH shirt, new one and light skinnies. Frozen!

libertychick · 21/08/2014 09:07

It's that hard to get right transition time Marsha. I decided to wear my biker jacket over a shirt and skirt and I am a bit too warm.

shopafrolic · 21/08/2014 09:21

Brrrr - so chilly this morning. Wearing GAP skinnies (definitely don't love them as much as my Paige but I need to catch up on my laundry), Madewell animal print flats and Liberty's A&W red and white stripe knit. Thanks

libertychick · 21/08/2014 09:22

Slightly thrown as MN looks different on my phone - am easily confused... Where has the 'flip' thread button gone?

libertychick · 21/08/2014 09:24

Oh so pleased it works for you shop. :)

LinusDKD · 21/08/2014 09:33

Morning!

marsha yes too high and too low. Not too suede. Grin

I am a vision in TS today. Wink Tile print skinnies and blue shirt.

And my red Leigh skinnies arrived at DM (wanted to avoid customs charges) and they look a bit darker than in the picture but thay might just be Facetime distorting the picture.
