This is the other Kate Spade bag I got. I was determined not to get black but decided I would get lots of wear as it's a great size and also cross body.

Santa, I love a chunky jumper but that would be difficult to wear with a coat. I think someone said maybe an autumn jumper.

Fab lunch, fab food and got on brilliantly with his wife. I don't know why I worry so much, it's pathetic really. I wore the jaegar and managed not to spill anything on it or get sticky finger prints on it so may even wear it more often now.

Lovely jumper santa but maybe a bit bulky. Depends though what kind of coat you'll wear it with. Might work underneath a trenchcoat.

Today I am wearing a very boring outfit but my day will be filled with running errands and tidying up the house so that's hardly exciting.

Linus your 'boring' outfit sounds very stylish especially with the tods. It's sunny but cold here and haven't decided what to wear yet - will think about it whilst I have a shower.

Question: I have a huge pile of post holiday ironing - am wondering whether it's worth doing all my hot weather dresses and tops etc given that the weather isn't that hot. Are we likely to get more sun or is that it now? What would you all do? yes, am bored, can you tell?

It's a bit brisk today, isn't it? Am wearing crimson lightweight knit, ASOS Ridley skinnies and also biker boots (going at the heels, need replacing with Choos)

fedup it's going to get exceptionally hot from Friday to next Friday < totally over optimistic that I'm not going to spend yet another holiday in waterproofs and jumpers> . I would probably iron them all as even if you don't wear them again you might not want to put them away totally creased?

And I have been buying some running gear to keep me motivated which seems to work as I have been for a run or done the Shred for 4 days in a row.

I am actually looking forward to exercising . I know, it feels like I have been abducted by aliens and one of them is inhabiting my body as I don't recognise myself anymore.

Hello all! Thanks for the birthday wishes :) for everyone. DP has bought me a driving experience at Silverstone - in my own car! (I did mention a while back that I'd like to do it, as I want someone to show me how it should be driven!)

Other than that I am not big on (my own) birthdays and presents but I do like planning lots of nice things around it, so we're going to the theatre this Saturday, I have a spa day next week with my mum and sisters, then DP and I am going to France the following day.

Forgot to mention I got this Topshop skirt at the weekend, I have lots of ideas how to wear it but just need to pluck up the courage as it's not my usual sort of thing.

Cheek indeed! I just let her have her moment and then ignored. In shopping news, I bought a lovely red trench coat with black piping, a cropped 3/4 sleeve iron man tee and, well, um, a grey tube skirt with iron man printed all over it

fedup you do realise that weather forecast was total wishful thinking? Just checked the forecast for Friday in Wales and it's cold but hopefully dry. Can't see us having many days on the beach though.

We've just booked a weekend away to edinburgh in December for our anniversary. Travelling with cabin luggage only but thinking I may need a new going out outfit but obviously something that won't crease.

Hope the holidays are going well for those on them and welcome back to those you have returned.

I have been helping DS get organised for his new job (gulp). He needed a work wardrobe as he makes the transition from being a scruffy student. After a couple of shopping trips I think he has enough to start off with. He is on holidays this week and then will have a few days at home before moving away. I am so pleased and excited for him, but I will miss him not having long uni holidays to come home in.

We had a lovely weekend in Edinburgh last year Queen. If going without DC, I recommend this restaurant and also this but will need to book well in advance. I'm sure you'll have a lovely time.

It has definitely turned autumnal here and I return to work tomorrow, so I will have to do some wardrobe rearranging today. I have done my usual thing of going up a size over the summer (too much opportunity to eat and drink!), so that needs to be taken into account. Back on the Fast diet!

I have ordered a few work things from Uniqlo and Next, which I'll link if I keep, but otherwise I want to get back to my normal size before I do any more shopping.
