Continuing. From here some of us may have jetted off to far flung foreign parts, but we're still friendly, fabulous even in the heat wave and full of frivolous fashion talk. Come and join us Smile

Oh and I meant to say earlier that Lib looked totally fabulous in Santa's Burberry. Just perfect.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/08/2014 22:00

Indeed she did :)

Thank you shop, now looking at M&S and JL. At John Lewis they sell packs of plain cards with envelopes, which I could almost print myself if I can figure out how. Only really concerned with save the dates at the moment, but I'll definitely care more about the actual invites when the time comes. That's so nice of you to see if people you know can help. :)

Stokey · 11/08/2014 22:01

Hope you're OK One

We're just renting a farmhouse in Dordogne Marsha. Big old stone place with nice pool, first week with family and second with friends with similar aged DC.

Friends who don't drive have just got back from Sardinia which sounded great. Staycation not looking as tempting now!

libertychick · 11/08/2014 22:03

Thanks Shop Blush

shopafrolic · 11/08/2014 22:04

Blair lib was wearing the coat today when she came round. I nearly clubbed her over the head and ran but her DD was with her :)

libertychick · 11/08/2014 22:10

ROFL at Shop Grin.

BrandyAlexander · 11/08/2014 22:20

Lib did you take my advice on how to dress the Burberry?Wink

Shop, Lib so lovely you met up!

Blair, I did an email save the date then blew a kings ransom at The Wren Press for bespoke invites, order of service (All 20 odd pages of it!Shock) and thank you cards. They were all engraved and had mine and dh's initials on them. I shudder at the memory of dh's face when he saw the cost. the fool still married meGrin

One, hope you're well.

libertychick · 11/08/2014 22:23

Obvs not on a playdate Novice Shock

...but the idea has been floated with DH and let's just say you are officially his favourite MNV'er! Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/08/2014 22:26

Oh nooo novice I hadn't seen the Wren Press! Wink Beautiful! I would love to have a letter press design - I love this one, for instance but it's a minimum order of 50 and I need 30. And £££ of course.

shopafrolic · 11/08/2014 22:26

Blair my mate has emailed me back. I've sent you a PM x

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/08/2014 22:36

Thank you shop Flowers x

maradesbois · 11/08/2014 22:57

Blair I went for Letterpress of Cirencester but raised print instead of die-stamped which was to fit in with the order of service etc think is cheaper too. I got a calligrapher to do all the place settings and table names and it didn't cost much at all.

Shop & Lib your day sounds lovely, glad it didn't descend into a scrap for the Burberry! Much better than mine in any case, train journey from hell and just one of those where everything that can go against you does. Relaxing in bed now though & dreaming of this time next week relaxing in a Mediterranean garden filled with exotic flora, lemon trees, oh and mil can't have everything Wink

OneLittleLady · 11/08/2014 23:00

back from OOH. Bad chest infection and pluerisy(sp) no wonder my chest feels like it's on fire. have been ordered to rest, take painkillers, plenty of fluids and complete the prescribed course of antibiotics. Hopefully they will kick in quickly as it's like breathing in fire currently.

maradesbois · 11/08/2014 23:03

Actually Blair scrap what I just said. That place is £££. IIRC I wanted Smythson and saw this as a compromise. Bit like when I told dh on Mount St on Sat when passing Celine that although I would love a Chanel woc would also love a trio which is half the price so would save the family £££. He wasn't convinced by this line of reasoning.

maradesbois · 11/08/2014 23:05

Omg One pleurisy is mean to be agony. Take care of yourself and get well soon.

libertychick · 11/08/2014 23:09

Grin at Mara. My DH doesn't buy that line of reasoning either!

Good that you got diagnosed so fast one. Hopefully the meds will kick in quickly. Take care of yourself - btw - I sent your scarf from Santa by 1st class signed for post today so hopefully that will arrive tomorrow.

QueenCardigan · 12/08/2014 07:32

Oh poor you one. Do you have anyone to look after you. Lots of Brew and Cake.

mara I love your reasoning Grin. My dh wouldn't go for that either.

shopafrolic · 12/08/2014 09:05

Get well soon One - sounds horrid
Blair the guys who you are emailing today could probably mock up a save the date invite as a jpeg which you could then email to people - might be worth asking when you contact them....

libertychick · 12/08/2014 09:07

Just a quick check in to say hello to one and that I hope you got some sleep last night. X

OneLittleLady · 12/08/2014 09:45

Thanks everyone. Went straight to bed as I got in last night and fell asleep pretty much as I'd finished posting. Managed to sleep right through and woke up to a call from my Gp's checking that I was okay and saying I'm on the temp list for emergency appointments for the next week if I don't feel like I'm getting better. Really impressed by the service I had last night and this morning, I never realised they could send someone out to pick you up if you couldn't get in by yourself. One sour point was the very impatient young guy being nasty to me as I was leaving because I was seen as soon as I walked into the hospital last night. As I rightly pointed out to him, he was at A&E and I was there for OOH so totally different departments and that if he had a problem with the service he was getting, it wasn't me he should be bringing it up with.

LinusDKD · 12/08/2014 10:16

one glad to hear you slept well, I hope the AB's help soon!

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2014 10:52

Oh my goodness I just had that chilling sensation where you realise you can't see or find vogue. Because I had hidden it by accident.

I was in no man's land

libertychick · 12/08/2014 11:02

I do that a lot Marsha. Freaks me out every time.

Glad you got some sleep one. A&E can be such a stressful environment especially at night.

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2014 11:17

Liberty I've done it before, and must have blanked it out as it didn't prepare me for that cold dread Grin

One you poor thing, how are you doing?
