Continuing. From here some of us may have jetted off to far flung foreign parts, but we're still friendly, fabulous even in the heat wave and full of frivolous fashion talk. Come and join us Smile

Yes Marsha DH was dancing badly
Santa I did say to DH today that he is much nicer to be around when he relaxes a bit and lets his non existent hair down so yes, I like us better when we're wasted Grin
He must be feeling guilty as we went shopping today and came back with 2 new suitcases for me, these gorgeous utensils and a Robert Welch set of knives!
He should get wasted more often!
Betty the shorts are good for the ££. Not sure the back pockets are the most flattering but since I don't wear them much outside the house I'm not so worried. On the petite front Novice is the one to answer that as I am 5ft 9/10 ish. :)
DH is asleep on the sofa - no stamina these men.

Hello,

Haven't kept up with thread the past few days but finally got some time to lounge. In London this w/e, picked a bad day to prebook zoo tickets for! It was nice and quiet though and weather cleared up eventually. We nearly had lunch at the second bar we went to at the MU but ended up going back into town.

Liberty we go to that playground all the time, ds loves the pirate ship (and it's v close to tk maxx where I got my bargain dvf!)

Queenc glad you enjoyed your hols. Your description of dc den making reminds me of how we used to turn bottom bunk bed into a cave on rainy play days. Great fun.

Linus your trainers sound fine, wouldn't bother getting new ones.

Dry hope you're having a fab holiday.

Blair just read that Elle is bringing out a wedding magazine next month.

Santa sounds lovely, can't wait to be on holiday.

One glad you're having a lovely time with dp home.

Hurrah, I managed to escape to the shops for an hour and a half and bought, ahem, another cardi. I was a bit Shock at the price but it's the most perfect royal purple colour.

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2014 21:06

Nearly bought this one too but it was a bit big and they don't do an xs.

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2014 21:07

Loved this dress but it was too big and shapeless.

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2014 21:07

Had planned to try on this skirt but they didn't have it.

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2014 21:09

Adore these boots but they are too masculine and classic for me. May have found the boots I want instead though but I'm not lining them!

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2014 21:10

Apologies for the multiple posts but otherwise I loose what I've written.

linus your trainers should be fine.
liberty I probably should count my cardigans as I've bought 4 in the past month Grin.

libertychick · 10/08/2014 22:02

That cardi is a gorgeous colour QueenC. I love that Coast skirt, I could see you in it.

Mara I bravely walked past that TKMaxx - promised DH a day out with no clothes shopping. I did think of you actually and wondered if they had any more DVF in there Smile. The pirate ship is fantastic.

Hope you have had a chance to crash too Shop. My DH is rubbish when he's hungover and I always end up being the one who does all the childcare etc the day after these type of sessions.

Collected this shirt in Topshop today. I had ordered it in white too. Returned!! It's a bit short and boxy and not flattering on me unfortunately.

QueenCardigan · 11/08/2014 09:33

Thanks lib, it's a lush colour isn't it? Looks fab with navy. Talking of navy, the beautiful grosvenor comes in navy this season. I coveted this bag for years and always wished I'd got it in navy many summers ago when they had it. Not sure I can justify the price though especially as I want boots for my birthday so doubt dh will buy this too.

I ordered the boots I like last night. They only had 1 pair left in my size online so I panicked. Will link when I've got them as may need to try and swap sides. I ordered what I'd tried on but then realised that I had bare feet so just hoping will be ok with socks.

shopafrolic · 11/08/2014 10:56

Have any of you lovely ladies sent me a gift in the post? I've received a gorgeous box of soaps today but no idea who they are from? No card or note inside.....

shopafrolic · 11/08/2014 10:56

Or is that the soaps from Novice? Can't remember now!

BrandyAlexander · 11/08/2014 11:56

hi Shop, if they are heyland & whittle soaps then yes they are a gift from me.Smile

MarshaBrady · 11/08/2014 12:13

Morning. I feel deep in summery holiday + work mode.

But ordered MiH Paris in a light colour as they were reduced and had been in my saved list for ages. And one left. So had to be done really!

BrandyAlexander · 11/08/2014 12:15

I am not feeling summery today! It feels chilly!

OneLittleLady · 11/08/2014 12:25

novice the shoes arrived this morning, they are gorgeous. thank you so much Thanks

BrandyAlexander · 11/08/2014 12:27

I meant to say those jeans are hot!WinkEnvy

That reminds me, Betty I got the 26P in the sexy boyfriend shorts. I am just under 5'2" and am size 6 in clothes. The shorts are lovely but they gape at the back so they are not perfect by any stretch. I am going to take them on hols but if don't wear then will return. They are more of a desperation but for me because my usual warehouse denims are a little tight as I have put on a little weight over the last year ( I was at the small end of a 6 but now bang on a 6). Hope those mumblings help!

MarshaBrady · 11/08/2014 12:29

Oh yes that should have said, summer rather than summery - I am chilly too.

bettykt · 11/08/2014 13:10

Thanks Novice for that, may actually see if I can get to an actual shop and have a bit of a try on first then, have missed the online offers due to me dithering. How come I dither over a pair of shorts but can buy something else usually more expensive at a drop of a hat, just a rhetorical question btw Grin

Stokey · 11/08/2014 13:14

Just catching up after another weekend away, this time just the country with family.

Very jealous of the RM dresses Novice, particularly love the colour block one. Mine was here when I got back and as suspected the 4 is a bit tight. I can do it up but would struggle to eat so will take it in to the Regent St store tomorrow and see if there is anything left in a 6/8 [unless any of you want to try a 4?]

Blair I think I recommended Pronovias on Bond St before? They are a good starting point to give you an idea and lots of shapes and price ranges.

Also got my Outnet order. The goat dress is sadly a bit shapeless on me, think you need to be tall to pull it off but I love the cobalt top. I also bought an American Vintage long-sleeved tee in a dark grey, very boring but I'm wearing it now and feel like I have owned it forever.

Nice jeans Marsha , are you on hols? We go on Saturday.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/08/2014 14:20

Stokey thank you, I have looked at their site and they do have lots of designs, plus I think the experience would be amazing!

mara I'll look out for the magazine :)

Paid the venue deposit today so that's that. Next job is to send out save the dates - does anyone have any stationery tips? Everything is just so expensive and there's way too much choice!

Lovely jeans Marsha, I remember you were looking for some in that colour a while back. Hope they're nice.

QueenC that Coast skirt is lovely, shame it wasn't in store.

santamarianovella · 11/08/2014 16:49

Sort of fashion related, had to share, I'm loling at 7), the farmers market shot, that was me yesterday,Blush, I loved the market yesterday took dozen of pictures andsent them to my watsapp group but I just bought vegetables and melons, the germ phobia in me was saying:but these berries have been sitting outside for god knows how long , better pop into Carrefour and get them from there instead,

MarshaBrady · 11/08/2014 17:03

Ha that's funny Santa, love it.

Stokey not yet! Still looking Blush

MarshaBrady · 11/08/2014 17:04

Well done Blair must be nice to cross things off the list! Not sure on stationery.

Stokey · 11/08/2014 17:11

Hilarious Santa now we just need WIT to do a reality check instagram

I went cheapskate for stationary Blair - Save The Date email Blush and wedding invitations from the Turkish print shop at the end of the road. It still cost nearly £100 though so dread to think what the "proper" wedding invites would cost. I know several people who have hired someone to write their invitations for them

Holiday search is tough Marsha, must be some good last minute deals out there by now!
