Continuing. From here some of us may have jetted off to far flung foreign parts, but we're still friendly, fabulous even in the heat wave and full of frivolous fashion talk. Come and join us Smile

In Kensington palace garden playground. Gorgeous day not too crowded. One of those days when I love living in London.
Hope the BBQ goes well shop.

Early night for me. Wore Splendid red mini dress and gold Havs, gold Raybans and MK watch with Tokyo Jane bangles. All good but not too safe bending over!

OneLittleLady · 09/08/2014 22:29

Evening all. Have had a lovely day in Scarborough, paddled in the sea, ate fish and chips, bought rock and fudge and almost got flown into by a seagull! Spent plenty of time sniggering at the fish and chip place we went to as it was called Winking Willys! Blush Grin Attempting to cook Dp his favourite dinner tomorrow as it's his birthday on Monday and he will be back in London come dinner time then and then we are going to the cinema tomorrow evening.

libertychick · 10/08/2014 08:48

Sounds lovely one!!

Dry I think 7 sun screens for 2 weeks for 4 adults sounds a lot but not too excessive - am I weird??? You will need a lot on a boat especially if you are jumping in and out of the sea swimming - most people don't use enough.

For a holiday with me, DH and DD I would probably bring two bottles of factor 30 for general use, a tube of a higher factor (50) for mine and DD face, neck, top of head etc, a bottle of factor 20 for DH as he usually wants a lower one after first couple of days. And that's just for a week!!! sunscreen costs a lot abroad so I'd rather have too much than too little.

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2014 09:39

one you sound like you've had a lovely weekend. And you've survived the first week Smile

I need a break from the dc. Dh is on call but I can hopefully have a couple of hours me time later. Planning on hitting the city centre so will report back on any purchases.

shopafrolic · 10/08/2014 10:44

One I love Scarborough - sounds like you had fun. Enjoy today.
DH cannot remember much from yesterday other than trying to drive DS' ride on Ferrari down the garden path - after that he's had to look at photos Hmm
Lazy morning, and will head to Milton Keynes AGAIN in a while to pick up my Gucci watch.

MarshaBrady · 10/08/2014 10:51

Shop you picked the right day for the BBQ. Bucketing here. Was your dh dancing by any chance? the last pic summed it up Grin

BrandyAlexander · 10/08/2014 11:14

Morning all! Tipping it here too. Spent yesterday with in- laws. Dmil looked stunning. She was wearing a Zara red and white Breton tee and white cropped linen trousers with red heeled sandals. Honestly, it was so simple but it just so lovely. Dsil also looked great with navy Breton and white trousers. Mine was green superdry tee with white Ralph Lauren skinnies. I laughed that we all looked v similar - tee and white bottomsGrin

OneLittleLady · 10/08/2014 11:24

It's also throwing it down here. Dp is on the sofa catching up with some tv he's missed as they haven't got cable in the shared house but I do so we set it to record a load of stuff for him that he likes. We picked the right day yesterday to go to the seaside!

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2014 11:33

Rain and thunder here too. Hoping summer isn't over yet. May not get the chance to go shopping as dh got called into the hospital. Kids are driving me mad on such a wet day. Aaggghhh!!!

BrandyAlexander · 10/08/2014 11:48

Poor you QueenCThanks dh has gone to driving range. My two are being semi kept occupied by Frozen activities.

bettykt · 10/08/2014 12:16

QueenC I feel your pain Thanks it's raining here too.

One glad you're having a lovely weekend.

Novice Shop do you recommend the Gap 1969 shorts? I have the Gap 20% off email and could do with some new shorts, I'm short so would I need the petite size? Did you get the denim pair? Sorry for the bombardment of questions. Blush

santamarianovella · 10/08/2014 12:27

queen poor you, hope the weather improves,

shop all I thought about when I read your post was this song that is constantly on

Don't want to rub it in, but I spent the morning at the market in valbonne ,and now I'm lounging by the pool, glorious weather, sunny but not too hot,

santamarianovella · 10/08/2014 12:31

Arrg! Oates to soon!
shop your post reminded me of a song constantly on replay here on radio, "I like us better when were wasted" Grin

santamarianovella · 10/08/2014 12:33

we're* maybe I'm still wasted Blush

bettykt · 10/08/2014 13:17

Grin Santa enjoy your hols and lovely weather Envy

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2014 13:27

It stopped raining for a bit so I threw them outside with wellies on Grin. Does anyone else feel it's easier if they just watch the tv/play on wii all day? I'd never let them do it but at least they don't make a mess making dens out of blankets and inviting every single soft toy they own to a plastic fod picnic if they're in front of a screen.

Hoping dh will be back soon. Finally managed to find an image of yesterday's purchase

OneLittleLady · 10/08/2014 13:45

Lovely blouse QueenC

thank you betty I really am having a lovely weekend

I've gone from 14 stone 4 lbs to 13 stone 6lbs in a week. I'm a little worried because it's such a big loss for a week. Tbh though, I've had no appetite so have been eating very little. I'm hoping my appetite will come back if I give it some time.

LinusDKD · 10/08/2014 15:02

Weird weather today, again.

Raining this morning, 30 degrees and sunny now but still very humid. I'm melting.l

Question: I have dusted off my old trainers in a bid to get motivated to do some exercise. I have lost 11 kg but I would like to get a bit toned.

I bought them in London about 8 years ago (a shop specialised in trainers close to Victoria Station, forgotten the name) and they were recommended to me then. I hardly used them Blush so they are as new and I don't think my walking/running 'style' has changed in 8 years, so do you think I can wear them again?

libertychick · 10/08/2014 15:32

Lovely blouse QueenC. My DD has little dens all over the house and freaks out if I tidy up destroy them

Linus I imagine the trainers would be ok - give them a go.

That is a lot of weight loss in a week one but not eating would do it! Keep an eye on it and if you don't stabilize in a week or two ask your GP about it.

Off and on this weekend I am doing a little clothes inventory, it's funny how writing it all down helps me see more clearly what I do and don't need - I think I may be to jumpers what QueenC is to cardigans - 13 so far and I still have another bag of winter stuff to go through Smile
