I am a liability!

No, it's not too plain, I have owned that particular Gucci watch! Not wanting to look like an idiot, I haven't actually been clear on the Gucci saga, but the truth is I have actually lost, ahem, 4 Gucci watches. Blush.

This was watch 1 which I owned I back in 1999. I bought it for myself to mark a career achievement. I then lost it a couple of years later. So i bought the same watch (Gucci 2) but with a pearl face instead of a black one. I think I owned that for a few years. Gucci 3 was the one that you linked but was stolen. Angry. So dh replaced it with Gucci 4 which is similar to the one you linked but had diamonds down the sides on the outside. I only remembered about the diamonds when I saw the one you linked. Except I can't even find it on google. Gucci 5 is the closest to it, except, the diamonds are on the short side, and the one dh got me were on the long side. He may not notice though if i was to get to this one. Oh and to complete my shame....

Not long after dh bought me Gucci 4 (which I am fairly sure was about 900), I saw an identical watch which was an Oasis version for 30 which I loved. It had diamante instead of diamonds. He was slightly baffled when I bought the cheap version. Of course I still have the cheap version, while I have lost Gucci 4!

OneLittleLady · 16/07/2014 22:29

ahhh Novice you need to attach a keyfinder or something to every piece of bling you own!

Dp is away tonight and tomorrow, working and checking out house shares. It's all a bit real and close for comfort now.

bettykt · 16/07/2014 22:32

Blair beautful ring, classy and elegant. I too was admiring your nails.

Novice nooooooooooo what a nightmare, ouch and I thought I was bad losing a Gucci watch, had it absolutely years, saved up from my Saturday job over 20 years ago Sad I think I put it in the loft, but am not sure, when we went on holiday, never retrieved it, as it's not a watch I wear a lot, tried looking for it but couldn't find it, it could be anywhere in the house. Also loads of people have been in the loft, to repair boiler, insulate it etc etc. I doubt I'll ever find it, I bet if we move the new owners will find it somewhere Grin

Perhaps the moral of the story is never have a Gucci watch.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/07/2014 22:34

Thanks everyone :) I'm so happy, I love it!

Dry glad you're feeling better. I can really imagine you in a navy version of that dress - maybe we only share some style DNA as it would look rubbish on me.

Haha novice I love how you subtly upgraded the Gucci every time! I take it the Next watch is dead. :(

Fedupnagging · 16/07/2014 23:02

Blair, that ring is fabulous as are your nails. Glad your dh-to-be finally surprised you.

Novice, you really can't be trusted with bling - better let me have it look after it for you!

Drywhiteplease · 16/07/2014 23:17

But that dress is not very fitted, could look a bit sack like on me wasn't seriously considering

Drywhiteplease · 16/07/2014 23:18

Get in the queue Fedup....think it's Shop in pole position then me second Grin

Turquoiseblue · 16/07/2014 23:36

Blair, that s a beautiful ring how sweet of your fiancée to surprise you. You ll have fun venue hi ting too. All that part is lovely!
Dry glad you re better (you re linking again, must be improved)
Novice, oh myShock 4 Gucci watches. What if dh has it and is teasing to see if you ll admit to losing it?

QueenCardigan · 17/07/2014 06:46

Ha ha turq, imagine if he has? novice you are a liability Grin.

dry glad you're feeling better. Is series 6 the last one?

BrandyAlexander · 17/07/2014 07:05

Oh god that would be so mean I would actually have to find the moral high ground and just kill him as I have been fretting about Gucci 4 for about 18 months now! I assumed when we moved house it would miraculously turn upHmm

this is the oasis watch which I love and is a copy of Gucci 4.

shopafrolic · 17/07/2014 08:16

Yup Fedup - back of the line please Grin
Blair !!!!! Squwwwwweeeeeeeee! How exciting! What a beautiful ring!
There must be something wrong with me. The Jimmies are still waiting to be tried on. Hmm
2 more days of nursery for DS and then I have no idea how to fill our time this summer. All my mummy friends now work so will be flying solo with him a lot of the time. My local zoo pass is going to be red hot.

I need to catch up but

Blair how exciting! A lovely ring!

Love seeing that fabulous pic

Stokey · 17/07/2014 09:57

Gorgeous ring Blair and you have lovely hands.

Wow Novice four Gucci watches, I thought I wasn't too be trusted but you have far out done me. I just regularly lose my wallet/leave things in taxis on drunken nights out.

Thanks Dry hope your jaw feels better

Stokey · 17/07/2014 10:45

In other news I am getting my colours done tomorrow with DM.

I'm quite excited although a little worried that my tan will skew results. I think I'm going to end up a winter but we shall see.

MarshaBrady · 17/07/2014 11:07

Thanks everyone re bag. I do love the orange one I have, and I'd prefer to keep using it, if it wasn't tatty that is. But the orange is wearing away leaving dark marks and it will get worse. I might post a pic.

Also is Mount St store a better bet than Selfridges?, even NaP doesn't do them online, so I'll have to go in. Mara that sky blue one sounds gorgeous, might be the one.

Santa you are so warm and lovely, and funny that I'm sure you will make new friends quickly. But I understand how it must feel. It was lovely for your friends to do a party. We're here for you too.

Turq Me & Em order sounds good. Black trio always looks so good on pin.

Mara Tart dresses sound ace, will you keep both?

Blair I rarely use that blue one, but I do when I put sneaky flats in it Grin. It's too big and heavy otherwise. I am a small bag convert.

Dry you poor thing! How are you feeling today?

Sleeeep argh reading Novice's post just jogged my memory. Sorry! argh sorry, will send now.

Novice! you are so funny. All that lost Gucci out there!

Stokey have fun tomorrow. We need Hopefully to update on tans and colours. But I imagine it will be fine, as they have to say no one come in summer with a tan or something.

And I have a stupid Sainsbury's story argh will post this first.

MarshaBrady · 17/07/2014 11:13

Jaysus. Just had some bloke follow me in a black merc saying I looked gorgeous, and did I have a partner (yes!), and what was my name and then I'm going to block you in so I can chat to you (no!). All I could do was keep walking to my car at the back of the car park so it took what felt like ages to get rid of him.

ARGH.

Am over it now. But has been a while since I've been so harrassed. In Sainsbury's carpark?! Annoying.

QueenCardigan · 17/07/2014 11:27

marsha that's awful. You should have taken his number plate and reported him.

stokey your tan shouldn't matter I think. If you're a winter come and join us on the winters thread as lot of chat and advice.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/07/2014 11:32

Ugh Marsha that sounds horrendous! What a pr*ck. I hate that sort of thing, you are "supposed" to see it as a "compliment" and you end up feeling angry and frustrated and upset. The worst thing is they'll never know what it feels like! Bet he's got a tiny willy.

Thanks all for the nail comments Blush it's a bit serendipitous that they looked nice for the pic, they don't usually and my other hand doesn't. I need to file them soon as they start to freak me out when they get long.

Stokey exciting about colours! It will be such fun with your mum. I don't think the tan matters.

libertychick · 17/07/2014 12:00

V quick catch up....

Beautiful ring Blair - so pleased for you Wine

Marsha what a horrible thing to happen. And yes to the Trio - it's so you.

Novice all those lovely watches Shock - the washing machine story made me laugh though.

Work is insane, had a very stressful few days, today has been better so far but a v v imp meeting this pm

Will catch up at weekend. Glad all the parcels arrives. Blair I still haven't picked up the J Brands from the PO - actually might be able to after lunch...

bettykt · 17/07/2014 13:28

Just bought these gold boots I know they're not to everyone's taste but I quite fancy the idea of brightening up my footwear on the school run in a/w.

Marsha what a creep, how scary, did you manage to take his reg, no? Blair you are right I bet he does has a small willy.

shopafrolic · 17/07/2014 13:41

Loads of fab shoes in Atterley Road's final reductions. Soludos espadrilles, Sam Edelman and some fab Ganni flats..... worth a look

OP posts:
Stokey · 17/07/2014 13:42

It's always BMW & Merc drivers Marsha ugh

Love those boots Betty , they'll be great on the school run.

Someone was looking at Anthropologie -Turq? Now is your time, an extra 20% off sales stuff. Just tried on some MIH Phoebes which were £54 (+20%) so really cheap but didn't do it for me.

Stokey · 17/07/2014 14:03

Thanks Shop I already had the Ganni python clutch in my basket so have just added some orange espadrilles.

Turquoiseblue · 17/07/2014 14:04

Thanks stokey,am shopped out at the moment. Have a return of the baukjen bag as I can't live with out compartments, even though I loved the bag and colour and it would have been lovely for me otherwise (so the bag hunt on a budget continues Wink)

Marsha - that s just horrible.

Also noticed lovely stuff on AR clearance.

santamarianovella · 17/07/2014 15:22

novice you should have all your bling tagged! Grin

blair gorgeous Ring, very elegant, and yes you will have a great time, planing and hunting for the venue,

marsha how annoying! I would have taken a picture of the plate number just to scare him off,

And regarding celine on mount street, they do have a bigger selection, than selfridges, and matches, very very helpful staff, I saw the small trio in python turq mentioned , there was a gorgeous one in teal that I absolutely loved, many many colors, and all those box bags neatly stacked on the shelf, its absolutely a nightmare to choose one Wink,

betty love the boots, and its me who liked them incase you are wondering,

Thank you all so much for your kind words,I did have a look at some play groups in the part of Germany we are moving to,but they haven't been active in ages! It will be easier with school stuff I think, or maybe I will post something on one of the forms,

fedup and queen I met one of my closest friend in a play date group I took DSS, to when we first moved to this area, the first thing she said to me when we met,was " hi I'm ....,and Really like you, lets be friends" I did get scared at first Grin but she is now the person I will miss most, our dcs go to the same school, do sleepovers and spend most weekends together, she is truly genuine person, very rare to find.
