A Kenzo ring sounds perfect Stokey!

Shop yes eek, you can probably guess by my posts I am slightly in denial. But I intend to have fun with friends and forget about actual years!

Nothing for me in the NaP clearance sale, hallejuh

shopafrolic · 15/07/2014 12:49

Marsha how exciting - I loved all the celebrations (and presents!)
Dog is still poorly :(
No idea what to do for the best. DH is starting to make noises that we may have to 'rethink' our holiday plans. Aaaaarggggghhhh.

Fedupnagging · 15/07/2014 13:36

Marsha and Queen I am just looking ATM for bags/shoes as agree there will be a lot more around in the autumn. I was thinking of not getting bag and shoes to match too so have been browsing both navy and silver shoes and then maybe go for a completely different colour bag.

Mara, good luck with the house hunting.

Shop Sad for shopdog and holiday plans. What has the vet said?

MarshaBrady · 15/07/2014 14:50

Fedup I love that clutch. You should get it!

Bettyk shame about the dress, but good that you know.

Matches is here, quick try on. Shop yep J Brand photo ready does weird butt thing, wth is that? Aries look odd, for a teen I think, and Frame are the best. If I keep any it will be the Frame Le skinny de Jeanne.

Shop oh no! hope something can be done and you can go on holiday.

Drywhiteplease · 15/07/2014 17:29

My Matches has just arrived too. V quick try on and result but now sitting in sunshine in park waiting for dd. Haven't done this for years.
The Jimmies are fabulous . 26 perfect,no struggle Grin thrilled. Shop how are yours? They are described as cropped but are the perfect length for me unheard of. I just love Marches packaging, so pretty.

OneLittleLady · 15/07/2014 19:04

Evening all. Haven't been around much as I've not been feeling too well, more mental than physical though, I'm feeling so so anxious about DP leaving. Keep waking up in the night having panic attacks and having awful, confusing and weird dreams. Logically i know i'll be okay, just emotionally I don't seem to be making the leap.

I was blessed by having a really good conversation with a tiny slip of a thing 17 year old today. I forget I'm not 17 anymore myself so felt quite good that she wanted to talk to me as I'm now ancient according to my sister!!

No fashion news to report, weight loss has stalled but I'm not worried, I'm looking into what exercise I can actually do and I'm at the doctors tomorrow so am going to ask for a physio referral

shopafrolic · 15/07/2014 19:31

Glad it wasn't just me with the photo readies Marsha. I felt that I needed to hoick (sp?) them up all the time.
Dry the box is still by the door. Will need to try tomorrow. My J Brand Crofts are too big already now so not sure how the 27s will be in the Paige. I love Linus 28s but they are too big now if I'm honest........
One it's the next exciting phase. It will be fab and we'll be here to support you.

Quickly popping in to say Hi!

DPIL left this morning so haven't had time for a catch-up and now I need to prepare for our holiday.

Wore my white Madewell top and TS tile print skinnies today, they work really well together.

Drywhiteplease · 15/07/2014 21:01

One swimming....might be great for you
Shop I vacant wait when parcels arrive! just have to open and take a peek. Builder said he's getting to know the delivery men quite well, they just let themselves round the back Grin

Drywhiteplease · 15/07/2014 21:02

"I can't wait" duh

shopafrolic · 15/07/2014 21:25

My DHL man just smirks at me now! I told him that once the sales are over we'll be strangers again.

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 15/07/2014 21:39

Grin Shop! I told builder not to tell DH about the amount of parcels I receive most go back, honest Wink

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 15/07/2014 21:43

Evening all.

Not much to report here. Waiting on a couple of things (I know, I know - I said no more before holiday) but nothing terribly exciting. Some stuff I'd had dispatch notices for up to a week ago and I still haven't received them all the delivery drivers have probably been re-routed to Dry's house

Thoughts are turning to Aw (sorry Novice) and I was wondering...what would you all buy in the US right now? Inspire me.

Turquoiseblue · 15/07/2014 21:56

Sneaky me and me order arrived today.
On phone so links difficult - asymmetric hem ruched dress. And long and short layering vests. Very pleased. Fear I have to step away from me and em for a bit tho. Else I ll have to charge commission Grin. One lived in their maxi dresses for spring / summer.
Funny about the delivery man- mine knows when I m off work and not to come round school Pick up times Blush (I also gave him some homemade cookies one day that he came twice Grin)
One - dry is right, maybe aquareobics or cycling ? They re both low impact. But (women esp) we need some resistance for muscle mass and bone density (especially if you have any history of long terms steroid or certain other meds) so Physio/ guided rehab is good idea. Exercise can help with the moods and panic attacks too. Natural to feel the fear with big changes imminent! You ll be great though. (And stylish Grin)

Anyone get anything on NaP clearance ?

Drywhiteplease · 16/07/2014 07:57

Shop how's your dog today? Really hope you don't cancel your holiday, you need it.Sad .how long till you go?

Stokey · 16/07/2014 09:27

Morning all
Hope your tooth is better Dry and Shopdog is recovering. One I've been doing the 30-day shred and she recommends squat punches for when you can't do aerobic exercise.

Reading the Stylist this morning, they had a thing about Roland Mouret's collab with Banana Republic, coming in early August apparently. Some lovely looking dresses around the £85 mark.

Also a rather depressing article about how your boobs are the part of your body that ages first. We should all be rubbing anti-ageing cream and using SPF 25 on them apparently!

OneLittleLady · 16/07/2014 10:49

Morning all,

Liberty parcel has arrived. Haven't tried on yet but have emptied the box so the cat can take up residence in it!

It's very very hot here so am in a midi length flouncy black&white gingham print skirt and black vest top

maradesbois · 16/07/2014 12:49

Just popping in to say Thanks to liberty for the sweater, I love it.

Also queenc for SE property advice, I do remember our chat. Will look at Teddington too betty

shop how is dog? Difficult situation but don't cancel your hol, everyone needs a break.

marsha birthday celebrations sound great. Did you decide on gift yet?

dry glad you're happy with jeans.

one I second dry re swimming.

linus quick question re 5:2, do you only do full days or would you sometimes do any 24hr period?

grumpy if I were off to the US would probably look for labels I don't buy here as think overpriced eg jcrew, Kate spade.

Having had a rather positive preliminary try on of both my Tart dresses from outnet am debating what to do. If I keep both will need to impose a strict spending ban until September.

MarshaBrady · 16/07/2014 13:28

Hello, lovely weather!

Mara perhaps you can all help me decide Grin. Apart from a holiday, which given work atm may have to be later, and new flooring etc I really don't need any other clothes as I've bought so much lately.

So for my present I was considering getting a new Celine trio to replace the tatty, but much-loved old orange one. I will prise it from my hands, but it looks fairly beat up now. I feel rather disloyal, but it's looking rather shabby.

So question, is it ok to replace with a new one, how about pale blue? I have to find one. I can't think of any other bag I would prefer is that madness. Maybe not!

maradesbois · 16/07/2014 13:35

marsha new trio would be a wonderful birthday gift and you know it's something you'll use all the time as you're already used to a small bag. When I was at the Mount St store a couple of weeks ago they had a sky blue one that was beautiful.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/07/2014 13:36

Hi all

Been lurking for a few days as I went away for the weekend (another family party) and then felt a bit meh with PMT. Have had 2 deliveries though - J crew (pencil skirt is a great fit, Tippi jumper not as wow as I expected but fine for the price) and Coast shoes which are just fab, wide enough for my feet and look awesome.

Stokey that RM and BR collab sounds exciting, thanks for that! Also I can believe it about the boobs.

Grumpy I'd buy J Crew, and US brands in general to get the best value.

mara when I did 5:2, I only ever did full days, which if you think about it is actually more like 36 hours of fasting because of the gap between dinner and breakfast. So not sure other periods would work.

Going to visit a few potential wedding venues this weekend. No ring yet still! :( Wink

BrandyAlexander · 16/07/2014 14:10

Hello! Managed a micarulous clearing of diary so I am working in my backk garden today Grin. It's ruddy gorgeous! Am wearing my Ann Taylor shorts with a white tee.

Marsha I have to say I did love Linus yellow Celine but I don't think you're talking about the same bag are you?

QueenCardigan · 16/07/2014 14:54

stokey do you mean the actual boobs or the décolletage bit? My boobs never see the light of day so would never need SPF. I haven't noticed them aging either but goodness, the rest of my skin is. I've really noticed in the past week that my skin has suddenly become old, dry and thin like old people have.

marsha a blue bag sounds good for you although I thnk you'd miss having orange or would you still use it?

santamarianovella · 16/07/2014 15:07

Hello!
shop how is the dog doing? Hope you get to go on holiday, you really need it,

dry how are you feeling now?

grumpy I would get denim,rag and bone,CE,

one don't do anything too strenuous,

marsha your birthday is very close to mine? And I think liberty too?
I wouldn't get a trio though, maybe a different desgin like the cut, or maybe the box? But yes stick to your signature colour!

queen maybe its just dehydration, and heat?

I didnt know that boobs age,my mother still has good ones, even bra less ,but they are small,so maybe small is good? I have small ones too Wink

and oh I haven't seen my mom's boobs! I just can tell if she is not wearing bra ,and they look ok for 50 something,

A few of my friends are organising a sort of goodbye dinner for us on friday, and I just started to sob,its silly, but starting new friendship all over again is something I've never been that good at,its easier when studying or working, but as a SAHM its more difficult, and DSS,is sort of feeling sad about missing his friends too,Sad

shopafrolic · 16/07/2014 15:31

Thanks for all the shopdog enquiries. She's doing ok. Had her last steroid tablet last night and we've just got back from a walk where she ran for a bit longer than recent days so perhaps a slight improvement. But now she's lying in her basket and her breathing is quite erratic. Will see if she eats well this evening.........
Santa ((hugs)) for you. Dinner with friends sounds like a lovely send off.
Marsha trio would be good but you'll have to make sure you love the colour as much as the orange......... It suits you and is a classic.
Grumpy I would raid Madewell and J Crew if I was in the USA. Sephora for cosmetics. And somewhere for premium denim.
Novice glad to hear you're having an easy day.
Mara glad the sweater works for you
