stokey so glad you had a good party.
shop when's your holiday?

No fashion news here. The only purchasing I've been doing today is paint and carpet. Dh is off this week so we're decorating dd bedroom. Although I am bored of my summer clothes. I'm still loving the weather but have already mentally made a AW wish list. Will post later when I have more time.

libertychick · 14/07/2014 19:02

I don't think anyone can tough it out through toothache dry. Get thee to the dentist!

I love buying home decor stuff QueenC.

Good to hear your birthday went so well stokey.

I hugely annoyed the DHL man today. He arrived on the dot of 3pm to collect my returns - collection was for between 3 and 6. I hadn't printed out the waybill - he was clearly livid - woops.

Stokey · 14/07/2014 19:23

Dry have you tried gargling with Corosydyl? DMIL is a dentist and swears by it. Tastes foul but definitely works. I had all 4 out under GA last year. I couldn't have done it under local.

Glad the panama works Shop, I need to return theaxi dress I bought one day this week so will check it out.

Drywhiteplease · 14/07/2014 20:03

stokey btw I love that red dress.

Have been gargling with salt water and TCP...nothing can taste worse. Last year I had a top wisdom out. Wanted GA, but persuaded to have LA "top ones are easy, it's the bottom ones that are a nightmare"... Risk of nerve damage Sad etc they said it was absolutely amazing actually. Was totally dreading it as scared as before my CS but came out elated, relieved and possibly high like after my CSGrin this time it's the dreaded bottom teeth Sad
My name is Dry I'm a coward Sad

And the worse bit actually, now I recall, was having to walk into theatre, having forgotten my slippers, with a hideous hospital gown Shock and black suede wedge ankle boots. So not a good look Grin
Oh......... then a gibbering wreck, I talk when I'm nervous, infact I just talk any time greeted the assembled group of men in white coats with "hi guys, if I tell any of you I love you whilst I'm under the influence I do apologise"Blush ...heck, and you all thought I was posh! Grin posh idiot

Fedupnagging · 14/07/2014 20:12

Stokey sounds likes you had a fab weekend. Hope the recovery is quick. I have found post 40, recovery times take a bit longer!

Marsha glad you are feeling a little better about things today. Full on family issues can really take it out of you.

Shop very sorry to hear shopdog is still not well. Do the vets have any idea of what is wrong with her?

Dry toothache is the worst pain I've been in (apart from childbirth obv) a couple of years ago. No sleep for 3 days/nights until the dentist took the fucker out and that's another story! So, you have my sympathies. Oh and I was told not to use a hot compress but a cold one - something to do with blood vessels I think.

shopafrolic · 14/07/2014 20:25

QueenC hols at end of the month! assuming Shopdog recovers. Fingers and toes crossed.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out under LA at. 7mo pg, dry. Was a week after I had severe sepsis as well. I was sick of that hospital! Much sympathy, hope the pain alleviates.

Bought this dress for the wedding. Am a bit unsure but DH was really positive about it so I am listening to him, for once.

Drywhiteplease · 14/07/2014 20:45

Ooooh, that's more like it Amber very nice.

MarshaBrady · 14/07/2014 21:14

Shop yes very soon! Eek. We are sending the two dc away to the gps, dh is taking Friday and Monday off and we will be living it up over the weekend with friends. I have to do to lots of going out with two separate groups, but I don't mind Wink.

The dc will love it anyway, all their UK cousins are joining them and they are having their own party apparently.

I also need to decide on a present! I know. Last minute, but I like it like that.

MarshaBrady · 14/07/2014 21:16

Stokey pleased you had a lovely birthday. It's a good vintage this year Grin

lol Dry you are posh. And funny, a good combo.

Amber that dress is really great.

Thanks for being so nice, btw everyone. Has cheered me up a lot.

BrandyAlexander · 14/07/2014 21:36

Hello everyone!

I can't believe the chat has turned to a/w already! No, no and no! I am a s/s girl, it's when I look my best. Don't need so many layers and don't stuff my short self into something too long/bulky etc.

Dry hope you're feeling better soon lovey. Go to the dentist though!! thanks for the watch link. I have just remembered that the missing Gucci watch has diamonds down the long sides. It looks the same as the one you linked apart from that detail! Thank god you got yours back? Did I tell you about when I left my engagement ring at the gym? I have never crapped myself so much as those 20 minutes. Dh would kill me, no questions asked! I love the anthropologie dress you linked. I just showed it to dh and he likes it too. Then asked him where I would wear it to? Err his response not repeatable actually so will stop there! Also, I agree with Amber RB over LkB every time. Do you not remember my long running rant about the boots I bought? They do gorgeous shoes but I think poor quality for the ludicrous prices.

Grumpy, great to see you. Love the jumpsuit. I bet you really rock it.

Marsha hugs and hugs some more to you my love. Thanks

Also to Shop and Shopdog and to Queenc. Thanks

QueenCardigan · 14/07/2014 21:37

Evening all. Fab dress amber
I shall keep everything crossed for shopdog
Glad you're cheered up marsha
dry toothache is hideous. Wine, surely is medicinal in this instance, no?

So, am I mad mentally preparing an AW list...? I love buying new AW stuff. So far the list consists of...
Navy boots-although I've been after these for a couple of years.
Grey coat, or maybe even possibly a bright colour.
Grey cross body bag.
Flats for going out in. Not sure what colour though.
Day dress or trousers for volunteering days.
Grey jeans.
Grey patterned blouse.

Oh, and I ordered another cardi last week Blush

QueenCardigan · 14/07/2014 21:41

It's this one in purple. I tried it on in London but wasn't entirely convinced but hopefully thought it would be a good colour. It's too replace my 7 yo purple cardi which is looking a bit sad with it's holes.

BrandyAlexander · 14/07/2014 21:45

This is sooo rich coming from me of all people but I can't resist......just how many cardis do yuk own QuuenC?ShockGrin

shopafrolic · 14/07/2014 21:50

Is it the big one Marsha?

OP posts:
QueenCardigan · 14/07/2014 21:52

Ha ha, cross post with novice sorry for posting my AW list Grin

And cardigans...ummm, probably about 15. But in my defence they do all get worn. Unless it's really hot I'm in a cardi every day. I don't really do jumpers.

QueenCardigan · 14/07/2014 21:55

Have any of you ever sold jewellery and if so where? I have This Tiffany necklace although stupidly never kept the receipt. It's years old and been worn loads and I love it but it just doesn't feel right on anymore. Bit too classic for me. So, I'm wondering about selling it and getting something that I would wear. I don't do eBay. Any ideas?

Fedupnagging · 14/07/2014 21:56

Lovely dress Amber and lovely colour cardigan Queen.

I don't think I'm quite ready to think about A/W clothes just yet - not had enough summer. I do know that I will be looking for knee length flat black boots though.

Have been idly looking at silver bags as need one for a ball in the autumn but keep losing the links. this is my favourite but is ££'s.

Oh, Marsha, sounds like you have a great weekend planned.

QueenCardigan · 14/07/2014 22:08

Ooh, that's nice fedup. When n the autumn do you need it? There's sure to be more available especially once the party season stuff hits the stores.

Drywhiteplease · 14/07/2014 23:03

Love that Fedup

maradesbois · 15/07/2014 00:08

Just lost a long post when looking at queenc's cardi link, damn this iPad! Nice cardi though, like the colour. Don't know about jewellery, sorry. Maybe Vestiaire collective?

In short was just saying thanks for positive comments re house move.

sleep thanks, will have a look at Kingston, flight path and £££ have both put me of Richmond but love Chiswick.

stokey doesn't have to be south west but west more than east. Need to do lots of visiting over next couple of months to narrow down areas. Is so galling to see purchase history on zoopla though and that prices have skyrocketed so much over last 10 years compared to rest of UK. Good news for those of you already settled though!

fedup nice bag but agree wait and see re a/w stock if its not for just now. Are you wearing your navy dress? Am going to a ball in autumn too, would be funny if it was the same place! Unlikely though, mine is pretty random. Need metallic bag and shoes, rose gold would be good. Might even mix to avoid being too matchy. Have gold Lkb sandals from years ago that never wear which would work well.

Went to DHL depot to collect my outnet package earlier. Been out for dinner with friends so no time to even open it, will need to have a trying on session in the morning.

Bonne nuit all.

bettykt · 15/07/2014 06:26

Mara have you looked at Teddington? I have friends who live there and they are very happy there.

Shop hope your dog gets better before you go on holidays Thanks

Lovely colour cardi QueensC I have a bit of a thing for cardis too

Marsha hope all is well now Thanks

Dry ouch that just sounds bloomin' painful

I love that bag Fedup

The dress I ordered from Hobbs white dress had to go back unfortunately, clung in the wrong places and too loose in others. Such a shame as it's a lovely dress. Back to the drawing board again for a plain summer dress.

QueenCardigan · 15/07/2014 07:23

mara I don't know if you remember but I recommended surbiton as it's got it's quick trainline into Waterloo. The Kingston train is a slow one. Thames Ditton is also lovely but on the slow line too. If you wanted to be further out then Esher is lovely too and I think there's quick trains from there. I've got friends in those sorts of areas so pm me if you need advice re schools etc and I can try and find out.

LinusDKD · 15/07/2014 08:10

NaP clearance sale is on!

Stokey · 15/07/2014 11:47

Year of the tiger Marsha - we all need Kenzo rings!

Great dress Amber

Good luck Mara - London prices are silly. I've been thinking recently we should cash in, get a smaller mortgage and move to Essex/Kent & I could stop working... DH is entertaining the idea Grin but am a bit worried I'd get bored in the country.
