Fairly busy weekend - taxi service yesterday followed by a garden party in the afternoon and BBQ in the evening. As both were pretty casual, I wore my Gap maxi skirt, white vest and gigi's which don't go at all as they are animal print and orange but hey ho!

Today dh and I took off for a few hours and had a lovely leisurely lunch, came home and promptly nodded off on the sofa! I wore boden 7/8 in silver grey, a cream ted baker top with a flowery back (can't find a link), dune sandals and turquoise fossil bag. (Saw a fab fiat 500 that would have match the bag perfectly)

Shame about your watch Shop.

Busy afternoon but managed a quick visit to tk maxx to get supergas for ds and also picked up a red Cynthia rowley maxi dress for myself which love, can't find a link.

Just had a lovely evening at home with dsises while avoiding football. Rare occurrence, we are usually spread far and wide. The past week has had a touch of magic about it as life does sometimes, don't want this bubble to burst and am starting to feel nervous about the enormity or forthcoming move.

mara I feel for you. We relocated 5 years ago and it's very stressful. Luckily for us everything seemed to fall into place with schools, house etc and we've made some fabulous friends.

I slept so badly, my eyes are a disgrace, I shouldn't have gone there but actually it was useful in a way. I know now why the expectations on both sides will never be met.

Luckily work is quite good atm so I'll go in today (with puffy eyes argh!) and chat about work and tomorrow. It's good to have something to think about and do, I like the people too which is helpful. And they are being nice to me!

And I really appreciate all you voguettes more than I can say, so don't go anywhere

Mara do you know where you would like to move to? It might feel a bit easier when you have a place that feels exciting etc

Marsha - - hope you are ok, can't think what you may have done to provoke such disapproval were you pole dancing naked in a club? but I'm sure it is all to do with their issues, not you .

Mara - I was thinking about you yesterday, have you considered looking at Kingston? Lovely community, great schools, right next to Richmond Park and the river but not quite as crazy £ as Richmond (and I don't think any issues with flight path).

am spending the morning organising pinterest boards for a few home projects - they ve been so disorganised they re annoying me!
and ordering photos albums, organising photos from the last year. Have booked a family portrait so want to have them organised for when they come.

Shop - reckon you re probably right about Cheryl. Love trilby hats on kiddies (mine wont let me choose hats for them now)

Mara - house moves are daunting, but a great adventure too. hope you get sorted, Think Novice might have some packing tips

Dog is v poorly Sleep. I've just been for a walk with her round the field and she's not her usual self :(
DH is now getting concerned about leaving her to go on holiday (understandably) - not sure what will happen.......

No fashion news to report here but had an amazing weekend for my joint 40th party at the English seaside with loads of old friends. I feel very touched that so many people made the effort to come.

I wore the red dress, it fitted the retro seaside and the Edwardian ballroom far better than the urban AS one.

In recovery again but all worth it.

Mara are you definitely looking in south west London? I don't know that area that well, Wimbledon and Twickenham and surrounds are quite nice I think. Or Chiswick is lovely if you want to be a little closer in.

Stokey your weekend sounds brill - such a fab time of year for a birthday.
So my JCrew panama has arrived and is brill. The brim is straight across unlike my other panama so they actually look quite different (my excuse for having 2!). The linen tee is super bright but I love it. DS' trilby fits too but since we tried it he has refused to put it back on

I have horrendous tooth ache. my head feels as if it's going to explode. Thought I was going to fall asleep at work. I'm an old battle axe, I don't get ill, but wisdom teeth are my nemesis I'm a big woos when it comes to tooth extraction.
