if I were brave divine

Secretsquirrel13 · 11/07/2014 23:31

Not sure Dry, really not sure.
Liberty not tried mine on yet but know I'm going to love the Clea. Also guiltily received this today, beautiful leather.
Been v warm here today I've worn the DP broderie dress and felt cool but had an overall suspicion that I look like a milkmaid!

Secretsquirrel13 · 11/07/2014 23:47

Oh ands Santa especially as well as everyone else thank you for the bag advice, the bag will still be there later you are right and will have a little a/w splurge over the next few months instead.

maradesbois · 12/07/2014 00:28

Evening,

Loads of great links have just been catching up on. Seems like a/w season is being prepared for...

liberty fab knitwear and love that red skirt. Be careful washing it though, I had a black aubin & wills mini in similar crinkly fabric and shrank it so much have just given away to skinny dsis.

MoF love your AS dress. Nice shape & good discount.

secret Whistles bikers are fab, I'd love a navy one too.

turq that jacket will be a great wardrobe staple without being too classic.

I love autumn too but am still on summer sale bargain spotting.

marsha haven't got outnet dresses yet, dh went to buy meat instead of being in to sign for DHL on fri so will be mon now.

topaz have a great holiday.

shopafrolic · 12/07/2014 08:08

Morning all.
Have a great holiday Topaz
MoF - love that dress. I love Autumn too. Not only is it more my colours, but I think I feel less guilt attached to purchases. Boots, knitwear, beautiful coats seem worth the money. Better made somehow.....
We watched Wolf of Wall Street last night - hilarious 80s fashion. Very full on.

Hello all. Lots to catch up on. I took a mini break as I've been feeling hormonal and down and dare I say it not really that interested in talking about clothes Shock

shop I really hope you doggy is ok. Pets become part of the family and are as worrying as kids when ill.

AW clothes are definitely more interesting and it's easier to look stylish IMO. When it's this hot I often can't be bothered to add in accessories.

Fedupnagging · 12/07/2014 09:53

I wondered where you were Queen hope you're feeling more human now.

Topaz have a lovely holiday.

MoF love that All Saints dress and great price too.

Went to a charity fundraiser last night - wore the Laura Ashley silk dress and had lots of comments. The wine was dire though and I now have a massive headache. (And before you ask, no i didn't over indulge!). To make matters worse, the neighbours have gardeners in using a chainsaw and VERY LOUD lawn mower. Grrrr

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/07/2014 11:58

Good morning everyone!

Had an 11th hour reprieve and now don't have to go to Chester races so finally have a few minutes to join the conversation and catch up a bit. Loving the aw links - I too have succumbed and ordered this coat, but as I'm off to the US in 3 weeks I'm saving myself a bit. Besides, I've splurged a little too much on bargainous summer items in the sales lately and want to rein myself in (don't want to spoil all that lovely American shopping by not having enough money!)

It's a beautiful day here, so now I've changed out of my racing clothes and am wearing jumpsuit and sandals which are lovely and cool and really comfy.

Have to pick DD1 up from Newmarket races later, so DD2 and I are going to have a bite of lunch and a mooch around Cambridge this afternoon. Always good for a bit of style-watching!

Have good days y'all.

bettykt · 12/07/2014 13:04

Liberty is your red skirt for daytime or evening? I'd really like a black skirt to wear out in the evenings, I love the style but can't tell from the photos whether it's more day or evening wear.

Beautiful jacket Squirrel

That's a stunning dress Dry

Cool outfit Grumpy

I've just ordered a dress which I'll link tomorrow after I've collected it and tried it on. I want to make sure the next size up is still available just in case it's a bit small on me.

Drywhiteplease · 12/07/2014 14:00

Off to city later to see a genius about my annoying iPhone .....plan is to go in and out. No other shops Hmm..... But..........will I be able to resist sneaking a peak at the black Florettes ? Hmm ....and if I do.......will I resist buying them Hmm......... Grin

Fedup poor you! but it sounds as if you had a lovely evening. Love an opportunity to get dressed up.
QueenC my sympathies

And finally........was pegging my washing out this morning in my pjs, DS crocs,no make up, v flat hair....when "hi Dry..." Bloody Johnny Depp builder mate popped in to tweak my scaffolding. The HUMILIATION!!!

libertychick · 12/07/2014 15:46

Dry that is sooooo funny! I think the Anthropologie dress would be great on you but yes you would have to be feeling brave, but the shape and style etc is very you.

Secret I don't think you need to feel guilty about the navy biker, you will get the CPW.

Mara thanks for the heads up on washing that type of fabric. I haven't checked the label yet. Linus, how has your black one washed?

Betty I think the skirt could work for day or evening. The fabric feels quite heavy and I think it would work for evening with a silk top and heels. This type of look

Welcome back grumpy - hope you have a nice chilled out day.

libertychick · 13/07/2014 07:43

Was it something I said? :)

Good morning Voguettes.

Asos BF jeans, white vest and coral blouse for me today. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

MarshaBrady · 13/07/2014 07:56

Morning Liberty Smile And everyone.

I am in the same zone as QueenC have been thinking about getting some stuff, but can't decide.

A long dc-free lunch out today. I might wear Marant check shirt and indigo Rag&Bone skinnies.

MarshaBrady · 13/07/2014 08:18

Dry you are funny. But tweak your scaffolding oh my! Wink

Grumpy that jumpsuit looks fab. But MD coat goes to homepage, annoying when sites do that. We need linking ones!

Shop that movie is wild. Love Leo in it. But also I kelp seeing Margot Robbie on pin as a brunette. She looks much better as a blonde imo.

MarshaBrady · 13/07/2014 08:20

MoF fab dress.

Topaz have a lovely holiday.

What's everyone wearing today? Weather is a bit tricky atm

MarshaBrady · 13/07/2014 09:00

I have ordered Frame, J Brand and Aries from Matches to try.

They all came back to my wishlist at the same time so I thought may as well. Will be sending back two if not all three if not right.

libertychick · 13/07/2014 09:20

It's just us Marsha!

Hope the jeans work out. DD wants to go for a coffee (our Sunday morning ritual) so I am going to pop into Gap and see if I can try on the maxi skirt fedup linked. And Boots to buy the lovely nail polish QueenC was wearing to the MU last week.

MarshaBrady · 13/07/2014 09:30

Liberty clings on phew! Grin

Always wanted to try Frame

or some very dark indigo J Brand photo ready

or wild card Aries bleached out might look terrible on. Colour is good, but shape might not be right.

Have fun today!

maradesbois · 13/07/2014 09:49

Morning!

Enjoying coffee with dh and papers. Contemplating whether to swim or go for a run, will see. Out later to see exhibition, thinking gap red skinny khakis with white tee, tod's ballerinas and goyard tote. Is kind of weather where I would love a coloured biker in really soft leather to throw on...

liberty and marsha both good outfits for relaxed Sundays, enjoy!

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2014 09:57

Morning, I'm hereGrin
So, I feel my search for there felt suede court might become quite epic:

Had a quick visit to LK Bennet to check out Florettes. Didn't have black suede, I guess they're A/W, but sales assistant gave me these to try. Made me feel a bit per nauseous, I don't do a lot of pink, and NEVER pink shoes....ugg.

Anyway, I digress moi?...so far:
florette this is the sensible option. Fit well, reasonable heel height, versatile, etc....indeed a classic court. I liked, but didn't love. But does anyone get excited about a classic court?
BUT I loved these damn, love high, love a round toe wide feet love a hidden platform short arse generally thought they were fab.

So.....head says Floterre, heart says Harley. Hmm

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2014 09:59

DO NOT do a me and say "get both" Grin

Secretsquirrel13 · 13/07/2014 10:10

Prefer the floretes. But have issues with LKB quality in general.
Wearing grey skinnies and pink vest top it's still v humid here.

bettykt · 13/07/2014 10:26

Morning, having a lazy morning here so not dressed yet Blush taking dc to a party at a soft play centre later on so will probably wear grey skinnies and orange tank.

Dry re: shoes buy whichever ones you can see yourself wearing most often. If you buy the Floretes just because they are a classic but you find them boring then you won't be excited when you wear them. If the Harleys excite you more and you can see yourself wearing them more often, get them. After all they are not cheap so at least you want to feel they are worth the investment when you wear them. Happy deciding.

Drywhiteplease · 13/07/2014 10:26

Oh Secret which brand would you go for? I'm prepared to invest, hence the extensive research.

MarshaBrady · 13/07/2014 11:08

That's a hard one Dry I was going to say the Floretes. But if you don't love them as much as the others, it's a tricky one.
