your poor dog shop i hope they recover Sad

bought a royal blue, long sleeve Biba dress for £12 really pleased with it.especially as its a size 12 and fots like a glove Grin

AmberNectarine · 10/07/2014 15:03

Hmm, not sure about Bentley - feels a little 'safe'. Will hang on for now, but have a look round the shops at the weekend!

Stokey · 10/07/2014 15:21

Amber I was quite impressed with All Saints. The dress I bought was silk and half price with another 20% off and a bit more edgy than some other places.

Blair Pronovias on Bond St is quite a good place to start. It has loads of dresses and styles covering a budget from about £800-£5000, so a great range. Anything from straight to meringue!

Drywhiteplease · 10/07/2014 16:28

Linus my black Madewell top has arrived and it's on already you know me, can't wait with bf jeans, gold Gigis. It's quite sheer do have a vest top underneath it (do you too?)

LinusDKD · 10/07/2014 16:32

They are great aren't they dry? I just tried mine on quickly but it didn't look like I needed a vest for the blue. I suspect the white I ordered will need a vest top.

amber not sure this is wedding appropriate (depends on the wedding I guess) but when I saw this I had to think of you.

LinusDKD · 10/07/2014 16:35

Or this

LinusDKD · 10/07/2014 16:36

You would teally stand out in this if you'd have the cojones to wear it. Wink

LinusDKD · 10/07/2014 16:37

Will try and catch-up properly later after the DC are in bed.

shopafrolic · 10/07/2014 16:43

Liberty in theory the dog is going in kennels when we go on holiday but if she's still ill then I have no idea what we'll do :(

Linus I love the Tart one - not sure I have the figure for a white dress though? Had already seen the leather one - I like it but want to wear my Wang shoes so it might be a bit much?

shopafrolic · 10/07/2014 17:49

You could totally rock the Tart dress Amber

Quickly before bathtime: the white dress description says that you don't even need a bra as there is a bra incorporated and the rest of the dress seems to have a decent amount of Spandex etc in it to suck you in in the right places.

I LOVE that leather dress but could not pull it off. Do you have to wear the cobalt shoes or do you have some heels that would work with this dress?

bettykt · 10/07/2014 19:53

Can't keep up at the moment, trying to pack for holidays, need clothes for beach, mountains and city. Just want to say happy belated birthday to Stokey. Loved your bracelet and bag btw.

Topazandpearl · 10/07/2014 20:47

Novice all that jewellery looks great. What lovely things.

Linus that was a really upsetting thing to see at nursery. Have you seen the mum again?

Belated 'Happy Birthday', Stokey, lovely bracelet and bag. Hope your cold is getting better.

Dry your Wednesday outfit sounds great. Your building work sounds exciting. Maybe the Johnny Depp helper will compensate for the dust?

Santa I like that Mulberry bag. As Blair said, it looks like they are returning to their previous levels of price.

Great shirt Liberty, shame about the skirt.

My workwear is also similar in style to Dry and Blair except I need at least a cap sleeve. My casual wear is more jeans etc.

Sleep your night sounds lovely. I love the sound of the swanky do followed by going out for dessert.

I love the dress Fedup. I have a similar one which I have worn with silver accessories. Your ring will go nicely with it.

Great belt Shop, hope your dog is better before you go away.

Have a great holiday bettykt.

LinusDKD · 10/07/2014 21:01

topaz when I went to pick up DD yesterday I asked after the little girl and the nursery said that she was ok and that they were going to have a word with the mum and that the mum doesn't speak the local language. Hmm

I guess they couldn't or weren't allowed to say anything else (which I understand) because a thumbs up to say everything is fine with your child to the nursery staff at drop-off and a cuddle for your child doesn't require words or fluency in any language.

shop your poor dog! I really hope she feels better soon.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/07/2014 22:04

Dry I've been thinking on and off about the gold tone necklaces issue. I have one statement necklace from Zara and one from J Crew, but they are both brass-toned so quite casual. They haven't tarnished though.

I rate Stella and Dot for their gold plating but I don't have any of their chunky necklaces. I do have this long one but usually wear it over something. (If I'm wearing a necklace actually next to my skin it will usually be a fine one.) I have a bracelet from them and have worn it loads and the gold plating is fine.

That was a bit rambly, sorry! I'd like to try Eddie Borgo and similarly priced brands next but I never seem to love anything enough to just go for it. Oh wait, it's my birthday soon Grin

Drywhiteplease · 10/07/2014 22:47

Blair the answer is simple......I need the real stuff Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/07/2014 22:56

If only it were that simple :( Grin

OneLittleLady · 10/07/2014 23:06

In clothing size shocker, I bought a navy, button thru corduroy skirt today, ticket on the front and hanger both said size 16 (i know i usually wear a 14 atm but it was a straighter style so thought I might need extra room for my hips) anyway, tried it on, it's a little tight. Sit down in it, it doesn't pop open, happy enough with it. Take it off to put pjs on and catch sight of the inner labels......it's actually (and I double checked by measuring with tape measure afterwards) a size TWELVE!! I admit to it being a little snug but it's a wearable fit Grin the earlier mentioned BIba dress in a twelve has plenty of stretch to it so was always confident it would fit but am very shocked by the skirt as the skirt has no give in it!

libertychick · 10/07/2014 23:32

Great news One. Nice confidence boost!

Drywhiteplease · 11/07/2014 08:04

Hehe...the boss is away today so it's just me and Johnny Depp and, great news for a Friday, the lovely electrician of the flicky hair is coming too will have to rush home from work to make tea/enjoy the view AND Johnny just lifted his t shirt to show me his sun burn...Grin with out any warning Shock I can over all peculiar...just having a sit down and cuppa Grin

Well done One

Hope you all have as great a day as me Wink
