Actually I take that back, too many gathers on waist.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/07/2014 21:43

Dry you are truly my style twin. I think pencil skirt + 3/4 sleeves + slash neck would be my ideal outfit!

Nice shirt liberty shame about the skirt, it looks thick in the picture.

libertychick · 09/07/2014 21:46

I like slash neck too but for some reason never seem to see them.

Drywhiteplease · 09/07/2014 22:35

Blair my perfect dress style, slash neck, pencil skirt, nipped in waist, sleeve or sleeveless.....

MarshaBrady · 09/07/2014 22:38

That does sound very good Dry a bit Mad Men (but not costume-y or retro), very chic.

MarshaBrady · 09/07/2014 22:40

Great shirt Liberty, shame about the skirt. Material looks quite thick in the pic, annoying when that happens.

MarshaBrady · 09/07/2014 22:44

Blair just let us know if you want us to start linking wedding dress styles we think would look ace on you Wink can really see you in straight across the top btw

I'm sure we can oblige Grin

libertychick · 09/07/2014 22:54

If you look closely at the pic Marsha you can see the pockets through the fabric. I need to get better at spotting these things before I order.

Blair and dry you totally are style twins.

libertychick · 09/07/2014 22:56

Oh I cannot wait for Blair to start linking wedding stuff! Vicarious wedding shopping - bliss. Also can we advise/help with your gift list? (Begs) :)

Drywhiteplease · 09/07/2014 22:58

Ok, Blair I'll just buy all your links from now on, I'm still looking for gold costume necklaces that don't tarnish around the neck btw....?Think the MV is a teeny bit darker , will try cleaning it.

Hello I have so much catching up to do!

Happy birthday Stokey!

Out with DH tonight, very swanky cocktail party at the a Royal Academy Exhibition (thank you again Dry I am wearing the blue Karl dress Smile. Ate too many amazing canapés and sashimi to want dinner so headed to Bar Italia for coffee and dessert and football Hmm Smile. Fab night out, very buzzy summer in London feeling, love it.

Lib tan is Vita Liberata, I use medium shade in the pHenomanal (2-3wk mousse) but all great.

shopafrolic · 10/07/2014 07:55

1/3 off fake tan on Boots.com at the moment. I might try the Vita Liberata but in fair to start off with. Do you need to use a mitt Sleep?

OP posts:
Sleepwhenidie · 10/07/2014 08:46

Yes, plastic gloves (the ones in first aid section are fine you don't need the expensive tanning ones ) and mitts. Fatal orange palm situation otherwise, the mousse soaks in very quickly, good on body, bad on hands!

Fedupnagging · 10/07/2014 09:38

Lost a lovely long post last night and didn't have time to re do before I went out. Will summarise:
Stokey lovely bracelet and hope you feeling better
Marsha love the top
Santa Fendi dress is a great style, really like it, also the bucket bag
Liberty really unusual shirt and can def see you wearing it

Love a slash neck with 3/4 sleeves and have several in that style.

Sleep that sounds like a lovely evening.

Fedupnagging · 10/07/2014 09:53

I have finally found a maxi skirt that doesn't make me look pg or dumpy from Gap here. Am wearing it today with mint velvet s/s navy jumper. In fact the skirt is incredibly flattering so loving my outfit.

This gorgeous dress was less than half price in HOF so at £70 thought why not! I have a ball to go to in October so will be perfect. Just need shoes......

libertychick · 10/07/2014 10:09

Sounds like a great night out Sleep. Thanks for the tan recommendation and the tip re plastic gloves! I'll give it a go.

Fedup that dress is beautiful, very elegant. I like the sound of a flattering maxi!

Sleepwhenidie · 10/07/2014 10:14

I've almost bought that Gap skirt a couple of times fedup, it looks great. Love the maxi too.

maradesbois · 10/07/2014 10:23

Morning all,

fedup like your dress, is it jersey fabric? Navy is so chic. I have a ball in oct too which bought dvf maxi for. I can't do that heavy duchesse(?) satin and it's nice to have an alternative to the ubiquitous long black dress.

liberty glad at least shirt is a keeper. I need to work on studying pics before clicking too but it can be hard to tell.

Need to go out but am skulking around hoping to be able to intercept outnet delivery (Tart dresses) before dh! Not that he would pass comment but am just conscious that he sees everything that comes in when working from home but not the returns. Silly really, he bought work clothes at boggi yesterday and doubt having to justify the spend to himself crossed his mind for a second!

shopafrolic · 10/07/2014 11:33

Morning all. Poorly dog again. She's costs the price of the Jimmy Choo boots in treatment so far :(

The Isabel Marant belts arrived. They are definitely wider than the ones Marsha and Linus had bought I think as are 2.5cm. I am keeping the brown one

Sending the blue one back as the colour isn't strong enough for me.

OP posts:
libertychick · 10/07/2014 12:15

Oh poor dog - and your poor wallet Shop Sad. Are you taking her on hols with you?

Marant brown belt is beautiful.

Stokey · 10/07/2014 12:17

Love that dress Fedup . I've also tried on the Gap skirt but went for the JCrew one instead which I've already worn about 4 times since buying a week ago.

Hope your pup is better Shop

I did get my Natasha bag in faded aluminium and am very happy with it.

I was about to do my first Hush shop - five things in my basket - but have just cancelled it as you have to pay for returns. It does annoy when online shops do this - surely free returns should be standard. I know I don't want all three dresses I had but would have liked to try them on and decide.

Still ill, have phoned in sick and hopeful a day on the sofa will sort me out.

Fedupnagging · 10/07/2014 12:42

The dress is polyester and elastine but is thick fabric with a decent lining - great for skimming over lumps and bumps! Mara, I'm not keen on satin on me either.

Shop sorry your dog is unwell again - do you have pet insurance you could claim on? Love the belts especially the blue you have returned!

Nice bag Stokey and great colour. Hope you feel better.

Secretsquirrel13 · 10/07/2014 13:43

Stokey happy birthday lovely bag hope you enjoy the day and are looking forward to Saturday.
returns-I dislike having to pay for them too but for me living in the midst of nowhere to return something to a store is not feasible as involves petrol costs plus parking charges plus having to take at least one sometimes two small children. So I'd rather just pay the £3 or £5 at the village post office. Feel the same re shipping charges, often I can't get to shops to try of buy so paying up to £6 is reasonable (to me) for the reasons above. Have typed so much I feel like I'm ranting now!

Secretsquirrel13 · 10/07/2014 13:46

Shop hope your dog improves x

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/07/2014 13:58

Oh shop I hope your dog is ok.

Marsha and liberty I'd be honoured to have help/suggestions/advice from all the Voguettes in planning my wedding! Once I get the ring (feels like it's been ages) we'll be going to visit some venues I hope. I do have a wedding dresses Pinterest board Wink (not in a bridezilla type way, just a "might be useful to plan ahead" type way!) so feel free to comment/suggest...

Does anyone know if Matches ever do further discount codes on the final sale? Something I've been watching since the start is only reduced by 40% and I'm not sure it's enough.

fedup a beautiful dress, would be lovely with silver shoes.

Stokey you got the bag! Love the colour :)
