Morning!
Horrible weather again so I'm wearing my lovely bikers with the black TS Leigh jeans I bought in London last weekend and a J Crew chambray shirt.
Am shocked by something I saw at DD's nursery this morning. Whilst I was taking off DD's coat and boots in the cloakroom another mother 'dropped off' her DD but the way she did it was shocking.
She opened the sliding doors to the nursery bit, put her DD inside and closed the doors again without saying a word. Of course the poor child started crying immediately (she must have been about two years old) but the mum walked past me in the cloakroom and out the building.
I was so stunned that I thought I must have been wrong in what I saw but when I took DD in the nursery the little girl was being comforted by a nursery nurse.
When I asked her if I what I had seen did actually happen she and a colleague were totally shocked and said yes, the mum just 'threw in' her child and left.
I know parents are rushed in the morning but it only takes a minute to say goodmorning to the nursery nurses, tell them about your DC (slept well, already had breakfast at home so doesn't need to eat at the nursery, etc) and then give your DC a kiss and a cuddle before saying goodbye.
Sorry this is a bit long but I am still in shock.
