Bagpuss30 · 31/08/2006 08:53

But are they OK for the large of nork? and could you point me in the direction of some nice ones please?

ocd · 31/08/2006 08:53

baggy htats my worry
i think patterned oens may well be bad for norkage but plain ones(In dreaded boden) may be minimising actch

Love tank tops - have a fab one from George I bought two years ago - like you say great with a white l-sleeve top and jeans.

Shall be looking for a few more this year.

danceswithmonkeys · 31/08/2006 08:55

I love tank tops and now I have cod's approval, I'm off shopping
Actually had some funky ones in boden, aaaah boden...sigh (why so expensive johnny, WHY?!)

loujay · 31/08/2006 08:55

I seem to spend my life in trainers, maybe should get some shoes though

shazronnie · 31/08/2006 08:55

tank tops are great for disguising that mummy tummy!

ocd · 31/08/2006 08:56

do tank tops really look that good???

I love them and wore them lots last time they were about, but am scared of either looking like a 'past it sad woman trying too hard', or even too 'preppy' IYGWIM?

saw some in tesco last night, along with some lovely stripy tops (which too I am too scared to try), and was tempted......

ocd · 31/08/2006 08:58

everyone seems to love trainers - i think it may suit the look

ocd · 31/08/2006 08:58

psychomum5 · 31/08/2006 09:06

yup....tesco.....we have a fab tesco extra right by us and it has some really nice clothes in.

good prices too

the knitwear starts from £5, and that is one thing sorely needed by me as I have nothing decent as all my last lot got binned last year!

ocd · 31/08/2006 09:08

is it real wool or......... [polysyer viscose.....

OP posts:
ocd · 31/08/2006 09:10

UPDATE
these are ok for large of nork only if cut with low scoop neck

saw two on large-norked laydeez on the way into work this morning
Crew neck = bad
scoop neck with equally low tshirt underneath = surprisingly good

iota · 31/08/2006 09:12

mmmmm I remember them from the 70's - it's gonna take me a while to start liking them again

MegaLegs · 31/08/2006 09:12

show me a tank top picture. I saw some yesterday that were massive baggy things. I couldn't work out how you would wear them. I felt like I was 14 again in Brighton yesterday, stripes, primary colours, chunky plastic jewellery.

ocd · 31/08/2006 09:15

have oredered
we will see

OP posts:
psychomum5 · 31/08/2006 09:15

ah now, that is something I am not sure on.....probably not wool tho.

mind you, the last few times I have bought real wool I have ended up having to pass said tops to my daughters as I always manage to shrink them

so for me now......never ever real wool!!!!

MrsBadger · 31/08/2006 09:15

Boden-esque tank in Next - not bad shape for large norks

MegaLegs · 31/08/2006 09:16

Ooh I like that, alas have spent all my money.

beetroot · 31/08/2006 09:17

really don't like those either
